Alex Fitzpatrick, of England, hits on the 14th tee during first round of the Truist Championship golf tournament at the Quail Hollow Club, Thursday, May 7, 2026, in Charlotte, N.C.

The PGA Tour hops over the pond to the United Kingdom for the first of two events. Up first this week is the co-sanctioned Scottish Open, which will feature 75 golfers from the PGA Tour and 75 from the DP World Tour (European Tour).

It’s the last tune-up before next week’s Open Championship at Royal Birkdale.

Rory McIlroy, Robert MacIntyre, Xander Schauffele, and last year’s winner (who also won last week) Chris Gotterup, are among the former winners at Renaissance Club who will be competing this week.

When watching the 2026 Scottish Open, you can pick a lot more than just to win the event. Other PGA picks on PrizePicks Team Picks include top 10 finishers, top 20 finishers, first-round leaders, top finishers in each round, and much more.

With that in mind, let's break down our top Scottish Open sleeper picks and top 10 predictions to consider for Renaissance Club this week.

2026 Scottish Open Sleepers, Picks for Top 10 Finish

The Renaissance Club is a modern links course that loosely has the “proper” links characteristics that we’ve seen at the Open Championship. This event now serves as a great opportunity for PGA Tour golfers to get an extra week to prepare their games for the season’s final major — The Open.

Links golf in Scotland is known to feature high sustained winds and firm and fast conditions, which encourage players to flight approach shots beneath the winds and lean on a crafty short game for scoring.

Here are three golfers to consider for your Scottish Open top 10 finisher picks on PrizePicks Team Picks

The Scottish Open payouts listed below (like 2x) indicate real-money earnings if a prediction is correct; for example, a 2x on a $100 entry pays out $200 on PrizePicks Team Picks.

The lower the payout multiplier, the higher the chance of the outcome occurring, according to user picks.

Rory McIlroy Scottish Open Prediction

Rory McIlroy Top 10 Finish Payouts: Yes 2.22x | No 1.61x

Rory McIlroy To Win Scottish Open: Yes 7.69x | No 1.06x

  • Rory has only played 9 events this year on Tour, but six of them are top-20 finishes.
  • He did not play at the Travelers two weeks ago. Instead, he went overseas to start practicing for the Opens.
  • At the Renaissance Club, McIlroy’s results have been: win, fourth, and second.
  • The six-time major champion has been excellent at the biggest events, winning the Masters in April, finishing second at the Genesis Invitational, seventh at the PGA and top 20s at the Truist and Memorial.
  • He’s gained shots off the tee in all 11 worldwide events this season.

Tom Kim Scottish Open Prediction

Tom Kim Top 10 Finish Payouts: Yes 5.88x | No 1.11x

Tom Kim to Win Scottish Open: Yes 33.3x

  • Tom Kim has top 17s in all four appearances at the Renaissance Club, including a third-place finish in 2022 and a sixth-place finish in 2023.
  • Playing well of late with a 15th-place finish in Canada, a third-place finish at the U.S. Open, and was in contention entering the weekend last week in Quad Cities before fading late.
  • He’s 11th in shots gained approach, gaining shots in seven straight and 11 of the last 12 events.
  • Kim has been great off the tee (third in driving efficiency) but awful with the putter (102nd), which should be mitigated this week with the big, slow greens.

Alex Fitzpatrick Top-10 Finish Payouts: Yes 4.54x | No 1.17x

  • He’s gained shots on approach in six of his last seven PGA Tour events.
  • Alex Fitzpatrick has also gained shots off the tee in all eight Tour events he has played.
  • Before getting his PGA Tour card, he won the Hero Indian Open on the DP World Tour, against many of the same golfers he will see this weekend.

Best 2026 Scottish Open Sleeper Pick

Everyone loves a long shot, even if they don’t always hit. While the Scottish Open has seen its share of long-shot winners, the last few have been the cream of the crop in Rory McIlroy, Xander Schauffele, and Ryder Cup captain Keegan Bradley.

Here is one sleeper pick for this week’s 2026 Scottish Open, a golfer very familiar with good results in this event.

Ryan Fox Scottish Open Prediction

  • The Kiwi is top-30 in driving distance and in ball striking on coastal, wintry courses, per datagolf.com.
