Halloween hasn’t arrived yet, and we might already be talking about must-win games. It feels like a matchup where the Rams either win or this season may slip away.

Los Angeles was an early-season favorite to win the Super Bowl, and now its last in the NFC West at 2-4. It’s not like the Rams are only a couple of games out of contention in the division. With the 49ers at 6-0, they have a huge mountain to climb.

Injuries have been brutal for the Rams all season. It started in Week 1 against the 49ers, when they lost newly acquired EDGE Myles Garrett, who will not be available for this game. Garrett and recently unretired DT Aaron Donald were supposed to form one of the league's most dangerous pass-rush duos, but they haven't shared the field.

The wide receiver depth has also taken a hit. The Rams already lost WR Puka Nacua for two games earlier in the season, and he's questionable due to a calf injury he suffered in practice on Thursday. They won't have WR Davante Adams, who is out for 6 to 10 weeks with a ruptured hamstring.

Can the Raiders capitalize on the Rams' injuries and get back into the win column?

Las Vegas had an unexpectedly great start to the season, winning its first three games. However, those victories came against the Dolphins, Chargers, and Saints, who are 2-15 combined.

The Raiders are in the middle of a gauntlet after losing to the Chiefs, Patriots, and Bills. After Week 7, their next opponents include the 49ers, Seahawks, and Broncos.

In those first three games, Raiders QB Kirk Cousins was fantastic, throwing for 9 passing TDs, a 107.2 passer rating, and a 67.6% completion rate. Over the last three games, he has just 3 passing TDs, a 93.1 passer rating, and a 62.5% completion rate.

We even saw 2026 #1 overall pick Fernando Mendoza get some playing time. Cousins’ time as the starter could be ending soon if the Raiders extend their losing streak.

If Las Vegas wants to pull off this upset, RB Ashton Jeanty and TE Brock Bowers need to be highly involved.

Along with Garrett, the Rams have several defensive players who may not play, including LB Nate Landman (out) and CB Trent McDuffie (questionable). Las Vegas can exploit those matchups with its high-level skill players.
