The NASCAR All-Star Race goes green on Sunday, May 17, at 1:00 p.m. ET at Dover Motor Speedway on FS1, in what is anything but a typical NASCAR Cup Series race.

Sunday’s race in Dover, Delaware is 350 laps, totaling 350 miles — a 100-lap increase from last season’s All-Star event in North Carolina.

Below, we'll break down our NASCAR All-Star predictions and outright pick to win for Sunday’s race, including top driver picks for PrizePicks.

2026 NASCAR All-Star Race Format and Rules

Before we get to the predictions, it's important we lay out how this All-Star Race is far different — and more difficult to predict — than an average Sunday Cup Series race.

There is $1 million on the line for the winner in this race that showcases three segments. Thirty-six drivers will take the track in each of the first two 75-lap segments, then it drops to 26 drivers for the final 200 laps.

So if you're outside the top 26 after lap 150, your All-Star Raceis over.

In the final All-Star segment, 19 drivers are locked in, 17 winners since the start of 2025 and two former Cup champs (Kyle Busch and Brad Keselowski). The list of winners since last season includes Denny Hamlin, Kyle Larson, Tyler Reddick, Ryan Blaney, William Byron, and Christopher Bell.

Seven spots remain with 17 drivers looking to lock those up, including Daniel Suarez, Chris Buescher, and Ricky Stenhouse, Jr.

Qualifying is only three laps on Saturday, with the total time of that run setting the order for the first segment.

NASCAR All-Star Race Winner, Top 10 Predictions for Dover – Sunday, May 17

Christopher Bell won last year’s All-Star event, finishing ahead of Joey Logano and Ross Chastain.

Although the rules are different from a typical race, it is notable that Denny Hamlin has won at Dover each of the last two years.

Larson owns six Top 10 finishes in the last seven Dover events, but he closed 21st in last season’s All-Star race.

Reddick, who has been the top driver this season, finished seventh in last season’s All-Star event. In seven career Dover races, Reddick placed in the Top 10 only twice.

The favorite to win the 2026 NASCAR All-Star Race is Denny Hamlin, entering Saturday's qualifying, according to PrizePicks Team Picks. Hamlin pays 2.77x — or $270 on a $100 entry — if he wins the race, and 1.4x on No to win the race.

Hamlin currently has a 4.34x payout ($100 pays out $434) if he wins, while several other drivers, including Larson, are right behind him at a 5x payout to win at Dover, according to PrizePicks.

Payout multipliers listed below (like 2x) indicate real-money earnings if your NASCAR predictions are correct; for example, 2x on a $100 entry pays $200 if correct on PrizePicks Team Picks — available in 35 states, including Delaware. “Yes” payouts represent a specific outcome occurring, whereas "No" payouts indicate the opposite.
