Tatis has compiled three multi-hit games this season and six hits in 11 at-bats in day action.
Ben Lively takes the mound for Cleveland today, who yielded four hits in five innings of the season opener at Kansas City.
Mariners IF J.P. Crawford — 0.5 Total Bases
It’s been a struggle early on for Seattle, who has started 2-4 and dropped the first two games to Detroit. IF J.P. Crawford is also feeling the heavy bat, as he has one hit in 13 at-bats.
The only silver lining for Crawford heading into today’s series finale is he owns moderate success against Cy Young winner Tarik Skubal. Granted it’s two at-bats, but Crawford has picked up a hit each time against the Detroit ace.
Last season, Crawford hit .202 overall, but his average jumped to .262 against left-handed pitchers, with a .334 wOBA and 15.4% K rate.

Orioles P Zach Eflin — 5.0 Strikeouts
The Orioles are seeking consecutive wins for the first time this season after beating the Red Sox on Monday, 8-5. Zach Eflin makes his second start following a 12-2 win over Toronto in the season opener.
Eflin struck out only two batters in six innings of work, although he reached a two-strike count on seven other occasions. The right-hander’s projection against the Blue Jays was 3.5 in that game, as tonight’s has jumped to five.
Toronto has struck out 18 times in six games against starting pitchers, while Boston has struck out 30 times in five games against starters. Dating back to last season, Eflin has finished with less than this strikeout projection in six consecutive outings.
Diamondbacks P Zac Gallen — 5.5 Strikeouts
Arizona P Zac Gallen makes his second start after getting knocked around in his season debut by the Cubs. Gallen had fours across the board against Chicago by tossing four innings and allowing four hits, four runs, striking out four, and walking four.
The right-hander finished with less than 5.5 strikeouts in the 10-6 loss to the Cubs, as his projection sits at 5.5 tonight against the Yankees. New York’s offense has struck out eight times against two starters this season, Milwaukee’s Freddy Peralta and Arizona’s Corbin Burnes.
Gallen closed last season picking up more strikeouts than his projection in six of the final seven starts. In his lone outing against the Yankees last April, Gallen recorded six strikeouts in six innings of a 7-0 home win.
Home Run Pick: Phillies RF Nick Castellanos
Rockies P Kyle Freeland may be due for regression tonight after tossing six scoreless innings in a 3-2 defeat at Tampa Bay. Nick Castellanos has gone deep three times against Freeland in 14 at-bats, including twice in one game in 2023.
Castellanos homered in Monday’s win over Colorado, but went deep in consecutive games just twice in 2024. Freeland closed last season allowing at least one home run in 10 of 14 starts.
Last year, Castellanos’ ISO was .237 against lefties, compared to .156 against right-handed pitchers. In addition, the forecast calls for 11 mile per hour winds blowing out to left field in Philadelphia tonight.
