The Baltimore Ravens didn’t need a ton of help to take down the Tennessee Titans in Week 4, although things might’ve been even easier had QB Lamar Jackson been able to play the entire matchup. Unfortunately, the multi-time MVP suffered an ankle injury midway through Sunday’s outing.

Jackson didn’t return to the contest, instead being replaced by QB Tyler “Snoop” Huntley the rest of the way. Does the injury have a chance to linger as the Ravens now shift focus to Week 5 and beyond?

Let’s break down the latest Lamar Jackson injury update and weigh its potential impact on Ravens fantasy football picks and Week 5 projections for PrizePicks.

Lamar Jackson Injury Update: Will Jackson Play in Week 5?

Sadly, if you’re the Ravens or one of their fans, the answer to the question of Jackson’s status is tricky. Ian Rapoport of ESPN and NFL Network tweeted on Tuesday that it’s a sprained ankle for the superstar signal-caller, and one that gives him “only an outside chance” to play this weekend.

Not only that, but Jackson “could end up missing multiple games” depending on how his rehabilitation process goes.

In the first half of play against Tennessee, Jackson went 15-for-20 passing with 222 yards and a pair of TDs. He also had 2 carries for 20 yards, benefitting from the return of WR Zay Flowers (8 grabs for 118 yards and a TD) and the continued excellence of RB Derrick Henry (23 carries, 73 yards, 1 TD).

According to RBSDM, the advanced stats also reflect an outstanding first three games and change for Jackson. Through Week 4, he’s second to only San Francisco 49ers QB Brock Purdy in adjusted EPA per play (0.369 to 0.505) and success rate (54.7% to 61.9%). He’s been nothing short of brilliant in the early stages of the year.

The Ravens square off with the Atlanta Falcons on Sunday Night Football in Week 5, then travel to face the Cleveland Browns in a sneaky-important AFC North clash in Week 6. They then come back home to host the Cincinnati Bengals in another divisional game on October 25.

Ravens Fantasy Football Outlook & Tyler Huntley Breakdown If Jackson Sits vs. Falcons

If there’s an immediate silver lining in this scenario, it’s that Huntley completed 8 of 9 passes the rest of the way vs. the Titans and has been in this situation before.

The 28-year-old has appeared in 26 regular-season contests for the Ravens throughout his career, owning a 5-6 record in 11 starts while throwing for 2,446 yards, 10 TDs and 7 INTs. He owns a respectable 83.5 passer rating as a Raven, but last season saw him play some of his best football to date.

Huntley attempted 62 passes in five games across the 2025 campaign, completing a whopping 52 of them while racking up 426 yards and a pair of scores. He also toted the ball 24 times for 151 yards on the ground. Baltimore went 3-2 in the games he played, so there’s proof of concept that he can be just good enough to help prevent a Jackson-less disaster.

Fifty-two QBs logged at least 75 plays in 2025-26. Huntley’s 52.6% success rate ranked sixth in the field, and his 0.202 EPA/play figure sat seventh. Ahead of Week 5, he carries a projection of 173.5 Pass Yards on PrizePicks.

Henry seems like the natural recipient of volume for any amount of time Jackson misses. Per nfelo, Baltimore owns the league’s seventh-lowest pass rate over expected at -5.9%. The ageless wonder continues to defy the odds and turn in productive performances, evidenced by a 55.1% rush success rate (2025’s was 53.1%) and an average of 22.3 attempts per broken tackle (23.6 a year ago).

Flowers, who returned from a hamstring injury last week, currently owns the fourth-highest target share among all WRs at 30.14% (SumerSports). Whenever Huntley potentially throws, or even if Jackson makes a miraculous recovery, the veteran wideout figures to be the top option.

For Sunday Night Football, Baltimore is a 2.5-point underdog on PrizePicks but returns a 2.12x payout if it can find a way to win. As expected, Jackson being available would have a tremendous impact on those numbers shifting.

Winner Spread Over/Under
BAL Ravens 2.12x +2.5 | 1.96x o43.5 | 1.81x
ATL Falcons 1.61x -2.5 | 1.75x u43.5 | 1.88x
