In Week 9, the New York Giants (4-2-1) will hit the road to take on the Philadelphia Eagles (2-6) at 1:00 p.m. ET on Sunday, November 8. The Giants come in as 3.5-point road favorites, and they would return a 1.53x payout if they win outright, per PrizePicks.

The Giants are fresh off their bye week, which could potentially give them an even bigger advantage against a wounded Eagles team that’s lost six straight games and continues to deal with numerous injuries. The big news out of Philadelphia is that it will mix things up and turn to QB Joe Milton in an effort to spark the scuffling offense.

Below, we’ll break down our Giants vs. Eagles prediction and picks for NFL Week 9, including the spread, over/under, and top player picks for PrizePicks.

When we last saw the Giants in Week 7, they defeated the Houston Texans on the road in overtime, 27-21. It was QB J.J. McCarthy’s first start for his new team, and he had a solid day at the office, completing 20 of 28 passes for 252 yards. The team rushed for 188 yards and 4 TDs, with RB Cam Skattebo leading the way with 17 carries for 124 yards and a score.

In all, it was a promising outing for a team already on its third QB this season.

It remains to be seen whether McCarthy will be a plus signal-caller going forward, but it doesn’t hurt that he has WR Malik Nabers at his disposal, who’s eclipsed 100 receiving yards in four straight games, regardless of who’s at quarterback.

Despite coming out of their bye, the Giants are thin at running back. RB Tyrone Tracy was placed on IR last week, while Skattebo is doubtful with a hamstring injury. That could leave RB Devin Singletary as the lead back against Philadelphia.

Defensively, New York is league average in PPG (23.0), but it's just 21st in defensive DVOA, per FTN. Getting pressure on opposing QBs has been an issue, as this unit is tied for the league’s fewest sacks (9).

That could be good news for the Eagles and new starting QB Joe Milton.

Milton is replacing QB Tanner McKee, who threw just 2 TDs across three starts while averaging 212.7 passing YPG and 5.6 YPA. Given McKee’s lackluster play, Milton could be an upgrade by default, but expectations remain low for an offense that’s averaged the third-fewest PPG (17.1) and fewest YPG (265.3).

Milton will also be light on weapons, as both WR DeVonta Smith and WR Dontayvio Wicks remain sidelined. RB Saquon Barkley continues to play through hamstring and back issues, though, and he figures to be the focal point of this attack whenever he’s on the field.

Unfortunately for Philadelphia, the defense hasn’t been a strength, either, coming in ranked 23rd in DVOA while coughing up the sixth-most YPG (367.3).

In last week’s loss to the Washington Commanders, the unit did hold the Washington Commanders to just 19 points until a late TD in the fourth quarter completely put the game out of reach. They might need a similar performance to have a shot at the upset against the Giants.

Giants vs. Eagles Prediction on Spread for NFL Week 9 – 11/8/26

Here are the key stats and trends behind our Giants vs. Eagles prediction on the spread for Sunday, November 8.

  • McCarthy has averaged 0.196 adjusted EPA/play over roughly one-and-a-quarter games, which would crack the top 10 among qualified QBs, per RBSDM. In the Giants’ Week 7 win over the Texans, the offense produced a whopping 0.250 EPA/play.
  • With New York coming out of its bye week, not only did it have an extra week to plan for this matchup, but it’s also given McCarthy more time to familiarize himself with the playbook.
  • This season, Philadelphia’s offense is 29th in EPA/play (-0.096), 30th in success rate (37.7%), and 31st in DVOA. Particularly with the group still dealing with several key injuries, Milton could be up against it to improve this attack.
  • Barkley can still have an impact when he’s in the game, but his snaps have been limited due to his ongoing injuries. Per PlayerProfiler, he played just 32.4% of the snaps in Week 8, but that was still his highest share since Week 3.
  • Philadelphia’s defense ranks 29th in EPA/play allowed (0.094). It's particularly struggled to stop the run, sitting 31st in rush RPA/play (0.009) and 28th in rush success rate (43.1%).
  • Similar to the Giants, the Eagles have had a difficult time getting to the quarterback, coming in with the second-fewest sacks (10) despite not having their bye yet.
  • The Eagles are 1-7 against the spread this season, whereas the Giants are 5-2.

Giants vs. Eagles Picks, Player Stats for PrizePicks: 11/8/26

Here are the top Giants vs. Eagles picks to target on Sunday, November 8. Today’s NFL picks for PrizePicks include Malik Nabers and Makai Lemon.

Giants WR Malik Nabers vs. Eagles: 71.5 Receiving Yards

  • According to SumerSports, Nabers boasts a 30.0% target share this season. Over the last four games, he’s racked up 112, 121, 165, and 111 receiving yards.
  • Nabers has seen a route participation rate above 90% in three of those past four games. He’s averaged 3.07 yards per route run over that span, per PFF.
  • According to Pro Football Reference, the Eagles allow the third-most receiving YPG (183.8) to WRs.
  • McCarthy could be working with a clean pocket against a team that hasn’t generated many sacks. Philadelphia has produced the fourth-worst pressure rate (30.2%), per Sharp Football Analysis, and they’re 31st in ESPN’s pass rush win rate (43%).
Add Malik Nabers + Giants to cover the spread to your PrizePicks lineup now.

Eagles WR Makai Lemon vs. Giants: 39.5 Receiving Yards

  • Both Smith and Wicks are still out for Philadelphia, so Lemon could continue to see an increased role. In the last two games with both players inactive, Lemon has tallied 67 and 57 receiving yards.
  • According to JJ Zachariason, the rookie led the Eagles in route share (95%) and target share (28%) in Week 8.
  • Lemon averaged just 0.97 yards per route run from Weeks 1 to 6. He’s averaged 1.61 over the past two weeks.
  • New York has produced the NFL’s second-worst pressure rate (28.9%), which may help Milton get ample time to connect with Lemon.
  • The Eagles have been eighth in pass rate over expected (+3.3) in the three games McKee started. Particularly with Barkley still dinged up, it’s possible they continue to lean toward the pass with Milton under center.
Add Makai Lemon + Eagles to win to your PrizePicks lineup now.
