The New York Giants are changing quarterbacks. Again.
On Sunday, veteran QB Russell Wilson will be replaced by the G-Men's 2025 No. 25 overall pick, Jaxson Dart. The Giants are tossing the Ole Miss product into the deep end for his first NFL start, as he'll be staring down piping hot QB Justin Herbert, his 3-0 Los Angeles Chargers, and their tenacious third-ranked D.
Dart looks to bring new life to a Giants offense that failed to do any damage against the Kansas City Chiefs on Sunday Night Football in Week 3, sleepwalking through a 22-9 loss. Now HC Brian Daboll tries to usher in a new era of Giants football.
We'll give you our Chargers vs. Giants prediction and NFL picks for Week 4 below, including Dart and Herbert player picks.

Chargers vs. Giants Prediction, Preview for NFL Week 4
Week 4 could provide the Giants with their most difficult matchup yet. The Chargers, who have beaten the Chiefs, Las Vegas Raiders, and Denver Broncos, are showing growth each week — there's no significant NFL film on Dart, so that might present a challenge for their feisty defense.
Los Angeles Chargers Preview
Herbert and his crew have put up 20+ points in each of the team’s first three wins, putting himself squarely in the MVP conversation. While it’s still early, the 27-year-old QB continues to build on his 2024 3,870 passing-yard season.
New York Giants Preview
Dart had to sit on the sidelines and watch Wilson’s disappointing Sunday Night Football performance, a stinker that played a not insignificant role in the Giants' first 0-3 start since 2021.
New York’s backfield is a work in progress, as Cam Skattebo takes over RB1 duties due to Tyrone Tracy Jr.’s shoulder injury.
Here are the three Chargers vs. Giants picks to key in for NFL DFS on PrizePicks. Just pick More or Less on player stats — like the picks below — to win real money on PrizePicks on every game of the NFL season.
Chargers QB Justin Herbert Projection: 256.5 Passing Yards
- So far this season, Herbert has tossed for 318, 242, and 300 yards. Dating back to the end of last year, he’s chucked for more than 256 yards in five of his last six regular-season games.
- New York held Commanders QB Jayden Daniels to 233 yards and Chiefs signal caller Patrick Mahomes to just 224. But here in Week 4, the Giants are stuck facing Herbert, who has the second most air yards (1,015) this season, only behind — and here's an ironic one — Russell Wilson (1,032).
- Herbert has only played the Giants once in his career: On December 12, 2021, he went 23/31 for 275 yards against the Jints.
Giants QB Jaxson Dart Projection: 188.5 Passing Yards
- Through their first three games, the Chargers have held two QBs to 180 or fewer passing yards. Raiders QB Geno Smith and Broncos QB Bo Nix couldn’t figure out this Bolts D.
- Heading into Week 4, the Chargers rank fourth in the league with -0.106 EPA/play.
- The 22-year-old had three quality seasons at Ole Miss, where his key stats increased every year. He capped it off with a senior year in which he threw for 4,279 yards, averaging 10.8 yards per completion.
Giants RB Cam Skattebo Projection: 55.5 Rushing Yards
- Despite entering the season as New York's RB2, the rookie has both of the team’s rushing touchdowns.
- He found paydirt in back-to-back weeks, and racked up 11 carries for 45 yards against the Cowboys in Week 2.
- Facing the Chiefs last Sunday evening, he was one of New York's lone bright spots, compiling 60 yards on 10 carries.
- Rookie RB Ashton Jeanty and his Raiders are the only team to not have a player with more than 55 rushing yards against the Chargers this season. Last week, Broncos’ JK Dobbins dropped 83 yards on L.A.
- Daboll might lean on the run game to make Dart’s debut a tad more manageable. He’s already seen a rise in his snap count: 59% in Week 3 as compared to just 12% in Week 1.
