Buy Low, Sell High Fantasy Football Week 9: Buy Dalton Kincaid, Sell Breece Hall

Week 9 marks the conclusion of the first half of the NFL regular season. If you’re a fantasy football player, that midway point has already passed, and the playoffs are only a handful of weeks away.

Whether you’re fighting for your playoff life or are comfortably ready for the postseason, finding ways to improve your roster remains important.

Below, we’ll list three players you may want to consider acquiring for your fantasy team and three you might want to trade away. The latter group may have reached its peak for 2025 — including Raiders star rookie RB Ashton Jeanty.

We'll also break down these players' stat projections for Week 9 on PrizePicks, where you can pick More or Less on those projections to win real money if you're right.

Buy Low Fantasy Football Targets: Week 9

Here are some key buy-low players whom you should consider trading for in Week 9, as well as their projections on PrizePicks' NFL game this week.

Browns TE Harold Fannin Jr.

It feels like because Harold Fannin Jr. is on the Browns, who have a 2-6 record and are 30th in points per game (15.8), that he isn't getting talked about enough. He certainly needs to because with QB Dillion Gabriel, he’s been a fantasy value.

Fannin has had top-15 finishes five times this season but last week, he posted his best as TE3.

Gabriel has been leaning on his rookie TE. Fannin led the team with 23 targets, 17 catches, and 179 yards over the last three games. There’s optimism for the rest of the season, too, with the ninth-easiest schedule.

The Browns are on a bye this week. Whoever you trade with should already have their replacement, perhaps making them more likely to let Fannin go.

Bills TE Dalton Kincaid

The buzz surrounding Dalton Kincaid has cooled down over the last few weeks. The Bills were on a bye in Week 6, then Kincaid missed Week 7 with an oblique injury and in Week 8, he finished as TE34.

From Weeks 1-5, however, Kincaid was TE2. He has the potential to get back to that point.

Kincaid can make big plays; his 14.8 yards per reception and 6 catches of 20+ yards rank second among TEs. His seventh-easiest strength of schedule could help him regain a connection with QB Josh Allen.

  • 36.5 Receiving Yards
  • 2.5 Receptions
  • 17.5 Longest Reception
  • 0.5 Rush+Rec TDs (Demon)

Giants WR Wan’Dale Robinson

The Giants suffered another big hit on offense when breakthrough rookie RB Cam Skattebo suffered a devastating ankle injury that ended his season.

Managers will be going after RB Tyrone Tracy, but if you don't need a running back, you can get another Giant who could also benefit from a change in workload. Skattebo's absence could cause QB Jaxson Dart to favor the pass, with WR Wan'Dale Robinson being his primary receiver.

Robinson is the only pass catcher on the team with at least 5 catches in three of the past four games. The former Kentucky man is showing to be one of the more explosive receivers in the league. He’s seventh in yards of separation vs. man coverage (1.8), seventh in yards after the catch (203), and sixth in juke rate (13.9%).

Fantasy Football Sell High: Players Week 9

Here are some key players to sell high on for fantasy football after overachieving, plus their projections on PrizePicks' real-money NFL DFS game this week.

Jets RB Breece Hall

The Jets got their first win in Week 8, and Breece Hall had his first finish inside the top 10. On the flip side, those are two things that might rarely happen again for the remainder of the season.

Hall had his best game with a season-high 147 yards from scrimmage and found the end zone for the first time this year with 2 TDs. This was a highly favorable matchup, as he went against a Bengals defense that allows the most fantasy points per game to RBs (28.2) and the second-most TDs this season (12).

An injury to RB Braelon Allen didn’t give Hall more opportunities — it merely allowed RB Isaiah Davis to get more snaps. Hall hasn’t done much; he ranks 45th among RBs in fantasy points per opportunity.

This is a great chance to sell off a big name for a nice return.

Raiders RB Ashton Jeanty

Jeanty is another RB drafted early who hasn't delivered great returns. The Raiders have been a disaster this season and in Week 7, they hit rock bottom by losing 31-0 to the Chiefs.

The offensive line has been horrendous, with a 55.8 Pro Football Focus run-blocking grade that ranks 25th. This has hurt Jeanty’s production — his 3.3 yards created per touch ranks 27th.

Being a RB on a bad team impacts output because when the offense is playing from behind, it tends to abandon the run. That's what’s happening in Las Vegas, as Jeanty is losing a potential 5.8 fantasy points due to the game script.

  • 66.5 Rush Yards
  • 0.5 Rush+Rec TDs (Demon)
  • 3.5 Yards on First Rush

Bears RB D’Andre Swift

Last week, we identified a trend with D'Andre Swift that suggested he would regress in Week 8 after a strong Week 7. After a bye, he has a history of performing well, but the following game is usually a disappointment.

Coming off the bye, Swift had 138 yards from scrimmage with a TD. In Week 8, he had just 51 yards with a TD that was his saving grace. He finished as RB15 with the TD instead of RB28 without it.

The biggest takeaway from the Week 8 loss to the Ravens was that this became a split backfield. We’ve seen rookie RB Kyle Monangai recently get an increase in snaps. Week 8 was the closest to a split backfield, with Swift only playing two more snaps than Monangai.

As the season wraps up, players must finish strong. That’s another concern, because Swift has a history of struggling down the stretch.

From Weeks 9-18, here is where Swift has finished in recent years:

  • 2024: RB21
  • 2023: RB34
  • 2022: RB10
  • 2021: RB44
  • 2020: RB17

You could maybe still get solid value on Swift due to his recent finishes, but do it before the drop-off.
