The Browns and Steeler each sit at 5-2, and the victor of Sunday’s game will have sole possession of first place in the AFC North. That’s especially important with the Bengals heating up on a two-game winning streak, while Ravens QB Lamar Jackson is returning from injury this week.
According to PrizePicks, the Bengals (2.08x) and Ravens (3.84x) remain the favorites to win the AFC North, followed by the Steelers (4.34x) and Browns (6.25x). A win for Cleveland could cause a dramatic shift to the divisional favorites.
The Browns had their way in Week 4, defeating the Steelers 27-24 on Thursday Night Football. But there’s a lot of doubt around Cleveland with its strength of schedule ranking 24th so far, per ESPN.
Its last three games featured a 17-12 loss vs. the Jets (2-5), a 13-10 win vs. a Ravens (4-3) team without Lamar Jackson, and a 27-24 win over the Titans (1-6). The same can be said for the Steelers, though.
Pittsburgh comes off three consecutive wins vs. the Saints, Buccaneers, and Colts, and all three of those squads are 2-5, contributing to the Steelers' 22nd-ranked strength of schedule.
But between the two, Pittsburgh’s 30-27 win over the Bengals is the most impressive feat. That, paired with a home advantage, likely places the Steelers in the favored role.
On the injury front, Browns starting RT Tytus Howard (concussion) is questionable and didn’t practice this week. The Steelers’ receiving unit is still thin with WRs Michael Pittman Jr. and Roman Wilson on injured reserve, and WR Ben Skowronek (calf) is questionable for Sunday.
However, Browns starting nickelback Myles Harden (hamstring) is also questionable, and that may benefit the emerging Steelers rookie WR Germie Bernard, who has a 45.6% slot snap rate, per PlayerProfiler.

Browns vs. Steelers Prediction on Spread for NFL Week 8 – 11/1/26
The over/under sits at only 39.5, pointing to a classic, ugly, defensive game in the AFC North. However, the two combined for 51 points in Thursday Night Football’s clash on October 1.
Pittsburgh usually leans on the pass with a 64.21% pass play rate (second), but it averages 4.6 yards per carry (eighth) with a 41.9% rush success rate (12th), per RBSDM. The Steelers attempted 19 carries compared to 40 passing attempts vs. the Browns on October 1, but they were successful with 4.8 YPC on the ground.
Pittsburgh’s began to lean on the run more often, including 30 rushing attempts and 30 passing attempts a week ago. This is fueled by RB Jaylen Warren averaging an elite 5.5 yards per carry.
The Browns give up 4.4 YPC (22nd) and a 41.4% rush success rate (21st). If the Steelers’ run game is rolling, that could slow down the game, meaning less possessions — unlike what we saw in the previous head-to-head matchup.
Cleveland, meanwhile, lacks efficiency across the board with 4.1 YPC (19th) and 7.0 yards per passing attempt (17th). QB Deshaun Watson was playing well entering the last matchup, throwing for 268 passing yards in the 27-24 win over the Steelers.
However, Watson has a 41.5% success rate (26th) and -0.051 adjusted EPA per play (31st) since Week 5. According to ESPN, the Browns have a low 45% pass block win rate (26th), and that may only get worse if starting RT Tytus Howard is out. The Steelers have a 7.00% sack rate on defense (14th).
Adding to Cleveland’s challenges on the road, it is 16th in turnover margin (0.0), while Pittsburgh has a +0.6 margin (fifth).

Browns vs. Steelers Picks, Player Stats for PrizePicks: 11/1/26
Here are the top Browns vs. Steelers picks to target on Sunday, November 1. Today’s NFL picks for PrizePicks include WR KC Concepcion and RB Jaylen Warren.
Browns WR KC Concepcion vs. Steelers: 45.5 Receiving Yards
- KC Concepcion comes off a breakout performance with 8 catches, 129 receiving yards, and 23 rushing yards in Week 7.
- Since Week 3, Concepcion has received 9, 8, 1, 6, and 10 targets. He leads Cleveland with a 21.6% target share, per FTN.
- Over the rookie’s last two, his target share increased to 26.7%, and Concepcion has been enjoying more downfield work with a 10.3 average depth of target (aDOT) since Week 6, compared to 6.1 over his first five.
- Concepcion is averaging 5.7 yards after the catch per reception, via Pro Football Focus. That could be especially key if the Browns’ pass protection struggles, meaning Concepcion could be a quick outlet with yards after the catch.
Add KC Concepcion to your PrizePicks lineup.
Steelers RB Jaylen Warren vs. Browns: 92.5 Rush + Receiving Yards
- Jaylen Warren is quietly one of the league’s best running backs right now, boasting absurd numbers like 3.68 yards after contact per carry (sixth) and 14.8 yards after the catch per reception (first).
- Additionally, FTN credits Warren with a 65.8% rush creation rate (sixth), 1.152 rushing yards over expectation per attempt (third), and 0.098 EPA per rushing attempt (fourth).
- The Browns allow 4.4 yards per carry (22nd) and a 14.7% explosive rate against the run (32nd). That explosive rate is worst in the league by a wide margin, with the Raiders’ 12.6% ranked 31st.
- Warren is regularly used in the passing game with a 14.2% target share, totaling 4.7 targets and 42.0 receiving yards per contest.
- On October 1, Warren racked up 93 rushing yards, 5.5 YPC, 33 receiving yards, and 11.0 receiving yards per catch vs. the Browns.
- After surpassing this projection in four of his last five, another big day could be ahead for Warren.
