Jacksonville Jaguars RB Bhaysul Tuten is dealing with ankle and foot injuries he sustained during last week’s 42-7 victory vs. the visiting Indianapolis Colts.

The second-year pro returned to the game. However, now his status is up in the air for Thursday Night Football at the Baltimore Ravens. Will Tuten be able to play, or do the Jaguars have to turn elsewhere in the backfield?

Tuten has taken the bulk of the carries for the highly ranked Jaguars’ offense. Jacksonville is squaring off against a banged-up Baltimore offense that’ll start third-string QB Joe Fagnano due to injuries to Lamar Jackson and Tyler Huntley.

Below, we’ll break down the latest Bhaysul Tuten injury update and how his injury affects fantasy football and Jaguars vs. Ravens picks for PrizePicks.

Bhaysul Tuten Injury Update: Will Tuten Play on Thursday Night Football vs. Ravens?

Tuten briefly left during the Jaguars’ victory vs. the Colts before returning to battle through the ankle/foot injury. Tuten gutted it out to finish with 159 total yards and 2 TDs from scrimmage for his best game of the season.

He didn’t practice on Monday, Tuesday, or Wednesday. Currently, Tuten is listed as questionable, so he’ll be a game-time decision for Thursday Night Football at the Ravens.

During his Wednesday press conference, Jaguars head coach Liam Cohen expressed optimism without providing any guarantee of Tuten playing.

“I talked to him today; he said he feels better,” Coen said. “I would think it’s probably going to go up to game time.”

However, history appears to be on the side of Tuten sitting out. According to Jaguars OnSI’s John Shipley, the last 27 instances of a player not practicing during game week resulted in them not playing.

Below, we’ll dive into the impact of whether Tuten plays or not on Thursday Night Football. Plus, what it means for fantasy football and Jaguars vs. Ravens picks for Prizepicks in Week 9.

Jaguars Fantasy Football Outlook If Bhaysul Tuten Is Out for Thursday Night Football

Tuten is currently questionable with ankle and foot injuries for the Jaguars’ road game at the Ravens on Thursday night. Tuten is a major factor for the Jaguars ranking fifth in points per game (28.0).

The dynamic 5-foot-9, 209-pound Tuten has tallied 492 yards and 3 TDs on the ground while also catching 15 receptions for 181 yards and 3 TDs. Tuten had a season-best 104 rushing yards, including a 39-yard run, in the blowout victory vs. the Colts.

If Tuten is out, the Jaguars will likely turn to backup RB Chris Rodriguez, who was formerly a starter with the Washington Commanders. Rodriguez has rushed for 209 yards and 3 TDs on 4.6 yards per carry. However, Rodriguez doesn’t have the same receiving impact as Tuten, with just 2 receptions.

Regardless of who’s starting at running back, the Jaguars could still be successful on the ground.

The Ravens have allowed a touchdown from a running back in their last three games. Also, depending on the effectiveness of Ravens QB Joe Fagnano, the Jaguars could have an excellent field position to generate scoring chances for either running back.

Despite the ankle and foot injuries, Tuten is coming off his best game of the season. He’ll be a game-time decision to play against the host Ravens on Thursday Night Football. If he’s active, Tuten could have another strong showing based on the recent play of Baltimore’s rushing defense.
