2025 Bills Fantasy Football Preview: Josh Allen Eyes MVP Repeat, Super Bowl

What might fantasy football players see from Bills QB Josh Allen in 2025?

Let’s go live to Buffalo, New York, where our PrizePicks reporter tracked down a high-ranking member of the Buffalo Bills Mafia to discuss both the team's upcoming 2025 season and fantasy football outlook:

Are the Buffalo Bills Fantasy Football Targets?

PrizePicks Reporter: Sir, any thoughts on fantasy football potential for Buffalo’s skill players?

High-Ranking Buffalo Bills Mafia Person: Dude, Josh Allen will finish the year as the NFL’s QB1! And James Cook will finish the year as the NFL’s RB1! And Khalil Shakir is about to breakout! I’m so confident about the whole thing that I’m gonna use a whole lot of Buffalo Bills in my PrizePicks Lineups for the 2025 NFL season!

PPR: Speaking of the 2025 NFL season, how do you see the Bills’ campaign playing out?

HRBBMP: Well, last year we were eliminated in the AFC Championship by the Kansas City Chiefs.

PPR: I recall.

HRBBMP: And the year before, we were eliminated in the Divisional Round by the Chiefs.

PPR: That you were.

HRBBMP: And in the two seasons before that, we were also knocked out in the Divisional Round, and the previous year, the Chiefs whacked us again. Oh, and in the 1990s, we lost four Super Bowls in a…

PPR: Tough memories, I know.

HRBBMP: Tough memories. But 2025 is the year! I know I say that every summer… but this time, I believe it!

PPR: And what say you about PrizePicks' role in this?

HRBBMP: I say, use this Bills fantasy football analysis to make your NFLSZN predictions on PrizePicks fantasy football game, where you can pick More or Less on player season-long stats.

PPR: Bills Nation, as optimistic and insightful as ever. Back to you in the studio.

Buffalo fans, bless ‘em, are among the most rabid in the NFL, so you have to take their fantasy football prognostications with several thousand grains of salt. But heading into the 2025 campaign, their fake gridiron excitement might just be justified.

We know that numbers-wise, quarterback and reigning MVP Josh Allen is going to be his usual bestial self — as of this writing, Allen is neck and neck with Lamar Jackson at the top of fantasy football QB rankings — but there are some other intriguing fantasy football options in Buffalo who should be available in your draft’s later rounds.

Some of those Bills players will crush, and some won’t, and some will elicit a big, fat who the heck knows. Let's dive into it.

All average Draft Position (ADP) data via FantasyPros, Aug. 19, 2025.

Target: WR Elijah Moore

2025 ADP: 344 (WR106)

We’ll stipulate that Josh Allen will be among the league’s fantasy deities, so no need to give him his own target capsule. Elijah Moore, however, very much merits some discussion.

Folks seem to have forgotten that in his 2021 rookie season with the New York Jets, the Ole Miss product was stellar, hauling in 43 catches for 538 yards and 5 touchdowns in just 11 games. His catch percentage was a respectable 55.8%, while his 12.5 yards-per-catch average was a career-best.

And he was catching balls from bust-centric signal caller Zach Wilson!

Moore has the hands, the speed, and now the quarterback to thrive. With Bills WR1 Khalil Shakir week-to-week with a sprained ankle — and balky ankles have been known to linger — Moore could climb the depth chart, all of which makes him worthy of a mid-to-late-round pick in 12-man leagues, and a late-round dart-throw in 10-mans.

(Note: Moore's place on Buffalo's roster or depth chart isn't guaranteed, but if he sticks, watch the waiver wire. Hard.)

Avoid: WR Khalil Shakir

2025 ADP: 93 (WR42)

Much to our Bills Mafia Person’s chagrin, Shakir is probably overvalued, even at WR44, which puts him ahead of 2024 fantasy darling San Francisco 49ers Jauan Jennings (WR45) and Green Bay Packers (probable) rookie sensation, Matthew Golden (WR46).

Shakir’s aforementioned injury might be an issue moving forward — as noted, high ankle sprains can hang around, like, forever — so if you want to get a piece of the Bills passing game, consider Moore, or Keon Coleman, or…

Target: TE Dalton Kincaid

Dalton Kincaid Fantasy Football Predictions 2025

2025 ADP: 130 (TE14)

As of this writing, Kincaid is listed as TE15, ahead of such bigger names as Kyle Pitts Sr. and Zach Ertz, and there’s a reason for that: The Bills don’t have a true WR1 — they haven’t since the bygone days of Stefon Diggs, really — and Allen will lean on his sure-handed 25-year-old just as he did last season, when Kincaid finished second on the team in targets with 75, all while missing four games with multiple knee injuries.

If you’re in a 12- or 14-man league and you land Kincaid, consider grabbing his perky backup Dalton Knox as a handcuff.

Dalton Kincaid Fantasy Football Projections

  • 60.5 Receptions
  • 599.5 Receiving Yards
  • 3.5 Rec TDs

Avoid: RB James Cook

James Cook Fantasy Football Predictions 2025

2025 ADP: 31 (RB13)

The former Georgia Bulldog had a fantastic 2024, topping 1,000 rushing yards for his second straight year and punching in 16 touchdowns, tying him for the NFL lead.

And that's all fine and good, but the 1,000-yard number is a scootch deceiving, as he topped it by just 9. If he can't match his 16 TDs — and that's a helluva lot of TDs, so regression could well be a thing — he's far from a top-ten back.

James Cook Fantasy Football Projections

  • 949.5 Rush Yards
  • 9.5 Rush TDs
  • 2.5 100+ Rush Yards

Question Mark: WR Keon Coleman

Keon Coleman Fantasy Football Predictions 2025

2025 ADP: 121 (WR50)

It could be argued that outside of Kincaid, Allen’s entire receiving corps is a question. Yeah, the newly-minted Mr. Hailee Steinfeld has pass-catchers all over the field, but in terms of the wide receiver position itself, who knows?

Allen’s receiving BFF could be Shakir, Moore, Josh Palmer, or even Curtis Samuel, but Coleman is listed on the depth chart as WR2, so in theory, he’ll see a decent chunk of targets…but just how chunky?

The sophomore is appealing as a downfield threat, and could help in leagues that offer bonus points for 40-plus yard receptions. But he probably won’t evolve into a super-highly-targeted option, so proceed with caution.

Keon Coleman Fantasy Football Projections

  • 43.5 Receptions
  • 749.5 Receiving Yards
  • 4.5 Receiving TDs
