Arizona State WR Jordyn Tyson has been perhaps the hottest name in 2026 NFL Draft circles this week. Ahead of tonight’s first round beginning at 8:00 p.m. ET, Tyson has remained in the spotlight.

ESPN’s Jeremy Fowler reported the New York Giants are “very high” on Tyson and could prioritize the receiver prospect with the No. 5 pick on Wednesday evening. Since the news broke, Tyson has surged past Ohio State WR Carnell Tate as the favorite to be the first wide receiver selected in the 2026 NFL Draft.

Will Tyson be the first wide receiver off the board? Let’s break it down, featuring 2026 NFL Draft projections from PrizePicks Team Picks.

Is Jordyn Tyson WR1 in the 2026 NFL Draft?

Tyson being linked to the Giants is nothing new. After New York traded DT Dexter Lawrence to the Cincinnati Bengals for the No. 10 pick in the 2026 NFL Draft, the franchise was immediately linked to the Arizona State product.

Following a shaky 2025 season with decreased production and injuries, Tyson answered health concerns with a stellar private workout on Friday, April 17.

The Giants were one of 20 teams in attendance for his workout. Initially, New York’s No. 10 pick was circled as a potential landing spot for Tyson. Fowler’s report around the fifth pick has flipped 2026 NFL Draft projections on PrizePicks Team Picks.

As of this writing, Tyson is the slight favorite to be the first wide receiver selected in the 2026 NFL Draft with a 1.85x payout, followed by Tate’s 1.92x payout for “Yes” to be the first receiver drafted.

Note: All PrizePicks Team Picks payout multipliers are live as of writing and are subject to change.

The numbers above — like 4x — represent payout multipliers if your NFL Draft predictions are right on PrizePicks Team Picks (available in 35 states); a 4x multiplier on $100 pays out $400 if you’re correct. Additionally, lower payout multipliers means a lower implied probability based on user picks.
