The Seattle Seahawks are reigning Super Bowl champions, winning the franchise’s second Lombardi Trophy in head coach Mike Macdonald’s second season. While the vibes are high in Seattle, not everything on this roster is ironed out heading into the 2026 season.
RB Kenneth Walker III was a major offseason departure, as he joined the Chiefs as a free agent. The Seahawks attempted to land a direct replacement in RB Jadarian Price, who was selected with the 32nd overall pick in the 2026 NFL Draft.

Jadarian Price 2026 Fantasy Football Projections
As second fiddle to Cardinals RB Jeremiyah Love, who was the third pick in the 2026 NFL Draft, Price didn’t post the most gaudy numbers at Notre Dame. In fact, he never reached 1,000 rushing yards in a single season, totaling 746 and 674 rushing yards over his final two collegiate seasons.
However, Price did more than enough to showcase his potential by providing top-tier efficiency.
Over 280 career rushing attempts, he logged 6.0 yards per carry. Pro Football Focus credited Price with several strong advanced stats, including 3.92 yards after contact per carry, 32 forced missed tackles, and 24 explosive runs (10+ yards).
The former Fighting Irish halfback went on to post a 4.49-second 40-yard dash, a 1.61-second 10-yard split, and a 10’4” broad jump at the NFL Combine. Lance Zierlein of NFL.com highlighted his vision, patience, and ability as a true ball carrier, further aiding his eventual first-round selection.
This is where his potential role comes into play. As mentioned, Kenneth Walker III is now a Chief. When the Seahawks had a healthy backfield the last few seasons, Walker was primarily the early-down back, while RB Zach Charbonnet usually filled the third-down role.
Price feels like the perfect candidate to fill Walker’s early-down role, likely meaning a high-volume role on the ground could be ahead. That helps explain his 57th overall and RB24 average draft position (ADP) for PPR leagues, per FantasyPros.

Jadarian Price Projection: 725.5 Rush Yards
After holding an RB2 role at Notre Dame, Price didn’t take any preseason snaps. Frankly, Price isn’t generating the most buzz you’ll ever see, but that doesn’t eliminate his true sleeper potential.
Drawing praise throughout training camp has eased worries, including All-Pro WR Jaxon Smith-Njigba stating, “We rely on the run game a lot. So, he’s gonna be incredible. I’m looking forward to it. He’s gonna be a big piece of this offense, especially early.”
That “early” tidbit is particularly important, as Zach Charbonnet tore his ACL in January and is on the PUP list — meaning he will miss at least the first four games of 2026. That should open up even more work for Price, though RB George Holani is expected to take third-down work and short-yardage situations.
Losing receptions and TDs to Holani would be a major blow to Price’s fantasy upside. That’s in line with Walker’s 2025 role, which included 1,027 rushing yards, 5 TDs, and 191.9 fantasy points (RB22).
Andrew Destin of The Athletic also reported Price will likely get the early-down work. As the early-down workhorse, Walker posted 13.0 rushing attempts per game in 2025, and one could argue Price may enjoy even more work until Charbonnet returns from injury.
After the Seahawks posted a 49.7% rush-play rate last season (third highest), Price could stack rushing yards in the early going, aiding his chance to surpass his 725.5 rush yards projection for the 2026 campaign.
Jadarian Price Projection: 6 Rush TDs
Destin’s report of Holani taking short-yardage and goal-line situations is alarming for Price’s NFLSZN projections. However, his 6 rush TDs isn’t a lofty number.
The Seahawks had plenty of touchdowns to go around a year ago, as Walker (5) and Charbonnet (12) combined for 17 rushing TDs. Furthermore, Seattle posted 29.2 PPG (second most), 5.8 yards per play (sixth most), and boasted a 46.6% success rate, via RBSDM.
ESPN also gave Seattle a 73% run block win rate that finished eighth. That certainly aided the Seahawks’ solid 1.2 rushing TDs per contest (eighth most).
In addition to a solid scoring environment, it’s reasonable to question Holani dominating goal-line touches. He’s 5’11”, 210 pounds compared to Price at 5’11”, 209 pounds. There is quite literally a 1-pound difference, suggesting neither back could offer a major difference to punch it into the end zone.
Most importantly, Price logged 11 rushing TDs for Notre Dame last season. Scouting reports even circled his ability to find the end zone, including Lance Zierlein writing, “Tempo-driven back with smooth hips, elite vision, and a nose for the end zone.”
That sounds like a reliable RB who can win goal-line situations. Perhaps Price can still find the end zone plenty. Whoever is running the best on any given day could become the tailback receiving the most meaningful attempts.
