Sun vs. Wings Prediction, Spread, Over/Under – Sunday, August 2

Dallas is still sitting in a favorable spot for the playoffs as the sixth seed heading into Sunday’s action. However, the Wings are looking to avoid their first three-game losing streak of 2026.

The one loss that will sting for a bit came on Wednesday to Atlanta in an 82-81 defeat. The Wings led by 15 points, including a 6-point edge with 45 seconds left. Atlanta outscored Dallas, 9-2, in the final 45 seconds to beat the Wings for the third time this season.

In Friday’s 81-75 setback at Washington, the Wings were held to 40.0% shooting from the floor and held their only advantage at 6-4 less than two minutes in. Dallas began the campaign winning 10 of 12 games against the Eastern Conference before dropping the past three contests.

The Wings rallied from an 8-point deficit in the first matchup at Connecticut, 86-83, on July 2. Connecticut didn’t help itself from the line, missing 13 of 35 free throw attempts.

The Sun won consecutive games in mid-July against Portland and Phoenix, but Connecticut has lost four straight, all on the road.

To be fair, the defense has improved since yielding 123 points to Indiana before the All-Star break. The Sun gave up 92 points to Washington and 94 points to Chicago in the past two defeats, while squandering a 14-point advantage to the Sky.

Connecticut dealt second-year F Aneesah Morrow (11.6 PPG) to Toronto this week, while veteran C Britney Griner (14.1 PPG) is questionable with a knee injury.
