The Week 7 schedule isn’t pretty when it comes to viable fantasy football options at RB. The Bills are on a bye, meaning that James Cook III won’t be available. Some backs who are question marks because of injuries include Eagles RB Saquon Barkley (hamstring), Jets RB Breece Hall (quadriceps), and Cardinals RB Jeremiyah Love (ankle).
As we adjust to injuries and byes during Week 7, some halfbacks may be in positions to exploit favorable matchups. Others, however, could struggle against tough foes.
Below, let's list some NFL Week 7 Start 'Em, Sit 'Em candidates for the RB position, including picks to consider on PrizePicks for Aaron Jones Sr., Bucky Irving, and more. Keep this analysis in mind when making your Week 7 fantasy football decisions.

Start: Vikings RB Aaron Jones
Game: Colts vs. Vikings – Sunday, October 25, 1 p.m. ET
Aaron Jones PrizePicks Projections: 0.5 Anytime TDs (Goblin)
Aaron Jones was playing well prior to the Vikings’ bye in Week 6. He received at least 17 carries in each of the previous four games, posting three contests of 90+ rushing yards. According to PFF, he ranks 12th among 45 RBs in explosive runs with 8.
Although he only had a touchdown during that span, Jones totaled 12 receptions for 72 yards in the first three games.
The veteran’s hefty workload coincided with Vikings RB Jordan Mason (thumb) landing on IR. Mason might be back in the fold soon, though, considering that he was designated to return to practice on Monday. It’s still unclear if the team will clear him in time to face the Colts.
Even if Mason plays, it wouldn't be a surprise to see the Vikings ease him back into action. Jones has proven more than capable of handling a heavy workload.
This is also a great matchup for Jones, given that the Colts rank 31st in rush EPA/play allowed, according to RBSDM. He may at least approach 15 carries, leaving him with significant upside in a favorable matchup.
Add Aaron Jones + Vikings to win to your PrizePicks lineup now.
Start: Buccaneers RB Bucky Irving
Game: Buccaneers vs. Panthers – Sunday, October 25, 1 p.m. ET
Bucky Irving PrizePicks Projections: 66.5 Rush Yards, 15.5 Rush Attempts, 0.5 Anytime TDs (Demon)
The Buccaneers suffered a 26-19 loss at the hands of the Steelers last week. The game went to overtime, with Bucky Irving logging 19 rushing attempts along the way to the tune of 46 yards on the ground.
Despite a few lackluster stat lines, Irving has been elusive. He sits sixth among RBs in forced missed tackles (22). He showed his massive upside against the Cowboys in Week 5, rushing 21 times for 165 yards and 1 TD. In that outing, he received 7 red-zone carries.
Regardless of whether QB Baker Mayfield (thumb) or QB Jalon Daniels starts in Week 7 against the Panthers, it’s a good matchup for Irving to be productive.
Per RotoWire, the Panthers allow the most yards per carry to RBs (5.1) in the league. Their 6 rushing TDs surrendered to the position are tied for the third-most.
Add Bucky Irving + Bucs to cover the spread to your PrizePicks lineup now.
Sit: Saints RB Alvin Kamara
Game: Steelers vs. Saints – Sunday, October 25, 9:30 a.m. ET
Alvin Kamara PrizePicks Projections: 16.5 Rush Yards, 12.5 Rec Yards, 7 Fantasy Score
In a wild 34-27 win over the Giants on Sunday, Alvin Kamara recorded his first receiving TD of the season. He finished with 2 receptions for 35 yards and that score, as well as 34 rushing yards over 7 carries.
If you take away the score, though, Kamara’s stats weren’t encouraging. He only logged 19 offensive snaps, compared to 32 for fellow RB Kendre Miller. Miller finished with 20 rushing attempts for 70 yards. Although he didn’t score, he's combined for 8 red-zone carries over the last two games.
Kamara didn't receive a single red-zone rushing attempt during that span.
A lack of volume means it might take another TD for Kamara to be a viable fantasy option in Week 7. That’s discouraging for a matchup against the Steelers, who have allowed a total of 4 TDs to RBs.
Add Alvin Kamara + Saints to win to your PrizePicks lineup now.

Sit: Giants RB Cam Skattebo
Game: Giants vs. Texans – Sunday, October 25, 1 p.m. ET
Cam Skattebo fumbled in overtime against the Commanders in Week 5 with the Giants driving to win the game. They emerged with a tie, but Skattebo didn’t retain his starting role.
In Sunday’s loss to the Saints, he only logged 6 snaps and didn’t get a single carry or target.
The Giants didn’t accomplish much on the ground with Skattebo anchored to the bench. RB Najee Harris had 4 carries for 2 yards and is no longer a factor after the Giants released him on Tuesday.
The best performance of the game came from Tyrone Tracy Jr., who finished with 6 carries for 18 yards, 2 receptions for 27 yards, and 2 TDs.
Skattebo could see work again with Harris no longer in the picture, but Tracy has likely carved out at least somewhat of a role. The Giants don’t exactly have a great matchup in Week 7 vs. the Texans, who are 11th in rush EPA/play allowed.
At best, Skattebo projects to be in a split backfield against a tough defense. At worst, he's buried on the depth chart again. He's risky in fantasy land right now.
Add Cam Skattebo + Giants to cover the spread to your PrizePicks lineup now.

Jones and Irving have a chance to excel during favorable matchups for Week 7. The same can’t be said for Kamara and Skattebo, who don’t come with much fantasy appeal because of their potentially limited workloads.
