Naomi Osaka made waves in the Wimbledon Round of 16 with a triumphant straight-sets win over Aryna Sabalenka, pushing her through to her first Wimbledon quarterfinal. It was Naomi’s first career win on Centre Court, too.

It’s Osaka’s biggest win since her return to the sport in 2024, and it broke a three-match losing streak to Sabalenka, all of which came this season.

Osaka is now the favorite to win Wimbledon, featuring a 4x payout on PrizePicks Team Picks.

However, she now gets a tricky opponent in Karolina Muchova.

While this is Muchova’s third Wimbledon quarterfinal, she was bounced in the first round in four straight years before this year’s run.

Muchova’s coming off her own impressive win, defeating two-time major winner Barbora Krejcikova.

Osaka and Muchova have split their six head-to-heads, 3-3. Although Muchova won their only match this season on grass just last month, it’s difficult to read into it due to Osaka retiring with a foot injury. In 2025, Naomi defeated Karolina at the US Open and Australian Open.

Per Tennis Abstract’s Elo ratings, Muchova ranks higher on grass (sixth) than Osaka (13th). This doesn’t include either one’s play at this event, though, and Osaka’s win over Sabalenka, who’s ranked first on grass, will push her up the list.

In all, this looks like an even match between two women playing at a high level. That being said, it’s not often we see someone bully Sabalenka, so Osaka could have the edge.

Osaka vs. Muchova Pick for Wimbledon Quarterfinals Today

Naomi Osaka Pick — 17 Fantasy Score

Note: In PrizePicks tennis fantasy scoring, players earn 10 points to start (match played), games won/lost are +1/-1, sets won/lost at +3/-3, aces are 0.5, while double faults count for -0.5.

Osaka hasn’t lost a set during this Wimbledon run, and she’s been broken on her serve just twice.

The Japanese No. 1 has scored 22-plus fantasy points in all eight of her grass wins this season. Her Wimbledon fantasy scores have been 25.5, 26, 26.5, and 24.5 points.

While Osaka’s retirement against Muchova in the Bad Homburg final can’t be completely written off because she was getting beaten badly, she exceeded 17 fantasy points in both wins over Muchova in 2025.
