Jessica Pegula vs. Coco Gauff Wimbledon Prediction — Tuesday, July 7
Match Winner Payouts: Pegula 1.61x | Gauff 2.22x
Tournament Round: Quarterfinals
2026 Record Entering Wimbledon: Pegula 31-8 | Gauff 26-11
Head-to-Head Record: Pegula Leads 5-3
How to Watch: ESPN/ESPN2/ESPN App
Jessica Pegula has bounced back nicely this grass season since a first-round exit at the French Open, advancing to the Berlin final and then building off that to reach these Wimbledon quarterfinals.
She’s now 7-1 on this surface in 2026, and she’s coming off a come-from-behind victory against world No. 16 Iva Jovic. Jovic is the only player to take a set off Pegula during this Wimbledon run.
Coco Gauff was also fresh off a disappointing French Open, as her third-round loss was her worst result at Roland Garros since 2020. Combined with a one-and-done grass tournament in Berlin, it was hard to gauge her level entering Wimbledon.
Well, Gauff is now into her first Wimbledon quarterfinal, and she most recently beat world No. 11 Belinda Bencic — and the local 11:00 p.m. curfew to seal the match.
However, unlike Pegula's run, Gauff’s tournament hasn’t been quite as straightforward, with her last three matches all going three sets. While her serve hasn’t completely let her down as it has at times in recent years, Gauff did log nine double faults against Bencic.
Overall, Pegula has been the more consistent player in 2026, winning 79.5% of her matches and two titles compared to 70.3% and zero titles for Gauff.
Some of this has to do with Coco’s inconsistent serve. Among the top-50 players, Gauff has the worst double-fault rate (8.4%), and that’s contributed to her ranking 49th in second-serve points won (39.9%).
Grass is historically Gauff’s worst surface, too, as her 61.8% career tour-level grass win rate is much lower than her prowess on clay (74.8%) and hard courts (70.4%).
Pegula also leads the head-to-head versus Gauff (5-3), which includes winning their most recent overall match (2025 WTA Finals) and grass match (2024 Berlin).

Jessica Pegula vs. Coco Gauff Pick for Wimbledon Quarterfinals
Pegula vs. Gauff Pick — 22.5 Total Games
Gauff’s last three matches have gone 31, 30, and 29 total games. With Pegula finally being pushed to a deciding set against a dangerous Jovic in the fourth round, her match went 26 total games.
In the last meeting between these Americans in 2025, Pegula won 6-3, 6-7(4), 6-2 across 30 total games.
Although this is Coco’s worst surface, Jessica’s career tour-level grass win rate is only slightly better (62.5%).
Per Tennis Abstract’s Elo Ratings, Pegula ranks third on grass while Gauff is close behind in the No. 9 spot.

Felix Auger-Aliassime vs. Novak Djokovic Wimbledon Prediction — Tuesday, July 7
Match Winner Payouts: Auger-Aliassime 2.38x | Djokovic 1.53x
Tournament Round: Quarterfinals
2026 Record Entering Wimbledon: Auger-Aliassime 26-13 | Djokovic 9-4
Head-to-Head Record: Tied 1-1
How to Watch: ESPN/ESPN2/ESPN App
Felix Auger-Aliassime reached the Wimbledon quarterfinals in 2021, but he followed that up with three first-round losses from 2023-24 and then a second-round departure in 2025.
The Canadian is finally back in the quarters, though, and this now marks his second straight major quarterfinal this season.
After winning his first three Wimbledon matches in straight sets, FAA needed a dramatic five-setter to defeat Alejandro Davidovich Fokina in the fourth round 6-7(4), 7-6(6), 6-3, 7-6(2), 6-1.
Despite his four-year Wimbledon slump, Auger-Aliassime owns a solid 62.0% career win rate on grass.
FAA now gets to face Novak Djokovic, who’s shown he’s got a lot left in the tank.
Djokovic has reached at least the semis in his last seven Wimbledons and came into this edition with a ridiculous 102-13 career record in Wimbledon main-draw matches.
While concerns about the 39-year-old's body holding up over a Grand Slam are valid, and he has hardly been flawless through four rounds, Djokovic hasn't been pushed to a deciding fifth set set, with each of his matches lasting less than three and a half hours.
Auger-Aliassime will be a noticeable step up in competition for Djokovic, but the Serbian’s track record and experience here are difficult to ignore. Over his career, FAA is 3-8 versus top-10 opponents in majors.

Felix Auger-Aliassime vs. Novak Djokovic Pick for Wimbledon Quarterfinals
Novak Djokovic Pick — 21.5 Total Games Won
Djokovic hasn’t been pushed to a fifth set but has already played three four-setters.
He’s won 22, 21, and 23 total games across those matches, and none of those players had a grass Elo rating inside the top 50, per Tennis Abstract. Djokovic might be favored over Auger-Aliassime, but he could have a difficult time winning in straight sets.
According to Tennis Abstract’s Elo ratings, Novak is still the tour’s third-best grass player, while FAA ranks 13th.
FAA has played three matches versus top-30 opponents on grass this season, and both players have won a set in all three.
