One of these teams has to win eventually, right?
The AFC East rival New York Jets and Miami Dolphins enter tonight's Monday Night Football clash with identical 0-3 records, and will look to stay out of the division basement in a game that kicks off at 7:15 ET on ESPN.
The Jets, who lost two of their three games by 2 points — one of which was a walk-off 29-27 loss to the Buccaneers in Week 3 — look to avoid their first 0-4 start since 2020, when they launched the season at 0-13.
Miami, who started 0-4 back in 2019, have won nine straight home games vs. the Jets, last falling in 2015.
Below, we'll break down our Jets vs. Dolphins prediction and Week 4 Monday Night Football picks, including the connection of Miami QB Tua Tagovailoa and WR Tyreek Hill.

Jets vs. Dolphins Prediction, Monday NFL Football Picks
New York Jets Preview
The Jets enter Week 4 ranked 28th in offensive and defensive DVOA, per FTN. Although they’ve twice lost by 2 points, they are 29th in scoring defense (31.0 PPG allowed), 22nd in total defense (340.3 yards per game allowed) and 25th in total offense (271.7 yards per game). They’ve been outgained by 68.7 yards per game, seventh-worst in the league.
Jets QB Justin Fields, who missed last week with a concussion, will be back under center for New York. He passed for 218 yards in Week 1 vs. Pittsburgh before getting injured in Week 2. This is a good time for him to return, as he'll be facing a Dolphins defense that’s given up the most points in the NFL, ranking 21st in passing defense.
And fun fact: The last time the Jets won in Miami, rookie their TE Mason Taylor (son of Pro Football Hall of Fame Dolphin and Jet Jason Taylor), was 11 years old.
Miami Dolphins Preview
The beginning of the 2025 season has not been pretty for HC Mike McDaniel's crew. The 0-3 Dolphins have given up at least 31 points in all three games, with the 97 total points allowed the most in the NFL.
The Dolphins rank 20th in offensive DVOA and 31st in defensive DVOA, per FTN Fantasy. Miami’s D has allowed 6.1 yards per play, (29th in the NFL) and 8.45 pass yards per play (30th).
The offense hasn’t been much better, ranking 23rd in total yards (281.7 yards per game) and tied for 26th in rushing offense at 89.7 rush yards per game.
A loss to the Jets would drop the Dolphins to 0-3 in the AFC East, something the city of Miami hasn't seen since the 2015 season, when the Fins finished the year 1-5 in the division.
