Tee Higgins Injury Update: Is Cincy's WR Playing vs. the Ravens on Thanksgiving?

Cincinnati Bengals’ WR Tee Higgins suffered a concussion late in Sunday’s 26-20 loss against the New England Patriots, leaving his status uncertain for Cincy's Thursday night divisional matchup against the Baltimore Ravens.

QB Joe Burrow is set to make his first start since Week 2, so it would nice for him to have one of his top wide receivers available for Thanksgiving. However given the short week, that likely won't be the case.

With that in mind, let’s get a Tee Higgins injury update and check out key stats and PrizePicks projections for the rest of the Bengals’ offensive weapons, including WRs Ja’Marr Chase and Andrei Iosivas.

Tee Higgins Injury Update

Bengals head coach Zac Taylor announced midday Monday that Higgins would be out for the Thursday night game against the Baltimore Ravens due to the concussion.

This is an expected development, given the turnaround time and the lengthy process players must endure to pass through the NFL’s concussion protocol.

Bengals Offensive Outlook without Tee Higgins

Chase sat out the Bengals' 26-20 loss to the Pats last Sunday due to the one-game suspension he suffered for spitting on Steelers CB Jalen Ramsey. WR Andre Iosivas stepped up, leading all WRs in snaps and receiving yards with 61.

With Chase returning and Higgins out, the Bengals’ WR depth chart should look something like this:

  • WR1 - Ja’Marr Chase
  • WR2 - Andrei Iosivas
  • WR3 - Mitch Tinsley
  • WR4 - Charlie Jones

Without Higgins on the turf, we’ll potentially see an overwhelming display of targets funnelled Chase’s way. Given this is Burrow’s first start in almost three months, easing him in by having him focus on his top target (and safety blanket) makes the most sense for the Bengals.
