Alabama WR Ryan Coleman-Williams and RB Daniel Hill celebrate a touchdown vs. Florida State.

Two top-25 matchups for a college football Saturday are underwhelming, but #2 Georgia (5-0) vs. #6 Alabama (5-0) makes up for that and more as one of the 2026 season’s best matchups. Adding to the hype, the SEC rivals will clash under the lights for a 7:30 p.m. ET kickoff on ABC.

Elevated by a home advantage, Alabama is a 2.5-point favorite for the spread via PrizePicks. Georgia’s +32.5 average score margin leads college football, and it’s won three SEC games by +26.7 points per game. Alabama’s +28.8 average margin (sixth) isn’t far behind, and the Crimson Tide just rolled Mississippi State 56-23 on the road last week.

It doesn’t get much better than this. Two of the nation’s best battle in primetime. Let’s get into our Georgia vs. Alabama prediction and player picks for PrizePicks.

#2 Georgia vs. #6 Alabama  Prediction, Spread, Over/Under for Saturday, October 10

Alabama is a 2.5-point favorite for the spread, paired with a 1.75x payout to win on PrizePicks — or a $175 payout on a $100 entry if you’re right.

Here are the full payouts for Georgia vs. Alabama on PrizePicks, including winner payouts, the spread, and over/under. PrizePicks data is live at the time of writing and is subject to change.

According to NFL Mock Draft Database’s 2027 NFL Consensus Big Board, seven players among the top 51 prospects will be on show in this game. And that doesn’t include noneligible players like Alabama QB Keelon Russell, who is tracking toward a first-round grade and has the second-shortest payout to win the Heisman Trophy (5.88x) on PrizePicks.

Russell will face an elite Georgia defense headlined by three potential 2027 first-round picks: CB Ellis Robinson IV, S KJ Bolden, and LB Chris Cole. The Bulldogs have allowed 16.0 PPG (88th percentile) and 4.2 yards per play (93rd percentile). This matchup is making most headlines, further fueled by the Crimson Tide’s 49.6 PPG (100th percentile) and 7.0 yards per play (94th percentile).

Georgia’s offense has fared quite well, too, tallying 48.5 PPG (99th percentile) and 7.0 yards per play (94th percentile). In fact, these offenses are nearly mirroring each other, as the two lead college football in PPG.

Perhaps the weakest unit of this matchup is Alabama’s defense allowing 20.8 PPG (70th percentile) and 4.8 yards per play (77th percentile), though the Tide have an elite rush D that allows only 2.5 yards per carry (95th percentile).

These teams are truly elite in nearly every category on the field. Frankly, one could argue the two have been college football’s best through five weeks, and PrizePicks gives Georgia (5.26x) and Alabama (6.66x) the second- and fourth-shortest payouts to win the national championship.

Concerning the Southeastern Conference, the Bulldogs are the favorite to win the SEC championship (2.56x), followed by the Tide’s second-shortest payout (3.84x). As if Heisman and national title contenders weren’t enough, this game could drastically shift the SEC race as well.

Hurricane Isaias hit the Gulf Coast on Friday, but this game may have dodged the storm’s effects, as AccuWeather is calling for a 25% chance for rain in Tuscaloosa on Saturday night.

Georgia vs. Alabama Prediction on Winner – 10/10/26

The Georgia defense vs. Alabama offense promises to be everything we’ve hoped for and more, as the Crimson Tide’s starting RT Jayvin James is expected to return from injury this week. However, Alabama TE Josh Bord will be out after suffering a broken arm last week.

For Georgia, RB Nate Frazier took only 4 snaps last week and is expected to play, and he will likely need to step up with RB Chauncey Bowens slated to be out. Bowens totaled 9.5 carries per game in the last two games, with Frazier battling injury.

The Bulldogs continue to lean on the urn with a 55.47% rush-play rate (67th percentile), paired with 5.8 yards per carry (96th percentile). However, Alabama has now erased two strong rushing attacks in Kentucky and Mississippi State, holding the two to a combined 1.9 yards per carry.

Additionally, the Crimson Tide produce an elite 26.0% stuff rate (93rd percentile) and allow only 2.0 line yards per carry (98th percentile), which measures an offensive line’s effectiveness, via Fourth and Short. Frankly, I’ve seen enough to assume no one in the country can run on this defense.

If that’s the case, this matchup could boil down to Georgia QB Gunner Stockton. He’s producing an elite 10.3 yards per passing attempt with 13 passing TDs and 1 INT.

According to Pro Football Focus, Stockton’s 7.3% big-time throw rate is second in the SEC among QBs with at least 50 dropbacks. That’s even better than Heisman hopeful Keelon Russell’s 5.5% total.

Stockton has 0 turnover-worthy plays, once again trumping Russell’s 3. That’s a huge key against elite defenses, with Georgia forcing 2.5 takeaways per game (97th percentile) and Bama totaling 2.6 (98th percentile).

These defenses will create havoc, and the QB who handles the pressure and takes care of the ball can fuel a win. Stockton is producing an absurd 12.5% big-time throw rate with 13.2 yards per attempt when under pressure, compared to Russell’s 2.5% and 8.9 in the split.

Georgia vs. Alabama Picks, Player Stats for PrizePicks – 10/10/26

Today’s Georgia vs. Alabama picks are headlined by QB Gunner Stockton and WR Ryan Coleman-Williams on PrizePicks.

Georgia QB Gunner Stockton vs. Alabama: 206.5 Pass Yards

  • We touched on Alabama’s elite run defense, but its pass defense has shown cracks by yielding 7.6 yards per passing attempt (43rd percentile).
  • According to Game on Paper, the Crimson Tide allow a 41.1% pass success rate (70th percentile) compared to a 34.3% rush success rate (94th percentile).
  • Georgia’s offensive line allows only a 10.3% havoc rate (89th percentile), potentially offsetting some of Bama’s 9.47% sack rate (86th percentile).
  • Stockton hasn’t blinked with a 72.2% adjusted completion percentage when under pressure. Even more impressive, that’s with a lofty 15.2 average depth of target in the split.
  • Georgia is typically a run-first offense, but Alabama may force throws. Stockton seems up to the challenge, as he posted 28.5 passing attempts per game in the last two compared to 15.0 per game over his first three games.
  • Following last week’s 295 passing yards vs. Vanderbilt, watch out for Stockton.
Pick Gunner Stockton + Georgia to win on PrizePicks.

Alabama WR Ryan Coleman-Williams vs. Georgia: 65.5 Receiving Yards

  • Where can this elite Kirby Smart defense crack? The Dawgs have yielded a 42.2% pass success rate that is 51st out of 138 FBS teams.
  • Fourth and Short ranks Georgia 80th for pass explosiveness allowed, and Ryan Coleman-Williams produces 18.8 yards per catch.
  • Coleman-Williams may have finally solved his drop issues, logging 0 drops over his last four games.
  • He leads the Crimson Tide with 27 targets, and his 8.9 yards after the catch per reception is tied as the third-best mark among SEC targets with at least 15 targets on the season.
  • Coleman-Williams has surpassed this projection in only two of five games, but his 75.2 per-game average clears. Plus, Alabama is unlikely to be in another blowout win, meaning pass attempts should increase.
