Following injuries, several players have emerged as potential must-adds in fantasy football for Week 4’s waiver wire. Plus, Jets rookie TE Kenyon Sadiq comes off a breakout performance, putting him front and center for the waiver wire. 

Let’s look at Week 4’s waiver wire options for fantasy football, including QBs, RBs, WRs, TEs, and D/ST streaming candidates.

Fantasy Football Waiver Wire Pickups for Week 4

The Dolphins continue to draw attention for the waiver wire. Miami RB De’Von Achane suffered a season-ending knee injury, and the Phins’ top receiving targets remain available on the waiver wire.

The Jets are another team on our radar thanks to 277 passing yards in Week 3’s 31-24 loss vs. the Lions. We’ve got that and more to cover in Week 4’s waiver wire targets, including more injuries shaking up roles.

Top Quarterback Waiver Wire Pickups for Week 4

Veteran quarterbacks provided big-time performances in Week 3, including 26.0 fantasy points from Jets QB Geno Smith, Cardinals QB Jacoby Brissett logging 25.6 fantasy points, and Raiders QB Kirk Cousins racking up 22.2 fantasy points. 

Several vets make this week’s waiver wire list for quarterbacks, but Seahawks QB Sam Darnold is the headliner following his return from injury.

Week 4 Matchup: vs. Chargers

Week 4 Projections via PrizePicks: 232.5 Pass Yards, 1.5 Pass TDs, 5.5 Rush Yards

Roster Percentage: 37%

After Week 1’s early exit with a 10.0% snap share and 2 passing attempts, Sam Darnold made his return from injury in Week 3. In his first full appearance of 2026, Darnold didn’t miss a beat by racking up 379 passing yards, 4 passing TDs, and 29.7 fantasy points (QB2).

However, Darnold also recorded 2 INTs, while Pro Football Focus credited him with 3 turnover-worthy plays. According to RBSDM, his 0.233 adjusted EPA per play (13th) and 55.1% success rate (10th) were both in the top half of Week 3. 

Week 4 brings a meeting with the Chargers, who have allowed 8.0 yards per passing attempt (26th) and a 47.2% dropback success rate (22nd). With Los Angeles allowing 25.3 PPG (20th) through three games, this should put Darnold in a positive scoring environment, providing another chance to stack TDs. 

Darnold’s passing volume will be a big factor going forward, as he totaled 45 attempts compared to Seattle’s 18 rushing attempts. The Seahawks were trailing 24-10 in the third quarter vs. the Commanders, ending in a 33-31 loss on Sunday. Jets QB Geno Smith

Week 4 Matchup: vs. Bears

Week 4 Projections via PrizePicks: 219.5 Pass Yards, 11.5 Rush Yards

Roster Percentage: 9%

Following Week 1’s 9.3 fantasy points, Geno Smith posted 15.6 (QB17) in Week 2, followed by 26.0 fantasy points (QB3) vs. the Lions. His volume carries big-time potential, backed by 39.0 passing attempts per game over Smith’s last two appearances.

The Jets may lean on the pass even more going forward, as RB Breece Hall left Sunday’s game with a quad injury and is considered week-to-week. Smith’s 0.183 adjusted EPA per play (15th) and 49.2% success rate (17th) are in the top 20, while his 10.9 competition percentage over expectation (CPOE) leads all QBs.

New York WR Garrett Wilson is a true top target with 243 receiving yards (81.0 per game), boosted by his 20.91 total EPA (12th) and his efficient 2.27 yards per route run, per SumerSports. Rookie TE Kenyon Sadiq just had a breakout Week 3 game by recording 7 catches for 105 receiving yards and 1 TD on 8 targets. Sadiq touts 2.32 yards per route run, which is sixth among TEs with at least 25 routes run.

Smith is thriving with high volume, paired with some reliable targets on the Jets offense. Another negative game script could be ahead in Week 4, with New York a 3.5-point underdog on the spread vs. the Bears, per PrizePicks.

Commanders QB Marcus Mariota

Week 4 Matchup: vs. Colts

Week 4 Projections via PrizePicks: 211.5 Pass Yards, 241.5 Pass + Rush Yards, 0.5 Pass TDs (Goblin)

Roster Percentage: 3%

Rounding out a strong week for QBs on the waiver wire, Marcus Mariota had a strong performance with 20.4 fantasy points (QB13) in his first full start since Commanders QB Jayden Daniels’ elbow injury.

Mariota tallied 183 passing yards while completing 19 of 31 pass attempts. That’s nothing to write home about, as his 3 passing TDs carried the load. Furthermore, the Commanders’ backup QB has true rush potential, taking 5 carries for 11 rushing yards in Week 3.   

Following Week 2’s strong 12.4 average depth of target (aDOT) on 16 pass attempts, that dropped to 8.3 vs. the Seahawks. While Washington beat the Seahawks 33-31, this was mostly thanks to 3 forced turnovers — including a pick-six. The Commanders offense generated only 258 total yards and 4.0 yards per play in the win.

Top Running Back Waiver Wire Pickups for Week 4. 

Starting with the most notable injury of the week, Dolphins RB De’Von Achane suffered a season-ending torn ACL. Saints RB Travis Etienne Jr. sustained a hamstring injury and is expected to miss time. Finally, Jets RB Breece Hall exited Week 3’s game with a quad injury and is currently week-to-week.

All three injuries have major impacts on Week 4’s waiver wire — including Saints RB Alvin Kamara, Dolphins RB Ollie Gordon II, and Jets RB Braelon Allen.

Saints RB Alvin Kamara

Week 4 Matchup: vs. Falcons

Roster Percentage: 43% 

Alvin Kamara missed the season-opening game with a knee injury. He returned in Week 2 and posted a 29.4% snap share with 9 carries for 15 rushing yards and 6 targets for 5 catches and 7 receiving yards.

Saints RB Travis Etienne Jr. left Sunday’s game due to injury and finished with a 37.8% snap rate. Kamara’s Week 2 snap share slightly jumped to 32.4% in Week 3. After missing Week 2 due to illness, RB Kendre Miller returned on Sunday and produced 4 carries, 14 rushing yards, 3 targets, 2 receptions, and 5 receiving yards on a 18.9% snap share. 

With Etienne expected to miss time, this Saints backfield is an obvious target for the waiver wire. New Orleans has recorded 27.0 PPG (11th) through three contests, providing a positive scoring environment. 

Considering Kamara’s volume as the offense’s RB2, he will likely get the most notable workload if Etienne misses time, paired with Miller potentially taking red zone rushing attempts.

Dolphins RB Ollie Gordon II

Week 4 Matchup: vs. Vikings

Roster Percentage: 5% 

Among waiver wire targets following RB injuries, the Dolphins’ running back room should take the highest priority following De’Von Achane’s season-ending knee injury. 

After Achane took just a 5.5% snap share before his injury, Ollie Gordon II totaled an 83.6% snap share compared to Week 2’s 18.6% mark. Gordon turned that into a large workload, stacking 17 rushing attempts and 3 targets for 41 rushing yards and 14 receiving yards. Plus, he found the end zone once, contributing to 14.5 fantasy points (RB13). 

Dolphins RB Jaylen Wright is currently battling a stinger and foot injury, which led to his Week 3 absence. When healthy in Week 1, Wright and Gordon each took 4 snaps behind Achane. Wright could eat into Gordon’s touches as the season progresses.

Jets RB Braelon Allen

Week 4 Matchup: vs. Bears

Roster Percentage: 19% 

With a week-to-week status, Jets RB Breece Hall could also miss multiple games. If that’s the case, Braelon Allen is the clear waiver wire target in New York. 

Before Hall’s injury, Allen was still getting work with 40.3% and 31.1% snap shares in the first two games. Hall still had a 48.5% snap rate before suffering his injury on Sunday, but Allen’s workload slightly elevated to a 51.5% snap share. 

According to Pro Football Reference, Allen already has 2 red zone rushing attempts on the season. After posting 1.0 targets per game over his first two games, the former Wisconsin Badger tallied 3 targets in Week 3. However, Jets RB Isaiah Davis showcased his receiving efficiency in several games last season — such as 44 receiving yards in Week 8 and 52 in Week 16.

Backed by his red zone work when Hall was healthy, Allen should at least get most of the Jets’ rushing attempts, especially in the red zone. At worst, Davis could feature as a third-down back, taking targets from Allen.

Top Wide Receiver Waiver Wire Pickups for Week 4

Injuries weren’t exclusive to running backs, as Vikings WR Justin Jefferson (ankle), Panthers WR Jalen Coker (quad), and 49ers WR Mike Evans (rib) all left during Week 3 games due to injuries. 

This leads to some clear waiver wire targets, including Vikings WR Jauan Jennings, Panthers WR Xavier Legette, and 49ers WR KhaDarel Hodge.

Alongside potential injury replacements, the Dolphins’ receiving room continues to draw attention, with each player widely available in fantasy football leagues.

Dolphins WR Malik Washington

Week 4 Matchup: vs. Vikings

Roster Percentage: 20% 

Dolphins WRs Malik Washington (20%), Caleb Douglas (22%), and Chris Bell (4%) are Miami’s top wideouts on the depth chart, yet each player remains widely available for the waiver wire. 

Douglas (ankle) missed Week 3, and Bell had only 1 catch over his first two games. However, Bell had his best game yet with 7 targets, 4 receptions, 67 receiving yards, and 10.7 fantasy points (WR41) on Sunday.

Washington sported a team-high 10 targets in the 24-10 loss vs. the Chiefs. In fact, he’s featured the most trustworthy volume so far, featuring 8, 5, and 10 targets over the first three contests. That’s yielded a healthy 27.06% target share. 

While Washington carries a 49.5% slot snap rate, that hasn’t harmed his 10.8 aDOT. Even more impressive, he’s produced 7.9 yards after catch per reception. His 50.7 receiving yards per game lead the way, but Washington’s 3 rushing attempts over the last two games draw attention — especially after De’Von Achane’s season-ending injury.

According to PlayerProfiler, Washington has yet to receive a red zone target, but his volume still demands attention. Since Week 2, he’s recorded 8.7 (WR41) and 11.1 fantasy points (WR39). Keep in mind the Phins should have plenty of negative game scripts and high passing volume ahead, and that means Washington is a worthy stash on your bench.

Vikings WR Jauan Jennings

Week 4 Matchup: vs. Dolphins

Roster Percentage: 5% 

This waiver wire target is reliant on Justin Jefferson’s status for Week 4. So far, it seems Jefferson has a shot to suit up vs. the Dolphins. If he does not go, Jauan Jennings could be a good streaming option if you’re in a tight pinch due to injuries. 

In Week 1, Jennings had a 47.7% snap share, was inactive in Week 2, and boasted a 79.7% snap rate in Week 3. However, he didn’t do much despite being on the field for almost every snap, yielding 2 targets for 1 catch and 1 receiving yard on Sunday. Jefferson had just an 11.9% snap share before suffering his ankle injury, proving Jennings would be set to replace Jettas’ snaps if he were inactive. 

In Vikings QB Kyler Murray’s first full start, Minnesota attempted 29 passing attempts compared to 23 rushing attempts. Week 4’s opponent, the Dolphins, have allowed 9.1 yards per passing attempt (31st) and a 58.6% dropback success rate (31st). If Jennings has a high snap rate, he could shine thanks to a lofty 15.7 aDOT on the season.

After being drafted with the #16 pick in the 2026 NFL Draft, Kenyon Sadiq had a limited role in his first two games, with 41.8% and 36.5% snap shares. That led to only 3.0 targets, 2.5 receptions, and 19.0 receiving yards per game.

Jets WR Adonai Mitchell (finger) and TE Mason Taylor (thumb) were inactive in Week 3. Taylor’s absence boosted Sadiq’s snap rate to 57.6%, and he took full advantage of the opportunity with a breakout performance: 8 targets, 7 receptions, 105 receiving yards, 1 TD, and 23.5 fantasy points (TE4).

After racking up 4.20 yards per route run and 6.4 yards after catch per reception, Sadiq may have earned himself an elevated role for weeks to come. For context, Bills TE Dalton Kincaid’s 3.81 yards per route run leads all tight ends with at least 10 targets on the season. Furthermore, Sadiq’s 6.9 YAC per reception is the fifth-highest mark among TEs with at least 10 targets. 

Taylor’s thumb injury was initially tabbed as week-to-week, and he didn’t practice once leading up to Week 3. Sadiq’s Week 3 performance should demand targets regardless, but his role will also stay elevated if Taylor continues to miss time.

However, the unit has generated a 7.56% sack rate (10th) while forcing 1.0 takeaways per game (15th). The Patriots are up next on the schedule, and New England’s offense is a disaster with a 9.47% sack rate allowed (28th) and 2.7 turnovers per game (31st). 

Patriots QB Drake Maye has 6 INTs and 1 lost fumble through three games. Among QBs with at least 88 dropbacks, Maye’s 8.6% turnover-worthy play rate is the highest mark in the NFL. The second-best highest mark is 7.3% held by Broncos QB Bo Nix, proving Maye is truly in a league of his own.

With the Pats giving out turnovers like Santa Claus delivering gifts, any D/ST facing this unit immediately becomes a strong streaming option on the waiver wire.
