2026 Fantasy Football Buy Low Players for Week 9

Here are key buy-low players to consider trading for in Week 9, along with their PrizePicks projections this week.

All stats via PFF, NFL Next Gen Stats, and rankings via FantasyPros.

Jets WR Omar Cooper Jr. – Buy Low

Week 9 Matchup: @ Chiefs

Omar Cooper Jr. entered Week 8 as one of the NFL's hottest wide receivers. In Weeks 6 through 7, he ranked sixth in yards after the catch (91), eighth in receiving yards (218), and was the WR3. He was emerging as a superstar for the Jets offense.

Cooper's rise unfortunately made Jets WR Garrett Wilson a non-factor, as Wilson recorded 70 combined receiving yards in Weeks 6 through 7.

Week 8 should have been a favorable matchup against a Raiders defense that is 29th in passing yards allowed per game (373.7) and 22nd in fantasy points allowed to wide receivers per game (21.8).

But it was Jets WR Adonai Mitchell who had his best game of the season, with 142 receiving yards and a TD. Wilson bounced back with 83 receiving yards. Cooper put up a goose egg; he didn’t record a target and finished with 0 fantasy points.

Mitchell's big game and Wilson's bounce-back performance could help draw attention away from Cooper. The Jets’ rookie may not have the same huge performances as before, but he could still be fantasy-relevant and worth a trade offer.

Commanders WR Antonio Williams – Buy Low

Week 9 Matchup: vs. Rams

Last week, Antonio Williams was a hot waiver-wire target after Commanders WR Terry McLaurin went down for the year with a knee injury.

You could get great value this week because Williams disappointed in Week 8 against the Eagles. He finished with just 5 catches for 54 yards.

The start of the game was encouraging, proven by 6 targets in the first half. Unfortunately, Williams saw just 1 more target after that.

However, some encouraging trends suggest Williams could play a larger role as the season progresses. In Week 8, he led all Commanders receivers in snaps (50), routes run (28), and targets (7).

Williams was the seventh wide receiver selected in the 2026 draft. Even though he wasn’t among the top wide receivers selected in the draft, he’s playing like one, leading all rookies in offensive PFF grade (75.3) and reception rate (76.7%, minimum 20 targets).

He had his breakout game in his Week 1 debut, recording 64 receiving yards and 1 TD, with more to potentially come as his role expands.

Colts WR Josh Downs – Buy Low

Week 9 Matchup: vs. Cowboys

After his Week 8 performance against the Jaguars, Josh Downs may be among the most sought-after receivers before the trade deadline.

The basic stats in his Week 8 matchup will not jump out at you, including just 23 yards on 4 catches and a TD. However, the entire Colts' offense did nothing, scoring just 7 points on 243 total yards.

Downs had some of the best Week 8 metrics against the Jaguars, leading the team in routes run (33) and receiving EPA (+2.9), while ranking second in average yards of separation (6.5).

You’re trading for him as a future asset. You’re hoping he’s traded to a playoff-contending team that will use his high-level route-running skills. Downs can become a vital part of your roster in the coming weeks.

2026 Fantasy Football Sell High Players for Week 9

Here are some key players to sell high on for fantasy football after overachieving, plus their projections on PrizePicks this week.

Cardinals RB Tyler Allgeier – Sell High

Week 9 Matchup: @ Seahawks

Allgeier had a record-setting day, rushing for a career-high 191 yards and 2 TDs against the Cowboys. The performance was surprising, as he hadn’t reached 100 scrimmage yards since 2024.

Allgeier hasn’t had a great first season with the Cardinals. Heading into Week 8, he ranked 36th in the league in EPA per rush attempt (-0.23), 37th in rushing success rate (31.1%), and 39th in yards per carry (2.9).

One reason Allgeier became the focus for the Cardinals in their upset over the Cowboys was RB Jeremiyah Love's injury. The Cardinals' first-round rookie running back left the game due to an ankle injury, the same one that forced Love to miss the previous two games.

Before leaving, Love led the backfield with 9 carries, compared with Allgeier’s 2. After Love left the game late in the first quarter, Allgeier out-carried Cardinals RB Bam Knight 9-3.

This was also a favorable matchup against a Cowboys defense that ranks 26th in fantasy points allowed to running backs per game (20.7).

With the Cardinals placing Love on the IR, Allgeier could see more touches. In Week 6, with Love out, Allgeier led the Cardinals’ running backs with a 56% snap share, though he averaged only 2.1 yards per carry on 18 carries.

In Week 7, Knight led the backfield with a 53% snap share. It seems like Cardinals head coach Mike LaFleur is going with the hot hand for that each week, and that's been changing weekly.

Allgeier’s schedule gets tougher. Next week the Cardinals face the Seahawks, then the Rams, who are tied for 10th in fantasy points allowed per game to running backs (15.4). After that, they face the Chiefs, who rank ninth in fantasy points allowed per game to running backs (15.0).

Cardinals WR Michael Wilson – Sell High

Week 9 Matchup: @ Seahawks

Sorry to pick on the Cardinals. I don’t expect them to repeat their performance against the Cowboys.

That Week 8 win was more about the Cowboys choking than the Cardinals excelling. It was the first time in franchise history the Cowboys had lost while holding a 14-point fourth-quarter lead. The Cowboys’ defense is among the league’s worst, ranking 27th in points allowed per game (26.6) and last in yards allowed per game (384.5).

The Cardinals capitalized on that terrible Dallas defense, amassing a season-high 467 total yards. This helped Wilson deliver his best performance of the season, including a season-high 111 receiving yards and his first TD since Week 3.

Wilson has struggled since the Cardinals traded WR Marvin Harrison Jr. He’s ranked 18th in receiving yards (198) and a pitiful 105th in yards after the catch (34) since Week 5.

QB Gardner Minshew led the Cardinals’ comeback, replacing struggling QB Jacoby Brissett. The Cardinals have named Minshew the starter for Week 9 against the Seahawks.

Minshew spreading the ball around drives this hesitation around Wilson. He led the Cardinals in targets (7) with Minshew behind center, followed by TE Trey McBride (6) and Allgeier (4). This could mean another game where Wilson splits targets with other receivers, and he won’t have the favorable defense he did before.

Lions WR Jameson Williams – Sell High

Week 9 Matchup: @ Dolphins

Williams is the perfect example of a boom-or-bust player. You throw him in your lineup hoping he'll have a big game, and over the last two weeks he’s delivered, ranking third in the league in yards per reception (17.9, minimum 15 targets) and as WR5.

However, with the good comes the bad, and he was WR25 from Weeks 1 to 5. Williams also lacks consistency; this season he’s finished three games outside the top 40, three between 12 and 20, and one in the top 10.

Another challenge for Williams is Detroit's crowded offense. The Lions have multiple options in the passing game, including WR Amon-Ra St. Brown and TE Sam LaPorta, and the offense runs through RB Jahmyr Gibbs — who leads the league in touches.

When you’re competing for a championship, Williams can tilt your team toward a win, but he can also tilt you away from success. You can’t predict which week he’ll go off, so it’s too risky to have him in your lineup, especially with the regular season almost over.
