Week 2 had some exciting games, a lot of which helped fantasy football lineups. Unfortunately, we saw injuries to some of the top NFL stars, which could put fantasy teams in panic mode as they scramble to replace them.

Now is the time to assess where a fantasy roster stands and start making moves for the real stretch of the season.

Fantasy Football Buy Low Players – Week 3

Here are some key buy-low players whom you should consider trading for in Week 3, as well as their projections on PrizePicks this week.

Patriots QB Drake Maye – Buy

Week 3 Matchup: @ Jaguars

2025 was QB Drake Maye’s breakout season, with him finishing second in MVP voting. Some experts predicted he would carry that momentum into 2026, but it’s been a slow start, and he's currently ranked QB28.

One could attribute the early struggles to specific circumstances. We have to accept that the Seahawks have Maye’s number given his performances against them in last year’s Super Bowl and in Week 1. In Week 2, rainy conditions made passing difficult in the matchup against the Steelers.

Maye is also without his top receiver, as star offseason pickup WR A.J. Brown (ankle), was placed on IR. Brown’s return could help Maye’s production. Maye's schedule suggests a turnaround could come soon.

Jacksonville may be another tough matchup, but then he faces the Bills, who Lions QB Jared Goff just scored 29.8 fantasy points against. He then plays the Jets, Bears, Dolphins, Packers, and Lions — all pass defenses that have started the season poorly.

This could be a time to get Maye from a frustrated fantasy manager.

Lions WR Jameson Williams – Buy

Week 3 Matchup: vs. Jets

It’s time to scoop up WR Jameson Williams, because his stock is low. In Week 1, he was only behind Lions WR Amon-Ra St. Brown’s 14 targets with 9, but his number dropped to 4 in Week 2. However, he’s getting plenty of time on the field.

Williams' snap rate was 84% in Week 1, then rose to 97% in Week 2. According to PlayerProfiler, he’s 11th among WRs in route participation (90.2%).

This slow start also happened to Williams last year. From Weeks 1-7, he was the WR45, averaging 9.6 fantasy PPG. From Weeks 8-18, he was the WR7, averaging 16.2.

The Lions are among the league’s best offenses, scoring 31.0 PPG (fourth), but the defense has been the opposite, allowing 35.5 (31st). The game script could force the Lions’ offense to air it out every game.

Williams is one of the league’s most explosive receivers. Last year, he finished fifth in yards per reception (17.2) and 10th in yards after the catch (433).

Falcons WR Drake London – Buy

Week 3 Matchup: @ Packers

The Falcons have looked lost on offense, ranking 31st in PPG (8.0) and 29th in yards per game (262.5). The combination of QBs Cooper Rush and Jack Strand has been a disaster, with the duo ranking last in the NFL in passer rating (38.2).

The Falcons are getting an upgrade, with Michael Penix set to play in Week 3. 

This could be the saving grace WR Drake London needs to bring him back to fantasy relevance. From Weeks 4-11 last year with Penix, he averaged 17.2 fantasy PPG and was the overall WR4.

Now's the time to trade for London, with the Falcons playing Thursday against the Packers, who are sitting 19th in fantasy points PPG given up to WRs (23.0).

Fantasy Football Sell High Players – Week 3

Here are some key players to sell high on for fantasy football after overachieving, plus their projections on PrizePicks this week.

Raiders WR Tre Tucker – Sell

Week 3 Matchup: @ Saints

After a dud performance in Week 1 with just 4.7 fantasy points, WR Tre Tucker rebounded with 22.9 and finished as the WR6.

Fantasy managers drafted Tucker with the expectation that he would be the Raiders’ go-to wideout. That is the case, as he leads the group with a 19.0% target share. However, he doesn't lead the team; RB Ashton Jeanty does (22.4%).

Tucker is trending in the wrong direction. Despite a big Week 2 performance, he played fewer snaps, dropping from a 71% snap share in Week 1 to 59% in Week 2.

This feels reminiscent of last season, when Tucker had that massive performance in Week 3 with 40.9 fantasy points. He was the top waiver wire pickup the following week but couldn't replicate that performance, finishing the rest of 2025 as the WR48.

Tucker’s target share is about to significantly drop, as TE Brock Bowers is expected to return this week. Bowers will be the Raiders’ top option when he’s on the field, as he led the team in target share last year (23.4%) even while missing four games.

We may have already seen Tucker’s peak in 2026.

Texans TE Dalton Schultz – Sell

Week 3 Matchup: @ Colts

The Texans lost numerous WRs due to injury before the season, including Jayden Higgins (knee) and Tank Dell (knee). That didn’t move TE Dalton Schultz up the pecking order, though, as he finished third on the team in Week 1 with 35 receiving yards. 

However, when Texans WR Nico Collins (hamstring) was ruled out for their Week 2 matchup against the Bengals, it was Schultz’s time to be top dog. In that game, he finished with 12 receptions and 140 receiving yards, both career highs.

Schultz’s production surge also likely stemmed from the matchup. The Bengals finished last in receptions (114), receiving yards (1,444), and fantasy PPG (14.1) allowed to TEs last year.

Last season was Schultz's most productive in Houston, featuring 82 catches for 777 receiving yards, but he only finished as TE11.

This is a great opportunity to sell Schultz before Collins returns and reclaims his position as the club's top pass catcher.

Vikings RB Aaron Jones – Sell

Week 3 Matchup: @ Buccaneers

Aaron Jones’ stint with the Vikings has been nowhere near what it was with the Packers. His 105-yard rushing performance last week was just the second time in 31 games with Minnesota that he has surpassed 100 rushing yards. 

The circumstances surrounding the Vikings’ Week 2 matchup against the Bears forced Jones into a heavy workload. During the game, heavy rain and high winds made passing very difficult. The Vikings leaned heavily into the run with 28 carries compared to just 20 pass attempts.

The Vikings are also using Jones more because RB Jordan Mason (thumb) was recently placed on IR. In Week 1, those two nearly split snaps, with Jones having a 46% snap share and Mason having a 45% mark. When Mason returns, he should be back in the mix.

Next week, the Vikings travel to face the Buccaneers, who rank fifth in rushing yards per game (75.0) and 11th in fantasy PPG (12.5) to the position. The Vikings could also have a more balanced offense, which would limit Jones's touches.

Sell Jones now, as this might be his peak value.
