Demons and Goblins, Explained: Introducing Less and More Picks

Until now, PrizePicks Demon and Goblin picks have only let you choose More.

Introducing Less and More Picks on Demons & Goblins

Red Demon picks and green Goblin picks are no longer More-only. Now, on select Demon and Goblin projections, you can choose either More or Less. 

When available, the player projection will show the Demon and Goblin icon next to the More or Less, so you can see which type of pick you’re making before adding it to your Lineup. 

Adding a Demon can increase your Lineup’s potential payout compared to a standard projection, while a Goblin makes the outcome easier to hit in exchange for a lower payout.

Now, you have more options to stack up your Lineup with the picks you want.

For example, one projection might show a green Goblin on the Less, and a red Demon on the More. That means picking More is the harder outcome with higher payout potential, while picking Less is the easier outcome with a lower payout.

Users will now see the Less option on alternate projections for several NFL, MLB, and WNBA stat types!

What Do Demons and Goblins Mean on PrizePicks?

To keep it simple: More or Less tells you which direction you’re picking. The red Demon or green Goblin tells you the difficulty and payout of that outcome.

Demons and Goblins give you different levels of difficulty and payout potential.

What is a Demon on PrizePicks?

A Demon is a more difficult Player Pick marked with a red Demon icon in the app.

And now, Demons can appear on either More or Less on select projections — so you have more ways to take on a tougher outcome, no matter what side you like.

For example, let’s say Bengals QB Joe Burrow’s standard passing yards projection is set at 269.5. 

In this case, there could be a Demon on either a lower or higher projection:

• 299.5 pass yards – More = Demon pick / Less = Goblin
• 229.5 pass yards – Less = Demon pick / More = Goblin

Adding Demons to your Lineup is the only way to reach PrizePicks’ maximum 2000x payout, though the exact payout depends on your picks.

Does More always mean Demon?

What is a Goblin on PrizePicks?

A Goblin is a statistically easier pick marked with a green Goblin icon in the app. Goblin picks are easier to hit than standard projections, but they come with a lower payout.

Now, Goblins can appear on either More or Less on Player Pick projections, giving you more ways to take the easier side, no matter which side you like.

For example, let’s say Timberwolves SG Anthony Edwards’ standard projection is set at 28.5 points. 

In this case, there could be a Goblin on both a lower or higher projection on points.

• 24.5 points – More = Goblin pick / Less = Demon
• 33.5 points – Less = Goblin pick / More = Demon

Does Less always mean Goblin?

No. A Less outcome can be either a Demon or Goblin depending on the projection. The icon in the app next to “Less” will show you which one it is.

How to Pick Demons & Goblins

Making a Demon or Goblin pick works just like any other Player Pick — just look for the red or green icons next to the More/Less when making your picks!

1. Choose a player and their stat projection.
2. Check the More and Less options for the Demon or Goblin icon next to each outcome.
3. Tap the right/left arrows icon next to the projection number to see alternate projection options — these will typically have Demons, Goblins, or both.
4. Pick the side you think will hit.
5. Add it to your Lineup and check your payout before submitting.

You can mix Demons, Goblins, standard Player Picks, and even Team Picks — when eligible — in the same Lineup!
