Bronny James Summer League Pick, Projection

Bronny James' points projection is the most popular pick on PrizePicks NBA Summer League today, and for good reason. It has been a great Summer League outing for Bronny James so far in Las Vegas, coming off a 17-point game vs. the Clippers on Monday.

James has been one of the main highlights in the Summer League, mainly because he's LeBron's son. But he's also drawn attention as a contributor in the summer, and many are interested in his player development and how he has improved since completing his rookie season with the Lakers.

Bronny didn’t play much during the regular season last year, as he only appeared in 27 games and averaged 2.3 points in 6.7 minutes played per game. He did perform well when playing in the G-League, as he got the chance to start and play more freely, averaging 21.9 points, 5.1 rebounds, and 5.5 assists, while also shooting 44% from the field and 38% from 3-point range.

Now fast-forward to his 2025 Summer League performance — Bronny has shown more in his play on both ends of the floor, and looks more confident in his abilities. In his first Las Vegas Summer League game against Cooper Flagg and the Mavericks, James did struggle to find his shot. He finished that game with 8 points and shot 2-of-8 from the field.

His last two games have been a major improvement, and has shown what he can potentially showcase on the NBA level. Against the Pelicans, James dropped 14 points, three assists, and two steals, while shooting 5-of-11 from the field in 24 minutes.

In his last game against the Clippers, James had his best performance so far in the Summer League. He would finish with 17 points, five rebounds, and five assists. He also shot 6-of-10 from the field and 3-of-5 from 3-point range in 24 minutes played.

In his three games played in Vegas, James is averaging 13 points, 2.7 rebounds, and 3.3 assists, with a shooting percentage of 44.8% from the field and 31.3% from 3-point range, which is major improvement from his performance last year in the Summer League.

James will look to continue his improved play against the Celtics tonight, with his projection set at 11.5 points — a number he's topped in each of his last two games, taking 10+ shots in each
