Following eight matchups at 1:00 p.m. ET, Sunday, September 13, has four 4:25 p.m. ET battles on tap. Two of those are divisional collisionals, while the Chargers and Raiders each play host on the West Coast.

NFL 4pm Game Predictions for Week 1 – Sunday, September 13
Here’s a full look at today’s 4:25 p.m. ET schedule for NFL Week 1, including who is favored on PrizePicks and how you can watch each matchup.
To open the 2026 NFL season, we’ll focus on the Dolphins vs. Raiders, followed by the Packers vs. Vikings.
Dolphins vs. Raiders Prediction on Spread for NFL Week 1
Potentially two of the NFL’s worst teams in 2026 meet in the Dolphins vs. Raiders. According to PrizePicks, Miami has a 1.75x payout to reach 4+ wins, while Las Vegas isn’t much better with a 1.69x payout for 6+ wins in the 2026 season.
Each team begins a new era on Sunday, with head coach Jeff Hafley leading the Fins while Klint Kubiak kicks off his head coaching duties for the Raiders.
As offensive coordinator, Kubiak helped engineer the Seahawks’ Super Bowl-winning offense that tallied 29.2 PPG (second) and a 49.0% success rate (ninth) last season, per RBSDM. Now, he takes the keys to a Raiders offense with young pieces in RB Ashton Jeanty and TE Brock Bowers, though Las Vegas’ star tight end will miss time with a knee injury.
The Raiders also drafted Indiana QB Fernando Mendoza with the #1 pick in the 2026 NFL Draft, but QB Kirk Cousins will man the first-string spot for now. Cousins logged only -0.04 EPA per play in 2025 (36th), but that’s still a notable upgrade over QB Geno Smith’s -0.16 (50th) with Las Vegas a season ago — via SumerSports.
Miami cut ties with almost any and everything in the offseason, beginning with head coach Mike McDaniel’s departure, who is now the Chargers’ offensive coordinator. The Dolphins also cut QB Tua Tagovailoa and WR Tyreek Hill, while WR Jaylen Waddle joined the Broncos.
QB Malik Willis was a free agency addition, and he produced an elite 0.44 EPA per play over 60 plays in 2025. During the 2024 campaign, Willis had 0.20 EPA per play over 82 plays. He truly should be an upgrade over Tua’s -0.05 EPA per play (38th) last season
However, this matchup will likely feature some of the worst wide receiver play you will see throughout 2026.
Bowers would have been the highlight, but he’s officially out. That leaves Las Vegas with WRs Tre Tucker, Jalen Nailor, and Jack Bech. Willis will throw to Dolphins WR Malik Washington and rookie wideouts Caleb Douglas and Chris Bell.
PrizePicks gives Cousins 207.5 projected pass yards, compared to Willis’ 179.5 projected passing yard total. This turns our attention to the best skill position players on the field: Dolphins RB De’Von Achane and Raiders RB Ashton Jeanty.
Kubiak led a Seahawks offense that featured a 49.7% rush-play rate (third-highest) a year ago, per TeamRankings. Further, Las Vegas had a big free agency acquisition in C Tyler Linderbaum, who was a Pro Bowler the last three seasons while giving up 1 QB hit (sixth) in 2025, per Pro Football Focus.
Jeanty is projected for 58.5 rush yards today, and rookie RB Mike Washington Jr. (27.5 projected rushing yards via PrizePicks) shined throughout the offseason. Adding to the agenda, the Dolphins allowed -0.046 EPA per rushing attempt (19th) and a 42.3% success rate on the ground (21st) in the 2025 season.
Achane is likely prepping for another busy day, projected for 69.5 rush yards and 27.5 receiving yards on PrizePicks. According to PlayerProfiler, the superstar halfback posted 14.9 carries and 5.3 targets per game last year, paired with a 70.8% opportunity share (eighth-highest).
The Raiders beefed up their front seven by signing LBs Nakobe Dean and Quay Walker in free agency, and 2025’s unit gave up only 3.9 yards per carry (fourth) and -0.090 EPA per rushing attempt (13th).
Each team could be reliant on the ground in Week 1, and Las Vegas looks to carry a much more favorable path to stacking rushing yards on Sunday afternoon.

Packers vs. Vikings Prediction on Winner for NFL Week 1
The NFC North is gearing up for another close race, as PrizePicks gives the Lions the shortest payout to win the division (2.63x), followed by the Packers (3.22x), Bears (4x), and Vikings (4.16x).
NFL Week 1 begins with a bang, as a key divisional clash between the Packers and Vikings carries season-long implications.
In the 2025 season, the Vikings totaled only 6.6 yards per passing attempt (25th), in large part due to QB J.J. McCarthy’s -0.17 EPA per play (53rd). That’s inexcusable when Minnesota has one of the best wide receivers in football, four-time All-Pro Justin Jefferson.
The Vikings went out and got JJettas some help in the offseason, signing QB Kyler Murray and WR Jauan Jennings. Murray’s first start in Minnesota is one of the most notable storylines of Sunday’s matchup, alongside Packers RB Josh Jacobs's absence on the commissioner’s exempt list.
Green Bay mostly watched players walk in the offseason, as WR Romeo Doubs joined the Patriots and LB Quay Walker signed with the Raiders. The Packers spent their top 2026 draft choice in the second round on South Carolina CB Brandon Cisse, but Sunday could be a “welcome to the NFL moment” in the rookie’s first start vs. Jefferson.
Packers LG Aaron Banks (knee) and RT Zach Bako-Bewele (knee) are both questionable, and that’s a big-time worry against a Vikings defensive front that posted the league’s highest pass rush win rate (46%) in 2025, per ESPN.
After yielding only 19.6 PPG (seventh-fewest) and 4.7 yards per play (third-fewest) a year ago, Minnesota’s unit should remain one of the NFL’s best with defensive coordinator Brian Flores still calling the plays.
However, DTs Jonathan Allen (Bengals) and Javon Hargrave (Packers) were notable offseason losses. The Vikings spent the #18 pick on Florida DT Caleb Banks, but he’s listed as a second string on the depth chart.
Ultimately, we can’t count on Minnesota’s 4.0 yards per carry allowed (eighth-fewest) from last season considering the changes at defensive tackle. Plus, the Vikings held a low 30% run stop rate (20th) in 2025.
Packers RB MarShawn Lloyd has only 6 rushing attempts in his career, but he’s projected 43.5 rush yards today, per PrizePicks. QB Jordan Love was comfortable leading Green Bay to a 23-6 win in his only appearance vs. the Vikings in 2025.
Furthermore, getting TE Tucker Kraft back in the lineup is a major addition, boosting this passing attack.
