Best College Football Anytime TD Scorer Picks for PrizePicks – Friday, October 16

Conference matchups are important in the Power Four because winning your conference could secure a playoff spot. It matters in the Group of Six, too, because the College Football Playoff committee has voted those teams into the CFP in the past.

With these matchups being so important, players have every incentive to reach the end zone, and Friday presents some prime opportunities to single out the ones who could score.

Anytime TDs on PrizePicks include rushing, receiving, recoveries, and returns. PrizePicks often list Anytime TDs as Demons and Goblins, meaning users can only select "More." For standard projections, users can select “More” or “Less.”

Demons are tougher to win but are the only way to get higher payouts. Meanwhile, Goblins are lower than a standard projection, but they are easier to win, so there is a lower payout.

All stats are via CFB Stats, PFF, and Game on Paper unless otherwise noted.

Memphis vs. Tulane Anytime TD Scorer Prediction – 7:30 p.m. ET

Memphis RB Jaylin Carter: 1.5 Anytime TDs (Demon)

Memphis is a team outside the Power Four that is exciting to watch. In the first weeks of American Conference play, they look like the best team, leading the conference in points per game (48.5) and points allowed per game (10.5).

The Tigers’ ability to run and pass effectively could earn them a conference championship. QB Marcus Stokes has been one of the nation's top signal-callers. Since Week 3, he ranks third in passing TDs (11) and ninth in completion percentage (73.1%). He's also one of three QBs with at least 10 passing TDs and 0 INTs.

RB Jaylin Carter can also be highly impactful in the run game. In Memphis’ first contest, he rushed for 183 yards and 4 TDs against Arkansas State. Over the following three outings, he regressed, averaging 77.6 rushing yards and 0 TDs.

Last week against UAB, however, he returned to form by way of 132 rushing yards and 2 TDs.

That's why this is another matchup where Carter could see similar results. UAB is second-to-last in the American Conference in rushing yards allowed per game (190.8).

Who is last? It’s Tulane, Memphis's opponent on Friday, which allows 218.6 rushing YPG to go along with 9 rushing TDs and 8 rushes for over 20 yards.

Add Jaylin Carter + Memphis to win to your PrizePicks lineup now.

Memphis TE Hunter Tipton: 0.5 Anytime TDs (Demon)

We mentioned how balanced the Memphis offense is between the pass and the run, which makes it a championship-caliber team.

What helps Stokes and the air attack is that he has multiple pass catchers who can make big plays. The Tigers have four players with at least 11 receptions and an average of 10.0 yards per catch or more.

One of them is Hunter Tipton, who's among the country’s most explosive TEs, ranking third at the position in yards per reception (19.7). His ability to gain separation helps him lead all FBS TEs in yards after the catch (236).

The Tulane defense could see the back of Tipton’s jersey all night as it struggles against the pass, ranking in the 21st percentile in EPA/dropback (+0.24) and the 23rd percentile in passing success rate (47.7%).

Add Hunter Tipton + Memphis to win to your PrizePicks lineup now.

Washington vs. Purdue Anytime TD Scorer Prediction – 8 p.m. ET

Purdue RB Fame Ijeboi: 0.5 Anytime TDs (Goblin)

Here’s something that hasn’t been said in a long time: Purdue has a good football team.

The past few years were difficult for the Boilermakers, but their third win last week matched their combined total over the past two years, and they also got their first conference victory since 2023.

Their success is coming from the offense, as they’ve scored 36+ points and gained 450+ yards in four games. Their problem is a defense that's ceded 49+ points twice.

That means Purdue may keep it close, which benefits Ijeboi. He’s having a great first year at Purdue, ranking 20th in rushing yards (540) and fifth in rushing TDs (9). The transfer from Minnesota had a huge game last week against his former team, going off for 193 yards and 3 TDs.

Ijeboi’s matchup against Washington looks like another opportunity to get into the end zone. The Huskies rank in the 56th percentile for rushing yards allowed per game (136.7) and is in the 38th percentile for opponent red-zone attempts (20).

That’s where Ijeboi excels: all 9 of his rushing TDs came from inside the 20.

Add Fame Ijeboi + Purdue to cover the spread to your PrizePicks lineup now.
