The 2026 U.S. Open got underway on Thursday at Shinnecock Hills on Long Island. However, due to a two-hour fog delay less than an hour into Round 1, 50 golfers — including leader Wyndham Clark (-6), did not finish the round.
The remaining 50 golfers will finish Round 1 early Friday morning, then all 155 golfers will follow with second-round play. Following the conclusion of Friday’s Round 2, the U.S. Open cut line will be set, with the top 60 golfers and ties making the cut to play the weekend, while the others will go home.
Below, we’ll break down the U.S. Open cut line projections and give three golfer picks to make or miss the cut when Friday’s Round 2 is complete, via PrizePicks Team Picks.
