2026 Mock Draft First Round Analysis
Fernando Mendoza has been the consensus No. 1 pick for months, and despite the Las Vegas Raiders signing veteran QB Kirk Cousins, there’s no reason to believe they will change course now.
The Tennessee Titans would likely love to get either David Bailey or Arvell Reese for head coach Robert Saleh, but Jeremiyah Love gives them an immediate impact player alongside second-year QB Cam Ward in the backfield.
The New Orleans Saints don’t have much depth at WR behind Chris Olave, so pairing him with another Ohio State wideout in Carnell Tate would make sense for second-year QB Tyler Shough.
Although injuries are certainly a concern for WR Jordyn Tyson, the Miami Dolphins are a team that has a timeline where they can be patient with him in hopes that he can achieve his ceiling under new head coach Jeff Hafley.
The Los Angeles Rams are in win-now mode with QB Matthew Stafford returning, and Sean McVay’s squad needs to begin thinking about adding another weapon with Davante Adams turning 34 years old this season, making Makai Lemon a reasonable choice.
Omar Cooper Jr. has seen his draft stock rise amid Indiana’s National Championship run, and the New York Jets desperately could use another receiver alongside star WR Garrett Wilson.
The Carolina Panthers improved their WR room during last year’s draft by taking WR Tetairoa McMillan in the first round, and they can bolster their group of weapons for QB Bryce Young by selecting TE Kenyon Sadiq here.
Regardless of who starts under center for the Cleveland Browns, they need to address the offensive line and the WR room. KC Concepcion’s versatility makes sense in a Todd Monken offense.

2026 Mock Draft Second Round Analysis
The New York Jets brought back veteran QB Geno Smith via trade, but they still need a potential long-term solution at the position. Ty Simpson could afford to sit most of the year or all of next season before getting a chance to start in 2027.
There’s certainly a chance the Raiders try to reunite Mendoza with WR Elijah Sarratt, though WR Denzel Boston brings more upside to a thin WR room.
Even though the Tampa Bay Buccaneers have viable options to replace WR Mike Evans at the WR spot, TE Eli Stowers gives QB Baker Mayfield a versatile weapon who can create mismatches.
Despite trading for WR DK Metcalf last offseason and acquiring Michael Pittman Jr. this offseason, the Pittsburgh Steelers could use a versatile wideout like Germie Bernard. Maybe another QB is an option here?
The Philadelphia Eagles seem to be potentially preparing for life after WR A.J. Brown, and WR Chris Bell brings some physicality to the position, though there are injury concerns for the Louisville receiver.
Following their Super Bowl victory, the Seattle Seahawks lost RB Kenneth Walker III in free agency to the Kansas City Chiefs. Although the Seahawks brought in RB Emanuel Wilson and still have RB Zach Charbonnet (who is recovering from a season-ending injury), Jadarian Price could be a fantastic addition to the backfield.
