Potential Outcomes

Lineups may contain both Player Picks and Team Picks, although special rules apply.

Currently, you may create a Power Play lineup that contains between 2-5 Player Picks, plus one (1) eligible Team Pick. Eligible Team Picks must be for MLB, NBA, or WNBA, and must be predictions for game winner, spread, or more/less total points.

Your Team Pick must be correct for your lineup to qualify for a payout; if your Team Pick is incorrect, you will not be able to earn a Leaderboard Win or Minimum Guarantee. However, it is still possible to earn a payout if your Team Pick is correct but you miss one or more of your Player Pick selections. Each pick type will be settled separately according to their own respective rules. The criteria below break down how each pick type is settled and which outcomes will result in a payout.

Player Picks Outcomes

There are two ways to win a Player Picks lineup:

1) Leaderboard Win

The highest score in your group will win a payout associated with your lineup type and number of picks selected.

The standard payout rate* for outscoring other members of your assigned group is as follows:‍‍6-Pick Power Play = 25x the entry fee6-Pick Flex Play  = 12.5x the entry fee5-Pick Power Play = 20x the entry fee5-Pick Flex Play = 10x the entry fee4-Pick Power Play = 10x the entry fee4-Pick Flex Play = 6x the entry fee3-Pick Power Play = 6x the entry fee3-Pick Flex Play = 3x the entry fee2-Pick Power Play = 3x the entry fee‍

• Some lineups may earn a different payout than the standard rates listed above. This usually happens when your lineup includes discounted projections or has multiple players from the same team or the same game. You can double check your payout rate by visiting the “My Lineups” tab in the app.‍

Group scoring is determined by a variable points system, which awards fantasy points based on which athletes are selected and the overall difficulty of their stat projections. Scoring is as follows:‍• Demon Projection Win → 1.05 points*• Standard Projection Win → 1 point*• Goblin Projection Win → 0.95 points• Discounted Projection Win → 0.95 points• Stack Projection Win -> 0.95 points• Unsettled Picks After Early Exit→ 0 points• DNP → 0 points• Tied Projection → 0 points• Reboot → 0 points• Loss (pick is incorrect) → 0 points

• All winning projections that are part of a same player stack will be scored at 0.95 points, even if they would normally earn a higher point total as a standalone pick.

If your score is tied with other players, the payout you receive will be equal to the contest payout divided by the total number of winners.

2) Minimum Guarantee

If your selections result in a winning lineup, and you DIDN’T use the “Early Payout” slider you’ll earn a Minimum Guarantee payout that you don’t have to split with other winners!

There can be multiple winning lineups in a given group. In that case, all winning lineups will earn a Minimum Guarantee payout.

Standard payout rates are as follows:

Power Play: All picks must be correct to win• 6-Pick Win = 37.5x the entry fee• 5-Pick Win= 20x the entry fee• 4-Pick Win = 10x the entry fee• 3-Pick Win = 6x the entry fee• 2-Pick Win= 3x the entry fee‍

Flex Play: Lineups can still win even if one or two picks are incorrect• 6 of 6 correct = 25x the entry fee• 5 of 6 correct = 2X the entry fee• 4 of 6 correct = 0.4X the entry fee• 5 of 5 correct = 10x the entry fee• 4 of 5 correct = 2x the entry fee• 3 of 5 correct = 0.4x the entry fee• 4 of 4 correct = 5x the entry fee• 3 of 4 correct = 1.5x the entry fee• 3 of 3 correct = 3x the entry fee• 2 of 3 correct = 1x the entry fee

IMPORTANT: If your lineup qualifies for both the High Score and Minimum Guarantee payouts described above, you will receive whichever amount is higher between the two. Payouts do not stack.‍Can I end my lineup before my games are finished?

Most lineups may be canceled within five minutes of submission, although there are some limitations (see our Terms of Service for more details). If you cancel an eligible lineup within five minutes of submitting, you will receive a full refund.

If you cancel your lineup before any of your games begin, you will not be eligible to receive a High Score or Minimum Guarantee payout.

Once your refund window has passed, you may see the “Early Payout” slider appear at the bottom of your lineup view. This will allow you to exit out of your lineup before all your picks are final. While this will not result in a full refund, you will be able to recoup a portion of your Entry Fee if you choose to use this feature.

If the slider isn’t there, that means the lineup is not eligible.

If you decide to exit your lineup early, it’s still possible to earn a High Score payout as well. You’ll receive full points for any correct picks. However, any unsettled picks that go on to win after you exit your lineup will not contribute to your score or your Minimum Guarantee payout, so choose wisely!

A few things to know:

• Early exits are a promotional offering available only for qualifying lineups
• Payout amounts update in real-time based on how your lineup is performing
• Factors like your current score (based on our scoreboard), the number of correct picks in your lineup, and the number of remaining unsettled picks in your lineup will influence the value of your payout
• Once a game in your lineup has started, it will not be eligible for an early exit until relevant stats are compiled from at least two athletes in your lineup who are from different teams
• If you exit early, your lineup will no longer be active, meaning you give up any chance at a bigger payout if your remaining picks go on to hit
• PrizePicks reserves the right to enable or disable this feature at any time at their sole discretion‍Not every lineup is eligible for an early exit.

That includes:

• Lineups that are submitted using Bonus Balance
• Lineups that include discounted projections or other special promotional offers
• Lineups that contain specific leagues or stat types that cannot be scored in real-time
• Lineups that include both Player and Team Picks

However, lineups that are ineligible for an early exit may still be able to receive part or all of your entry fee back if you are within your refund window. ‍Why can’t I exit my lineup right now?

Sometimes you might have a lineup that is eligible for an early exit, but it doesn’t meet certain conditions at the exact time when you’re attempting to use the slider.

You may not see the “Early Payout” slider on lineups that would normally be considered eligible if:

• Stat updates for an athlete in your lineup are currently paused
• Relevant stats have not yet been compiled from at least two athletes in your lineup who are from different teams
• The game is nearly finished, limiting potential outcomes
• ‍

We’ll re-enable early exit offers automatically if the conditions above are no longer impacting your lineup.

Team and Culture Picks Outcomes

If you hold onto your Team or Culture Pick until the closing time listed in your order details, there can only be two outcomes; you will either be correct or incorrect.

If you are correct, you’ll receive the payout associated with your order as seen on the detail screen for your entry. If you are incorrect, you will not receive a payout.

However, you can also choose to exit out of your pick before it reaches a conclusion on its own. In this case, your payout amount will depend on whether the value of your pick increased or decreased from when you placed your order until now. This information can also be seen on the detail screen for your entry.

Free Picks Outcomes

Rewards for Free2Play Contests will vary. Depending on how many picks you get right, you may be rewarded with promotional offers like Payout Boosts or Bonus Lineups. For the largest Jackpot contests, you can earn real money rewards of up to $1 Million!

Details for individual contests can be found by tapping the information icon in the app.

All real money rewards will be credited directly to your PrizePicks account, where they can be withdrawn using an approved payment method.

Settling FAQ

Why hasn’t my pick settled with an official outcome yet?

Picks generally settle as soon as the official ruling is finalized following the conclusion of the game or event. We may need some additional time to process pick results on days that are extra busy.

Player Pick lineups typically require ALL picks in your group to reach a conclusion before settling, not just yours.

Team and Culture Picks must reach their preset closing time, as well as the payout date shown on the details screen for your pick.

Why hasn’t my balance changed after a correct pick?

If your account balance has not updated even after your pick has settled, please fully close and reopen your app.
