NFL DFS Picks for Week 3: Can Bijan Robinson, Jonathan Taylor Stay Hot?

Falcons RB Bijan Robinson and Colts RB Jonathan Taylor both led their teams to victories in Week 2. With weak opponents on the docket for both of them in Week 3, they have the potential to produce some gaudy rushing stats. There are also three wide receivers who are in a position to rack up yards through the air.

Below, we'll discuss Robinson and Taylor, and get into more of the top NFL DFS picks for Week 3 , including five player picks for PrizePicks.

Falcons RB Bijan Robinson vs. Panthers Projection: 80.5 Rush Yards

  • Robinson turned 22 carries into 143 yards against the Vikings in Week 2. It came on the heels of his disappointing 24 rushing yards vs. the Buccaneers in Week 1.
  • Not only is the Falcons’ star RB averaging 3.1 yards after contact, but his 41.2% broken tackle rate is the top mark in the NFL.
  • Last season, the Panthers allowed the most rushing yards per game (179.8) in the league. They have allowed the seventh-most (141.0) through two games this year.
  • Robinson racked up 15 carries, 95 yards, and a pair of TDs against the Panthers in Week 6 last season. In Week 18, he ran 28 times for 170 yards and 2 TDs in the rematch.

Colts RB Jonathan Taylor vs. Titans Projection: 89.5 Receiving Yards

  • The Colts are off to a 2-0 start, and a big part of their success has been their rushing attack. They're second in the NFL in rushing attempts, with Taylor amassing 43 carries.
  • Last week against a good Broncos defense, the former second-round pick ran 25 times for 165 yards.
  • Taylor is averaging 3.9 yards after contact and 71.6% of his yards have come after contact.
  • According to Next Gen Stats, Taylor has two of the top-11 fastest top speeds of the season. Both came in Week 2. Last season, he also had two of the top-17 fastest speeds.

Seahawks WR Jaxon Smith-Njigba vs. Saints Projection: 69.5 Receiving Yards

  • JSN was targeted 13 times in Week 1 and 9 more times in Week 2. That helped him produce at least 103 receiving yards in both games.
  • As the focal point of Seattle's offense, the former first-round pick has accounted for 43.4% of the 'Hawks' targets. He has also been targeted on 41.5% of his routes.
  • Smith-Njigba had an average depth of target of 5.9 yards during his rookie season. Last season, he amped up that number to 8.4 yards. Through two games this year, he has an average depth of target of 11.7 yards.
  • Facing 49ers backup QB Mac Jones last Sunday, the Saints allowed 279 passing yards. San Francisco's WR1 Jauan Jennings caught 5 of his 10 targets for 89 yards and 1 TD.
  • New Orleans has already allowed 2 receptions of at least 40 yards this season, tied for the third-most in the league.

Bears WR Rome Odunze vs. Cowboys Projection– 61.5 Receiving Yards

  • Odunze let the Bears with 11 targets in Week 2,helping him finish with 7 receptions for 128 yards and 2 TDs.
  • The second-year pro had 3 receptions of at least 20 yards against the Lions and has an average depth of target of 13.7 yards forthe season. In his rookie campaign, his average depth of target was 13.0 yards.
  • The Washington product has accounted for 29.9%of the Bears’ targets and 45.8% of their air yards through two games.
  • Last week, the Cowboys allowed Giants QB RussellWilson to throw for 450 yards. Gians WRs Malik Nabers and Wan’Dale Robinsonboth finished with at least 140 receiving yards.
  • Dallas could once again be without CB Daron Bland, who is considered as week-to-week with a foot sprain.

Chargers WR Keenan Allen vs. Broncos Projection: 4.5 Receptions

  • Following a down 2024 campaign with the Bears, Allen returned to the Chargers, the team for whom he played his first 11 NFL seasons.
  • When he last wore Chargers blue in 2023, the cagey vet had at least 5 receptions in 11 of his 13 games. In 10 of those games, he finished with at least 6 catches.
  • Back in familiar surroundings, Allen has at least 5 receptions and 61 receiving yards in both games this season.
  • Allen has seen at least 7 targets in both games this season, leaving him with a 27.9% target share. Last year, he only accounted for 23.0% of the Bears’ targets.
  • The Chargers have a dangerous top wide receiver in Ladd McConkey, who had over 1,100 receiving yards in his rookie season. They also boast a deep threat in WR Quentin Johnston, who is averaging 18.8 yards per reception. That often makes it difficult for opposing defenses to key in on Allen.
