Top Week 2 NFL DFS Picks: RBs Jahmyr Gibbs, Breece Hall Primed to Shine

Jahmyr Gibbs could be among your top Week 2 NFL DFS picks.

In his first action of the 2025 NFL season, New York Jets RB Breece Hall turned 19 carries into 107 yards, making him a Week 1 fantasy football darling. Hall has the potential to be again busy in Week 2, which could keep him near the top of the rushing leader board. Lions RB Jahmyr Gibbs could also shine, but in a different way.

Below, we'll discuss Hall and Gibbs, and get into more of the top NFL DFS picks for Week 2, including five player picks for PrizePicks.

NFL DFS Week 2 Predictions, NFL Picks for Sunday

Lions RB Jahmyr Gibbs vs. Bears Projection: 25.5 Receiving Yards

  • Gibbs was only given 9 carries in Week 1, compared to 11 carries for fellow Lions RB David Montgomery.
  • The former Alabama star made more of an impact in the passing game, catching all 10 of his targets. However, he finished with a modest 31 receiving yards.
  • Gibbs recorded at least 26 receiving yards in 10 of 17 games last season. He also had seven games with at least 5 targets.
  • The Bears allowed 6.29 yards per target to running backs last season, the tenth-highest mark in the league.
  • In two games against the Bears last season, Gibbs posted 6 receptions for 62 yards.
  • Vikings RB Aaron Jones caught all 3 of his targets for 44 yards and 1 TD against the Bears in Week 1.

Jets RB Breece Hall vs. Bills Projection: 56.5 Rush Yards

  • There was plenty of hype surrounding Jets RB Braelon Allen during the summer, but he received just 6 rushing attempts in Week 1. While he scored a touchdown, he finished with only 9 rushing yards.
  • Hall was much more difficult to bring down, averaging 3.4 yards after contact against the Steelers. He finished with 2 broken tackles after accumulating just 7 all of last season.
  • The Jets’ offensive line also made things easier for the former Iowa State standout: He averaged 2.9 yards before contact in Week 1, compared to his average of 2.1 yards before contact last year.
  • The Bills were torched on the ground in Week 1, giving up 169 rushing yards on 18 carries to Ravens RB Derrick Henry.

Jaguars RB Travis Etienne Jr. vs. Bengals Projection: 57.5 Rush Yards

  • Etienne demolished the Panthers on Sunday, rushing 16 times for 143 yards.
  • The fourth-year back proved to be elusive, averaging 5.8 yards after contact.
  • The Jaguars thinned out their running back depth chart Monday, trading Tank Bigsby to the Eagles.
  • Bigsby dealt a significant blow to Etienne’s workload last season, finishing the year with 168 carries, compared to 150 for Etienne.
  • The top running back options behind Etienne now are two rookies in Bhayshul Tuten and LeQuint Allen Jr. Tuten was drafted in the fourth round, while Allen was selected in the seventh.

Cowboys WR George Pickens vs. Giants – 53.5 Receiving Yards

  • Pickens was only targeted 4 times in Week 1, finishing with 3 receptions for 30 yards.
  • While he didn’t receive a ton of targets, Pickens had an average depth of target of 13.8 yards.
  • The Giants have one standout cornerback in Paulson Adebo, who held Commanders WR Terry McLaurin to 2 catches for 27 yards last week.
  • The Giants don’t have great depth at cornerback behind Adebo, which contributed to Commanders WR Deebo Samuel posting 7 receptions for 77 yards.
  • Adebo should spend most of his time covering Cowboys WR CeeDee Lamb, leaving Pickens with an opportunity to shine against the Giants' second- and third-best corners.
  • The former Steelers star has averaged at least 15.3 yards per reception in each of his first three seasons in the NFL.

Browns WR Cedric Tillman vs. Ravens Projection: 39.5 Receiving Yards

  • The Browns gave Tillman 8 targets in Week 1, which he turned into 5 receptions for 52 yards and 1 TD.
  • The 25-year-old had a standout performance in Week 8 versus the Ravens last season, catching 7 of 9 targets for 99 yards and 2 TDs.
  • Browns QB Joe Flacco attempted 45 passes against the Bengals on Sunday. It was out of necessity as running backs Dylan Sampson and Jerome Ford combined for just 37 rushing yards on 18 carries.
  • Cleveland should be forced to throw a lot in Week 2 as they try to keep pace with the Ravens' high-octane offense. The Ravens scored 40 points in a loss to the Bills on Sunday.
  • Reigning MVP Josh Allen threw for 394 yards in his Bills' epic matchup with Baltimore.

Make NFL Picks, Win Cash on PrizePicks

Some of the top running backs in the league are in a position to thrive in Week 2, including Gibbs and Hall. Etienne is also poised for a hefty workload with Bigsby no longer in town. Outside of the running back position, Pickens and Tillman are two wide receivers who could exceed expectations.
