Start ‘Em, Sit ‘Em NFL Week 10: Jaxson Dart vs. Caleb Williams in QB Clash

Look, being a young QB in the NFL is hard. Some live up to their respective draft slots and prove to be up-and-comers, whereas others can’t rise to the occasion. Giants QB Jaxson Dart and Bears QB Caleb Williams look like the former, and they’ll face each other in Week 10.

The Sunday matchup (1:00 p.m. ET on FOX) sees 2-7 New York host 5-3 Chicago. With the Giants looking to snap a three-game losing streak and the Bears eyeing a playoff push, there’s plenty at stake for each former first-round signal-caller.

That begs the question: Is Dart or Williams a better fantasy play? Let’s break down our Start ‘Em, Sit ‘Em for NFL Week 10 and pit these QBs against one another.

Start ‘Em, Sit ‘Em Week 10: Jaxson Dart or Caleb Williams?

Why Start Jaxson Dart?

  • In his six starts, Dart has 1,426 total yards and 15 TDs. Over a full season, that extrapolates to over 4,000 all-purpose yards and 42 scores.
  • In Weeks 4-9, Dart is fantasy QB3 with 137 points scored. He trails only Broncos QB Bo Nix (142.3) and Chiefs QB Patrick Mahomes (149.2) in that span.
  • Dart leads all QBs in rush attempts (49), yards (251) and TDs (5) since taking over as the Giants’ starter.
  • According to SumerSports, Dart’s 21 total rush EPA ranks second to only Texans QB C.J. Stroud.
  • Regression to the mean in the drop category could help Dart, when and if it arrives. Per Patton Analytics, he’s the 10th-most-impacted QB by dropped passes.
  • Dart routinely comes through when needed. Among qualified QBs, he ranks third in third-down EPA/play and fourth in third-down success rate.
  • Even if Chicago makes life difficult for Dart, he’s built to adapt. His create rate (plays outside the pocket or passes beyond first read) is one of the best in the sport.
  • The Bears have allowed the 10th-most fantasy points per game (19.7) to QBs, fueled by a ranking of ninth in most per-week rushing yards (22.3).

Jaxson Dart PrizePicks Projections: 217.5 Pass Yards, 41.5 Rush Yards

Why Start Caleb Williams?

  • Williams has upped his passing TD rate from 3.6% as a rookie to 4.7% as a sophomore. He also has a pair of rushing TDs after failing to log one in 2024.
  • Through nine weeks, Williams ranks as fantasy QB10. A 47-42 win over the Bengals in Week 9 saw him pace the QB field with 36.7 points.
  • Is last year’s No. 1 overall pick now a do-it-all threat? In the aforementioned game, he became the first player ever to have 275+ passing yards, 50+ rushing yards and 20+ receiving yards in a single contest.
  • According to TruMedia, Williams has 28 explosive pass completions already. New York has football’s third-worst defense for explosive plays, via Jefe’s Handiwork.
  • If there’s one thing Williams will do, it’s extend a play. His 3.07-second average time to throw leads all passers with 10+ attempts.
  • Only three teams — the Commanders, Bengals, and Cowboys — have yielded more fantasy points to QBs than the Giants.
  • New York’s defense isn’t as good as advertised, ranking 23rd in both EPA/play and EPA/pass, per SumerSports.

Caleb Williams PrizePicks Projections: 229.5 Pass Yards, 16.5 Rush Yards, 1.5 Pass TDs

Week 10 Start ‘Em, Sit ‘Em Verdict: Start Jaxson Dart

Both Jaxson Dart and Caleb Williams are formidable fantasy options for Week 10. Neither the Bears nor Giants has a stout defense, which could foster a productive QB environment on Sunday.

With that said, Dart is on an absolute tear. He has a rushing TD in each of his last four games and shows few signs of slowing down. The 22-year-old has found the end zone at least twice in every game he’s started. That’s a rare nose for pay dirt.

Williams is coming off a crazy-productive stretch in his own right, but his dominance spans all of one week. He remains one of the least-accurate passers in the sport, and he has just two 2025 outings with star-level production

All of that makes Dart the potentially wiser pick in this Week 10 head-to-head clash.
