Spurs vs. Thunder Prediction, Spread Preview for Game 7 – Saturday, May 30

In Game 5, the Spurs just couldn’t seem to slow down the Thunder, as Oklahoma City connected on 48.2% of its shots on the night in a 127-114 win. However, despite facing elimination in Game 6, the Spurs shot the ball extremely well out of the gate and didn’t let their foot off the gas in a dominant win to force Saturday’s Game 7.

It was a very balanced evening of offensive production for San Antonio, who had five players finish in double figures. C Victor Wembanyama recorded his third double-double of the series with 28 points (10-of-21 shooting) and 10 rebounds to pace the Spurs.

As impressive as the Spurs were scoring the basketball, their defensive effort was truly the story in Game 6. San Antonio held Oklahoma City’s lethal scoring attack to 37.2% shooting from the field, and the Thunder were held under 30 points in three of the four quarters.

Star guard Shai Gilgeous-Alexander was neutralized to the tune of a series-low 15 points, including 0-of-5 from deep, and dished out just 4 assists. The back-to-back MVP just couldn’t get many open looks and was shut down by a ferocious San Antonio defensive effort.

Looking ahead to Game 7, the Thunder will be without SF Jalen Williams as he continues to deal with a left hamstring injury, according to the NBA’s official injury report. Williams did come off the bench in Game 6 after missing Games 3-5 but only scored 1 point in 10 minutes.
