It’s time to get ready for the Week 3 NFL matchups, after 2 weeks in the books we can start to see these teams true identities in 2025, as we get a bigger sample size.

While we whiffed on the Jets and QB Justin Fields last week, now we've got more data to work off of as we dive deep into the matchups insights for our NFL Week 3 predictions for PrizePicks and NFL DFS in our Cheat Sheet.

Only six teams that start the year 0-3 have ever made the playoffs — and the Chiefs are staring right down that barrel as they head into Sunday Night Football vs. the Giants.

Week 3 isn't just pivotal because of records, it's also riddled with injuries that could reshape the DFS landscape. QBs Brock Purdy, Jayden Daniels, J.J. McCarthy, Justin Fields, and TE George Kittle are all banged up, and their statuses will have ripple effects across both player projections and DFS Lineups.

Best RB Matchups: Week 3

Chiefs RB Isaiah Pacheco vs. Giants Defense

The New York Giants have fielded one of the worst rushing defenses in the NFL through two weeks. They’re allowing 177.5 rushing yards per game — the second-most in the league — and are surrendering a brutal 5.92 yards per carry, ranking 31st out of 32 teams.

They’ve already allowed four rushing touchdowns, tied for the most in the NFL, and opponents are gaining 3.25 yards after contact per attempt, the second-worst figure in the league, per PFF.

Overall, they rank third-worst in total yards after contact allowed.

This sets up a strong bounce-back opportunity for Chiefs RB Isaiah Pacheco and the struggling 0-2 Chiefs offense. Pacheco is averaging over 3.1 yards per attempt on 15 carries, and over 2.5 yards after contact per attempt — quietly setting the stage for a potential breakout against a soft run front.

Week 3 PrizePicks Pick: Isaiah Pacheco – 40.5 Rush Yards

Chargers RB Omarion Hampton vs. Broncos

A surprise downturn from their porous 2024 campaign, the Denver Broncos defense in 2025 has struggled against the run. They’re giving up 119 rushing yards per game and 4.5 yards per carry, ranking fourth-worst in yards after contact allowed with 174 yards conceded after initial contact, per PFF.

The Chargers backfield looks to take full advantage. First-round pick Omarion Hampton out of North Carolina has flashed early, averaging nearly 3.0 yards after contact per attempt. His elusiveness has stood out when he gets in space— he's forced six missed tackles on just 23 carries, putting him top 10 in the NFL in forced missed tackles.

Another wrinkle is QB Justin Herbert's mobility — the veteran quarterback currently ranks top 10 in both designed runs and scramble yards, introducing a new layer to the Chargers’ ground attack.

Week 3 PrizePicks Pick: Omarion Hampton – 40.5 Rush Yards; Justin Herbert – 20.5 Rush Yards

Best WR vs. CB Matchups to Target: Week 3

Rams WR Davante Adams vs. Eagles CB Adoree' Jackson

The Eagles secondary has been vulnerable this season,, especially Adoree' Jackson, who ranks 95th out of 104 qualifying cornerbacks in coverage grade, via PFF. He’s allowing over a 100.0 passer rating and more than 16 yards per reception.

Now, he’ll be tasked with shadowing Davante Adams, who has returned to his vintage Green Bay form.

Adams is averaging nearly 80 yards per game, posting 16 yards per reception, and has already drawn 20 targets on the season — top 10 among all wide receivers. With Jackson struggling and the Eagles often leaving their corners on an island, Adams is in a prime position for another explosive performance.

Week 3 PrizePicks Pick: Davante Adams – 61.5 Receiving Yards

Raiders WR Jakobi Meyers vs. Commanders CB Marshon Lattimore or CB Mike Sainristil

Raiders WR Jakobi Meyers has quickly emerged as QB Geno Smith’s go-to weapon in Las Vegas. He ranks top 10 in receptions, targets, and receiving yards to start the year.

Meyers is averaging nearly 12 yards per reception and 7 yards after the catch, catching 14-of-21 targets for 165 total yards.

He’ll draw a split matchup between veteran CB Marshon Lattimore and slot corner Mike Sainristil.

Lattimore has struggled out of the gate, allowing nearly a 100 passer rating and over 16 yards per reception — ranking 94th out of 104 corners in coverage via PFF.

Sainristil has been worse: he’s allowing a 135 passer rating, nearly 10 yards per reception, and has surrendered 7 catches through two games. Meyers has a path to cruise in this matchup vs. the Commanders, regardless of where he lines up.

Week 3 PrizePicks Pick: Jakobi Meyers – 63.5 Receiving Yards / 5.5 Receptions

Best OL/DL Matchups to Target: Week 3

Falcons DL vs. Panthers OL

The Carolina Panthers offensive line is already in trouble heading into Week 2. Panthers C Austin Corbett and starting G Robert Hunt have both been placed on IR.

Their replacements have struggled — Chandler Zavala has already surrendered one sack, drawn a penalty, and allowed three pressures in just 23 snaps at guard. LT Ikem Ekwonu has allowed 8 pressures on just 85 snaps, ranking outside the top 75 among qualifying tackles.

Now, sixth-round center Cade Mays is projected to start, despite playing just 17 snaps this season at the position and already being tagged for one pressure and one penalty.

The Falcons’ rookie duo of Leonard Floyd and James Pearce Jr. is poised to take advantage.

First-round EDGE James Pearce Jr. out of Tennessee generated eight pressures, six hurries, and a sack on just 30 pass rush snaps. Fellow first-rounder Leonard Floyd from Georgia already has a sack under his belt. LB Divine Deablo rounds out the group as an elite blitzer, ranking top 10 among all linebackers in pressure rate.

This Falcons front seven is positioned well to feast on a depleted Panthers interior.

Week 3 PrizePicks Pick: Panthers QB Bryce Young 212.5 Pass Yards or 30.5 Yards Longest Completion

Colts OL vs. Titans DL

The Colts offensive line is shaping up to be one of the NFL’s top units.

LG Quenton Nelson has yet to allow a sack or draw a single penalty this season. RT Braden Smith has also been perfect in pass protection, giving up zero sacks and just one penalty. C Tanor Bortolini has mirrored that discipline, allowing neither a sack nor a flag thus far.

This front line already faced elite pass rushers like Bradley Chubb (Miami Dolphins) and Nik Bonitto (Denver Broncos) and held their ground. Now they face a Tennessee Titans defensive front that lacks punch.

The Titans pass-rush is not all that impressive. Dre’Mont Jones has recorded just one total pressure and no sacks through two weeks. Arden Key has also failed to record a sack, logging just three pressures and ranking outside the top 50 at the position.

On the interior, Sebastian Joseph-Day has only managed two hurries and is still sackless. Expect the Colts have a huge edge in the trenches on paper.

Week 3 PrizePicks Pick: Colts QB Daniel Jones 210.5 Pass Yards / RB Jonathan Taylor 89.5 Rush Yards

Best TE Matchup for Week 3

Commanders TE Zach Ertz vs. Raiders Defense

Veteran TE Zach Ertz has picked up right where he left off in 2024. Through the first two games of the season, he ranks top 10 in targets, routes run, receptions, and receiving touchdowns among tight ends.

He’s already hauled in 9 catches for 123 yards and 2 TDs, with a stellar 135.0 passer rating when targeted.

This week, he’ll face a Raiders defense that’s been middle of the pack against the tight end position — allowing 41.5 receiving yards per game. If Ertz continues to be a go-to weapon in the red zone, another productive outing is well within reach.

Jayden Daniels will not play this weekend, which may increase a short yardage workload and short-depth routes for the vet Zac Ertz to become the safety blanket for QB Marcus Mariota.
