We’re getting ready for tip-off next Tuesday night (October 24) and the exciting double header. That’s why we put together this NBA 2023 season preview with the top season-long DFS projections and picks.
The 2023 NBA season begins Tuesday, October 24 with a thrilling double header.

- Suns vs. Warriors - 10:00pm EDT
Last year’s postseason action will be hard to top but with all of the offseason drama and trades this season is going to be a roller coaster the whole way through. The Damian Lillard trade is sure to shake up the outlook of both conferences and the Harden saga continues as he made his beef clear with the 76ers.
On top of all that, other superstars around the league made huge moves. Chris Paul joined rival Steph Curry and the Warriors, Bradley Beal is a Phoenix Sun, and so many more moves it would be tough to mention them all. So buckle up and lock in your NBA season-long DFS picks, the roller coaster begins October 24th.

Top NBA Season-long DFS Projections
Points Per Game AVG
Lebron James - SF, LAL
“The Chosen One” returns for his 21st season in the NBA. The Cleveland-born NBA star is a living legend, regardless of whether critics call him the GOAT or not. Despite the disappointing Lakers run last postseason, The King helped push them farther than what many thought possible.
Last season he averaged 28.9 PPG which is nothing short of incredible as a 20 year veteran. This year he’s projected to average 27.1 PPG. Last year he passed Kareem as number 1 on the all-time scoring list so don’t be surprised if he tries to extend that gap to something unattainable in year 21.

Nikola Jokic - C, DEN
It’s crazy to think that the best player in the NBA doesn’t even like to play basketball that much. But with Nikola Jokic, that may be the case. The international NBA superstar and former MVP spent most of his offseason riding horses in Serbia after trying to leave Denver before the championship parade.
But don’t let that fool you. The Joker’s impact on the floor is unmatched in today’s NBA. Last year he averaged 24.5 PPG on his route to a 5-game NBA title victory over a very overmatched Heat squad. If the Nuggets hope to repeat, Jokic will need to maintain this high level of play.

Rebounds Per Game AVG
Victor Wembanyama - F/C, SAS
The most anticipated prospect in more than a generation. Since Lebron took the league by storm in ‘03, there truly hasn’t been a hotter or more hyped rookie than the young French big man, Victor “Wemby” Wembanyama.
It’s hard to gauge just how much of an impact he’ll have in the early stages of the season but through the first few games of the preseason, Wemby is already looking like a serious problem on both sides of the floor. Standing at 7’3 (7’5 with shoes) and a monstrous wingspan of just over 8 feet, we wouldn’t be surprised if he got every rebound for the Spurs all season

Anthony Davis - PF, LAL
It’s the same old story for AD. If he can stay healthy, this Lakers team is his and it’s hard to beat. But that truly has been the issue throughout the perennial all-star’s career. When he’s on the floor, he’s dominant. When he’s not, he's off the court for a while.
That has certainly affected his career numbers and should be taken into account when placing entries. But last year the veteran forward averaged 12.5 RPG, slightly higher than his projection for this season so there’s a lot to consider.

3PT Made Per Game AVG
Steph Curry - PG, GSW
Is there even any doubt at this point that Steph is the GOAT shooter? This man literally changed the game of basketball in just a few seasons with the warriors. If you’re older than 25 it’s hard to imagine anyone yelling something besides “Kobe!” when throwing something into the trash. But kids these days are all about “Curry!”.
Last year, the sharpshooter averaged 4.9 3s a game, nearly the same as his projection of 4.8 this year. Even with age, Steph doesn’t show signs of slowing his game down. It’s hard to ever count out the “Dubs” when Stpeh is on the court. Keep an eye out for Steph to lead the Warriors on another deep run this year behind his 3PT abilities.

Devin Booker - SG, PHX
There's a reason Drake said “wet like I’m Book”. It’s because this kid doesn’t miss. With a career high of 70 points, it’s no wonder why people have compared him to Kobe in his young career.
Last year he averaged 2.1 3s a game, exactly the same as his projection for this season. This year, however, he’ll have another all-star besides KD to split shots with as Bradley Beal joined the Suns this offseason.
