Pacers vs. Thunder: 2025 NBA Finals Game 2 Stats Preview

The Indiana Pacers continue to pull off major comebacks and upsets in their postseason run. The Pacers were down and never took the lead throughout Game 1, until they went on a run late in the fourth quarter, which set up the game-winning basket from Tyrese Haliburton.

Haliburton had a stat-line of 14 points (on 46.2% shooting, 10 rebounds, and six assists. While that might be a bit underwhelming for his standards, the All-NBA guard hit the most important shot of the game, giving his team a pivotal victory to start the Finals.

Thunder PG Shai Gilgeous-Alexander had 38 points, but he had to attempt 30 shots to get to that mark. SF Jalen Williams struggled shooting in Game 1, making only 6-of-19 field goal attempts. PF Chet Holmgren also struggled, with just six points on 2-of-9 shooting.

Interestingly, the Thunder went with a small starting lineup, moving C Isaiah Hartenstein to the bench in favor of SG Cason Wallace, who played 33 minutes but didn’t contribute much — then Haliburton shot the game-winner over him. Hartenstein finished with nine points and nine rebounds in 17 minutes.

However, when the Pacers scored only 45 points in the first half, the Thunder looked to have solid control of the game.

Despite some of the offensive struggles from the Thunder, they dominated the majority of the game. They forced the Pacers into turning the ball over 24 times – and eight in the first quarter, which often would lead to a win.

Game 2 will be key for the Thunder to get a win, as they look not to lose both of their first two home games in Oklahoma City.
