1. Los Angeles Dodgers
- Record: 61-36
- World Series Winner: 2.85x
- National League Champion: 2.04x
The Dodgers were as advertised in the first half of the 2026 season. In fact, Los Angeles hadn’t been swept in a series before being swept by the Arizona Diamondbacks right before the All-Star break.
While it isn’t ideal to go into the break losing four of their last five games, it’s hard not to like the defending champions being on pace for 102 wins.
After all, this is a team that ranks first in wRC+ (115), while coming in third in runs (506) in the majors.
This is all with prized offseason acquisition Kyle Tucker having an up-and-down first half. Despite a .244 batting average and just 7 home runs, the numbers are much better than they appear. According to Baseball Savant, Tucker has an expected batting average (xBA) of .262 (68th percentile) and a 12.6% walk rate (85th percentile).
With a starting rotation headlined by Shohei Ohtani and Yoshinobu Yamamoto, it’s hard not to like the Dodgers’ chances come October.

2. Milwaukee Brewers
- Record: 59-37
- World Series Winner: 8.33x
- National League Champion: 5x
A year after finishing the year with the best record in baseball (97-65), the Brewers have been one of the most well-rounded teams in baseball throughout the first half of the season. This is a team that absolutely rakes at the plate while remaining dominant on the mound to shut down opponents.
SP Jacob Misiorowski has taken the league by storm, leading the majors in ERA (1.62) and strikeouts (167). In fact, Misiorowski is striking out opposing batters at a 39.6% rate, which ranks in the 99th percentile.
The Brewers’ lineup, headlined by 1B Jake Bauers, C William Contreras, and 2B Brice Turang, has scored the fourth-most runs (489) and registered the fifth-most hits (832) across the majors. With their combination of hitting and pitching, the Brewers will be a tough out when the postseason rolls around.

3. Tampa Bay Rays
- Record: 56-38
- World Series Winner: 12.5x
- American League Champion: 5.26x
After missing the playoffs in each of the last two campaigns, the Rays weren’t expected to compete at the top of the American League East. However, this young group didn’t miss a beat throughout the first half and has the most wins (56) in the American League, currently three games ahead of the Yankees in the AL East.
The Rays rank seventh in wRC+ (105) and third in batting average (.259) across the majors.
3B Junior Caminero has blossomed into a superstar over the past two seasons and has slugged the fourth-most home runs (28) in the league this season. Caminero also boasts a 51.8% hard-hit rate, which ranks in the 93rd percentile among MLB hitters.
Tampa Bay also has an impressive starting rotation that features All-Star arms Nick Martinez and Drew Rasmussen, in addition to Shane McClanahan. On top of that, star closer Bryan Baker can shut the door in the ninth inning, making this a very formidable group.
Pick the Rays to win the 2026 World Series on PrizePicks
4. Philadelphia Phillies
- Record: 54-43
- World Series Winner: 11.11x
- National League Champion: 6.66x
The Phillies’ 9-19 start seems like a lifetime ago. General manager Dave Dombrowski certainly made the right move by firing manager Rob Thomson and replacing him with Don Mattingly.
Since Mattingly took over the reins, Philadelphia has produced a 45-24 record and has been one of the better teams in baseball.
It’s also no secret that re-signing DH Kyle Schwarber was a no-brainer. After all, Schwarber leads the majors in home runs (32) at the All-Star break and nearly won the Home Run Derby during All-Star Week at Citizens Bank Park.
The top of the Phillies’ starting rotation is electric with Zach Wheeler, Christopher Sanchez, and Jesus Luzardo dominating this season. Combine that with an elite closer in Jhoan Duran, and the Phillies do have an impressive group.
However, the biggest question has been if this team can get the job done when the lights are the brightest in October.
Pick the Phillies to win the 2026 World Series on PrizePicks
5. Atlanta Braves
- Record: 55-40
- World Series Winner: 9.09x
- National League Champion: 7.14x
The Braves enter the All-Star break clinging to first place in the National League East. Atlanta has lost 19 of its last 29 games heading into the All-Star break and certainly hasn’t looked like the dominant team that began the season.
OF Ronald Acuna Jr. — who has missed the last month with a hamstring injury — began a rehab assignment earlier this week and is expected to return shortly after the All-Star break.
Obviously, if Acuna can return to form in the second half, that completely flips the script for Atlanta.
From a pitching standpoint, the Braves have lost SP Spencer Strider for the season due to an elbow injury, while RP Robert Suarez has missed the last month.
As always seems to be the case for this team in recent years, if the Braves can get healthier down the stretch, it’ll go a long way toward improving their standing in the National League pecking order.

6. Chicago Cubs
- Record: 54-42
- World Series Winner: 16.66x
- National League Champion: 10x
It’s been an up-and-down campaign for the Cubs throughout the first half of the 2026 season. This is a group that raced out to a 27-14 record before hitting the skids on a 10-game losing streak in late May.
OF Pete Crow-Armstrong is having a career year with 21 home runs and 53 RBIs in the first half, but that could be overshadowed by the team’s pitching deficiencies. The Cubs rank 21st in ERA (4.33) in the majors and have gotten subpar starting pitching all year.
SP Shota Imanaga has tallied just five wins on the year and surrendered some big outings. Imanaga will need to turn things around if the Cubs want to be a postseason contender in 2026.
Pick the Cubs to win the 2026 World Series on PrizePicks
7. New York Yankees
- Record: 54-42
- World Series Winner: 6.25x
- American League Champion: 3.44x
It’s tough to forecast what the Yankees really are at this point since OF Aaron Judge has been out of the lineup. Judge suffered a rib injury in late May and has been out of the lineup ever since. He'll remain out until he is 100% healed, but he is getting closer to a return.
Without Judge, the Yankees have a 18-19 record this season.
New York did embark on a 4-14 stretch recently, but closed out the first half with a four-game winning streak, including a three-game sweep of the Nationals.
Even with their struggles without Judge, the Yankees are still just three games behind the Rays for first place in the AL East.

8. Miami Marlins
- Record: 52-45
- World Series Winner: 33.33x
- National League Champion: 33.33x
Before the 2026 season began, it’s unlikely that many analysts would’ve predicted that the Marlins would be in third place in the NL East at the All-Star break. However, that’s exactly where they are, despite playing in one of baseball's tougher divisions.
All-Star SS Otto Lopez leads the majors in batting average (.334) and hits (127) while batting leadoff. As a team, the Marlins rank seventh in OPS (.741) and 11th in wRC+ (103) as they continue to get the job done at the plate.
SP Max Meyer has really found himself in 2026, being selected to his first All-Star Game after compiling 9 wins and a 2.58 ERA in the first half. If fellow SP Sandy Alcantara can regain his elite form, the Marlins could certainly make a push for a Wild Card spot in the National League.

9. Chicago White Sox
- Record: 50-45
- World Series Winner: 33.33x
- American League Champion: 10x
The White Sox have certainly had their fair share of struggles in recent years, with no more than 61 wins in each of their last three campaigns. However, this young team appears to be on the rise.
The power-hitting of SS Colson Montgomery (23 HR) and 1B Munetaka Murakami (20 HR) has transformed the White Sox into a 2026 contender. Murakami, who signed a two-year, $34 million contract in the offseason, might be one of the biggest free agency steals.
If the starting pitching can hold up down the stretch, it’s quite possible that this young group can push for a playoff spot.
Pick the White Sox to win the 2026 World Series on PrizePicks
10. St. Louis Cardinals
- Record: 50-45
- World Series Winner: 33.33x
- National League Champion: 33.33x
The National League Central has been one of the more competitive divisions in baseball this season. Even with a strong first half, the Cardinals find themselves 8.5 games out of first place at the All-Star break, but a lot of that has to do with the Brewers’ absurd performance.
The emergence of OF Jordan Walker has been one of the more polarizing stories of the 2026 season. Walker has long been viewed as a top prospect and has finally put it together this season.
The Cardinals’ outfielder slugged 22 home runs in the first half, and even won the Home Run Derby during All-Star Week, more than doubling his yearly salary.
Rookie 2B JJ Wetherholt (.356 OBP) has also been quite impressive to watch, and recently signed an eight-year, $112.5 million contract extension. The Cardinals probably don’t have the pitching staff to be a true contender just yet, but the rebuild has certainly been accelerated thanks to a core of young hitters.
