The Baltimore Ravens (7-7) are looking to move up the AFC North standings on Sunday Night Football against the New England Patriots (11-3), who carry the No. 2 seed in the AFC. The Pats had their 10-game winning streak snapped last week, while Baltimore rolls into this matchup on a 6-2 stretch.
Facing New England on the road in a prime-time atmosphere may be a tall challenge for Ravens QB Lamar Jackson & Co. The Patriots give up only 19.7 points per game (sixth), leading to concerns surrounding Baltimore’s offense.
Will New England keep one of the NFL’s best QBs in check? Let’s look at Lamar Jackson's stats and a pick for Sunday's 8:20 p.m. ET kickoff on NBC. How do the numbers compare to his projections at PrizePicks?
Lamar Jackson Stats, Pick for Sunday Night Football
Jackson’s posted underwhelming stats over the last three games, averaging 205.0 passing yards per contest while recording 3 passing TDs and 3 INTs. Even his legs have been kept in check to the tune of 32.0 rushing yards per game.
Will the two-time MVP have a bounce-back outing in a must-win on SNF?
Ravens QB Lamar Jackson Projection vs. Patriots: 33.5 Rushing Yards
Since returning from injury in Week 9, Jackson’s mobility has looked out of character at times. After recording his second-quickest speed since Week 4’s injury, perhaps we can trust his legs once again.
According to SumerSports, the Patriots cede -0.03 expected points added (EPA) per dropback (tied for 11th) compared to -0.03 EPA per rush (T-15th). New England also surrenders 4.1 yards per carry (12th) and 6.8 yards per pass (11th).
This is a balanced defense, but the Pats are slightly vulnerable against the run. Jackson could be scrambling more often, as Baltimore LT Ronnie Stanley (knee/ankle) is questionable. ESPN ranks the Ravens sixth in pass block win rate, but Stanley is a key cog in the machine with his 72.5 pass block grade, via Pro Football Focus.
Baltimore continues to lean on the ground game, sporting a 49.4% rush-play rate (second). Since Week 9, Jackson posts 5.8 rushing attempts per game and has reached 6 carries in four of six contests.
With the former Louisville Cardinal's speed up to snuff, he’s capable of ripping off some big runs. His 33.5 rushing yard projection at PrizePicks might be within reach.

Jackson hasn’t produced his usual rushing numbers due to a hamstring injury that held him out from Week 5 to 8. However, he flashed his usual explosive speed in Week 15. With potential pass protection issues on the horizon, could Jackson rack up rushing yards on Sunday Night Football?
