Jets vs. Patriots Prediction, Picks for TNF: More Drake Maye Goodness?

Thursday Night Football in Week 11 brings us an AFC East showdown, as the New York Jets (2-7) travel to Foxborough, where they'll face the surging New England Patriots (8-2) at Gillette Stadium (8:15 p.m. ET, Prime Video).

The Jets roll into Massachusetts riding their first winning streak of the season — a modest two-gamer — thanks in part to big plays on special teams and the reemergence of RB Breece Hall.

Meanwhile, Patriots head coach Mike Vrabel made it clear this short week would lead to an “all hands on deck" situation, and his team responded with a physical, businesslike approach after Sunday’s narrow 28-23 win over the Tampa Bay Buccaneers.

Below, we’ll break down our Jets vs. Patriots prediction and the top Thursday Night Football picks to target on PrizePicks for this AFC East battle.

Jets vs. Patriots Prediction, Picks for TNF

Let's dive deeper into this Jets vs. Patriots Thursday night matchup.

The Jets have (sort of) found life after an 0-7 start, winning two straight over the league's Ohio franchises, the Cincinnati Bengals and the Cleveland Browns. Head coach Aaron Glenn has his group playing with renewed confidence, but a short week on the road without star WR Garrett Wilson (knee) presents another steep challenge. The team might continue to lean on Hall, who accounted for 74% of the Jets’ total yardage in both victories, the only NFL player to do so twice this season.

On the other side the field, the Patriots have won seven straight and are eyeing an eighth — their longest streak since 2021 — as second-year QB Drake Maye continues to solidify his MVP case. Maye has been masterful under OC Josh McDaniels, ranking top-three in completion percentage (71.7%), passing TDs (19), and yards (2,555). His command of the offense and ability to punish blitzes have helped New England find balance in 2025.

The Pats' D remains one of the most disciplined in football, allowing just 17.7 points per game over its win streak, while the offense has revved up the workload for rookie RB TreVeyon Henderson, who broke loose for TD runs of 55 and 69 yards against Tampa Bay. The Patriots’ formula — explosive balance and opportunistic defense — has turned Foxborough into one of the toughest venues in football...again.

New York Jets Preview

After trading away defensive cornerstones in CB Sauce Gardner and DT Quinnen Williams, the Jets appeared headed for a full rebuild, but a rejuvenated Breece Hall has softened the blow. Hall accounted for 125 of New York’s 169 total yards in last week’s 27-20 win over Cleveland, including a 42-yard TD reception that showcased his burst and vision in space.

NY QB Justin Fields hasn’t put up gaudy numbers — just 54 passing yards last week — but he’s avoided costly turnovers and has gotten help from the special teams and Hall’s resurrection.

The expected debut of former Colts WR Adonai Mitchell — acquired in the Gardner trade — could provide a spark to an offense still searching for a consistent vertical threat.

DE Will McDonald IV has been a bright spot. The 2023 first-rounder tied a franchise record with 4 sacks last week and has 7 on the season. He’ll need another dominant showing to pressure Maye, as the Jets’ secondary faces one of its stiffest tests yet against New England’s deep receiving corps.

New England Patriots Preview

Maye’s transformation from promising rookie to polished MVP candidate has been the defining story of New England’s 2025 campaign. His poise and pre-snap processing have elevated McDaniels’ scheme, with Maye sitting 11th in the NFL in completion percentage against the blitz (70.0%) and completing 71.7% of his passes overall, a mark that would set another franchise record. His 91.3% rate on October 19 already bested Tom Brady’s single-game record of 88.5%.

WRs Stefon Diggs and Kyle Williams have been his top targets, while the ground game has surged thanks to the explosive Henderson, who averages 5.3 yards per carry. The Patriots’ offensive line has allowed just 11 sacks in the team’s last seven games.

Defensively, Vrabel’s group continues to thrive on discipline and situational dominance. New England ranks 13th in defensive EPA/play (-0.02, per SumerSports) and has forced at least 1 turnover in eight straight games. That unit will look to contain Hall, the Jets’ lone consistent playmaker, and keep Fields uncomfortable behind a banged-up offensive line.

Jets vs. Patriots Prediction, Picks for TNF

Below are three top Jets vs. Patriots same-game picks for Thursday Night Football. Patriots QB Drake Maye, Jets RB Breece Hall, and Patriots WR Stefon Diggs are some same-game PrizePicks player projections to consider.

Patriots QB Drake Maye - 240.5 Passing Yards

  • Maye has thrown for 682 yards on play-action plays (eighth in the NFL) on 96 dropbacks (eighth), per PFF, demonstrating his efficiency and scrambling prowess.
  • The Jets rank eighth in opponent passing yards per game (190.8) and 25th in EPA allowed per dropback (0.11). The yardage might increase without Gardner's presence.
  • New England holds the second-best completion percentage in the NFL.
  • Over the last two seasons, Maye has averaged 210.0  passing yards.
  • The Jets held Browns rookie QB Dillon Gabriel to just 17 completions for 167 yards passing last Sunday.

Jets RB Breece Hall - 76.5 Rush-Receiving Yards

  • Hall has contributed 74% of the Jets’ total yardage in each of the last two wins.
  • He sits tied for fourth among active RBs behind Austin Ekeler, Christian McCaffrey and James Cook in all-time yards per touch (5.5).
  • The Patriots have overtaken the Seattle Seahawks as the NFL’s top defense against the run (79.2 yards per game).
  • After surviving the trade deadline, Hall has recorded 20+ touches in his last two appearances, showing his reliability as a checkdown and dump-off option in the passing game.
  • With Garrett Wilson out, Hall’s involvement in the pass game could increase, particularly on screens, draws, and play-action, keeping the Jets’ offense on the field.

Patriots WR Stefon Diggs - 56.5 Receiving Yards

  • Diggs has generated 187 yards after catch in his first season with the Patriots (20th among NFL WRs), per PFF.
  • The Jets’ secondary allowed two 20+ yard receiving plays last Sunday against Cleveland, creating potential for big completions to Diggs in one-on-one situations.
  • Maye has averaged 8.9 yards per throw this season, which could give Diggs clean windows on intermediate and deep routes.
  • Over the last two games, Diggs has averaged 10.95 YPR per game and remains the primary beneficiary of Maye’s ability passing under pressure.
  • Browns WR1 Jerry Jeudy racked up 78 yards on 6 catches and 1 TD in Week 10 against New York's defense.
