Jeremiyah Love Injury Update: Will Love Play This Week vs. Broncos?

Cardinals head coach Mike LaFleur said that Love will miss Arizona’s game against Denver. Love didn’t practice on Wednesday or Thursday this week, ultimately leading to the decision to make him inactive.

This marks the second consecutive game Love will miss after he sat out Week 6 vs. the Rams because he “wasn’t improving” all week.

However, LaFleur has previously said the team isn’t considering putting Love on injured reserve.

Love has dealt with this ankle injury for a while now. The rookie rushed for 58 yards in his preseason debut against the Las Vegas Raiders but was forced to leave the game with an ankle ailment.

In Week 3, Love had his most productive performance, rushing for 90 yards on 21 carries against the San Francisco 49ers. However, his ankle has continued to hamper him, and he rushed for just 22 yards on 12 carries against the Detroit Lions in Week 5.

With Love slated to miss Sunday’s Week 7, how does that affect fantasy football and Cardinals picks for PrizePicks?

Cardinals Fantasy Football Outlook With Love Out

Love was one of the most polarizing players in the 2026 NFL Draft class, and the Cardinals took him with the #3 pick in April. Because of the high draft capital, Love was one of the most intriguing rookies in this past summer's fantasy football drafts.

With Love officially out, the Cardinals will likely turn to RB Zonovan "Bam" Knight after a successful performance in Week 6. Veteran RB Tyler Allgeier will also get some work in the Arizona backfield.

Entering Week 6, Allgeier was expected to be the more productive RB with Love sidelined. However, Knight rushed for 80 yards on 15 carries (5.3 YPC) and caught 2 passes for 18 yards in an 18-16 win over the Rams. Meanwhile, Allgeier had 18 carries for just 38 yards (2.1 YPC) in Week 6.

Knight has carried the ball 18 times for 112 yards (6.2 YPC) but hasn’t found the end zone yet. Despite limited playing time before Week 6, he's tallied 0.75 fantasy points per opportunity (31st among RBs), per PlayerProfiler.

The Cardinals have averaged 26.2 rushing attempts per game and 3.7 YPC in 2026. Knight has clearly outperformed Allgeier on a per-carry basis, with Allgeier averaging just 3.0 YPC on the season.

Week 7 offers an intriguing matchup against the Broncos, who have struggled to stop the run. The Broncos have allowed 139.8 rushing YPG (31st) and tallied a -0.046 EPA/rush (26th), according to RBSDM.

In Week 6, the Broncos did cede 113 rushing yards and 4.3 YPC to a struggling Seattle Seahawks rushing attack. On the season, Denver has let opponents go off for 839 rushing yards, ranking 31st in the NFL.

All things considered, the duo of Knight and Allgeier might be able to offset the loss of Love this weekend.
