We’re guaranteed a new French Open champion in both singles draws, and while we’re missing some big names in these quarterfinals, that doesn’t mean we’re lacking compelling matchups. Zverev is generally considered the best men’s player on tour to not win a major, and he may never get a better opportunity than this to get over the hump.
Below, we’ll break down our French Open predictions for Tuesday’s tennis slate, including winner payouts, key stats, and two tennis match predictions for PrizePicks.

French Open Predictions, Tennis Picks for Tuesday, June 2
Before we get into our French Open predictions for Tuesday, here’s a quick look at the two matches we’re focusing on and the consensus favorites on PrizePicks Team Picks.
Elina Svitolina vs. Marta Kostyuk — Quarterfinals
- Svitolina – 2.04x payout | Kostyuk – 1.72x payout
Rafael Jodar vs. Alexander Zverev — Quarterfinals
- Jodar – 3.33x payout | Zverev – 1.29x payout
On PrizePicks Team Picks, a 2x payout means the result will return $200 on a $100 entry. A lower payout multiplier signals a higher implied probability of that result based on user picks.
Payouts are live at the time of writing and are subject to change. Tennis winner markets are available in 35 states.
Elina Svitolina vs. Marta Kostyuk Prediction for the French Open — Tuesday, June 2
Match Winner Payouts: Svitolina 2.04x | Kostyuk 1.72x
Tournament Round: Quarterfinals
2026 Record Entering the French Open: Svitolina 28-7 | Kostyuk 17-4
Head-to-Head Record: 1-1
How to Watch: TNT and HBO Max
Two of the hottest players of this clay season will go toe-to-toe in an all-Ukrainian affair.
Including the French Open, Elina Svitolina has gone 12-2 on the red dirt this year, and she enters these quarterfinals on a 10-match win streak. She lifted the trophy in Rome directly ahead of this event, impressively earning wins over a trio of top-four players (Elena Rybakina, Iga Swiatek, and Coco Gauff) on her way to the title.
And yet, despite all that success, Marta Kostyuk has arguably been even better.
That’s because Kostyuk hasn’t lost a single match on clay in 2026, entering this encounter riding a 15-match win streak. She’s won two tournaments during this flawless stretch, one of which came in Madrid, her first career WTA 1000 title.
Kostyuk certainly hasn’t let up during this run in Paris, either, as she danced her way through a straight-sets victory in the fourth round over Swiatek, a four-time French Open champion.
This is shaping up to be a potential nail-biter, but one of these double-digit win streaks will ultimately come to an end. Both players are seeking their first semifinal appearance at Roland Garros.
According to Tennis Abstract’s Elo ratings, Svitolina is showing a 54.3% win probability despite being a slight underdog.

Elina Svitolina vs. Marta Kostyuk Pick for the French Open on Tuesday
Svitolina vs. Kostyuk — 21.5 Total Games
Given their respective win streaks, it isn’t surprising that both players are putting up strong numbers in Paris.
Going into the quarterfinals, Svitolina has logged the tournament’s second-most winners (122) and fifth-most aces (13). She’s also been like a brick wall in the return game, winning 51% of her return points.
Kostyuk has been even better in those departments, racking up the most winners (140) and second-most aces (18) through four rounds while also winning 52% of her return points.
With both sides playing at a high level, it could be hard for either one to get through this battle in straight sets.
Svitolina and Kostyuk have faced each other only twice, though we can probably throw out their 2018 meeting when Kostyuk was still a low-ranked player just getting her career underway. Their most recent match was in 2024 (Toronto), and it went three sets in a Kostyuk victory (6-2, 2-6, 6-2).

Rafael Jodar vs. Alexander Zverev Prediction for the French Open — Tuesday, June 2
Match Winner Payouts: Jodar 3.33x | Zverev 1.29x
Tournament Round: Quarterfinals
2026 Record Entering the French Open: Jodar 20-9 | Zverev 28-9
Head-to-Head Record: First Career Meeting
How to Watch: TNT and HBO Max
With no Jannik Sinner, Carlos Alcaraz, or Novak Djokovic standing in the way, Alexander Zverev has emerged as the new favorite to win the French Open, which would be his first-ever major title. According to PrizePicks Team Picks, Zverev has the lowest payout to win the Men's French Open (2.27x).
But the man who is standing in his way could still give him trouble. Rafael Jodar may not be a household name, but the 19-year-old could be on track to quickly become one.
Despite this being just the second main-draw appearance at a Grand Slam, Jodar has made it all the way to the quarterfinals, and he’s now cracked the top 25 in the ATP live rankings. He began this 2026 campaign ranked 165th, showing how remarkable a feat this is.
Jodar entered Roland Garros with a 15-3 record on clay, winning a title in Marrakech (an ATP 250 event) and reaching at least the quarterfinals in Barcelona, Madrid, and Rome.
Still, while he might be able to make some noise on Tuesday, this will be a tall order to defeat the world No. 3. Jodar is 1-4 versus top-20 opponents over his young career, and he hasn’t faced anyone ranked inside the top 40 during his French Open run.
While youth is on his side, fatigue could also be an issue for Jodar, as he’s coming off two straight five-setters. In contrast to this, Zverev has dropped just one set all tournament.
Tennis Abstract’s Elo ratings peg Zverev for a 65.3% win probability.

Rafael Jodar vs. Alexander Zverev Pick for the French Open on Tuesday
Jodar vs. Zverev — 37.5 Total Games
Zverev may be a huge step up in competition for Jodar, but there’s no question the Spaniard has played well in Paris, and it’s possible he could steal a set.
Coming into the quarterfinals, Jodar has produced the event’s fifth-most winners (180), and he’s been one of the very best players in the return game, winning 45% of his return points. That 45% clip is actually identical to what Zverev has achieved here, and Zverev is right there with Jodar in winners (179) as well.
Outside of Jodar’s lopsided win in the first round — an unlikely result versus Zverev — his other three matches have all gone four or more sets. Those matches have tallied 42, 54, and 43 total games.
Despite being ranked outside the top 20, Jodar actually ranks eighth in clay Elo rating, per Tennis Abstract. Zverev ranks third in the metric.
