Eagles vs. Vikings Predictions, Picks: Trust Saquon Barkley?

When it comes to Eagles vs. Vikings predictions and picks, this Sunday at 1:00 p.m ET offers a test for a Philadelphia squad that’s lost two in a row.

Eagles QB Jalen Hurts and company haven’t looked sharp lately, and the offense has been labeled predictable.

Minnesota enters with its own uncertainty at quarterback: J.J. McCarthy is practicing but not fully healthy, and veteran Carson Wentz is still dealing with a shoulder issue.

Even if the Vikings’ signal caller situation isn’t ideal, WRs Justin Jefferson and Jordan Addison remain big wildcards for Minnesota, especially against an Eagles secondary under fire. Meanwhile, Philly still leans on its identity — run-first balance and explosive weapons — but will need sharper execution to get back on track.

We’ll dig into our full Eagles vs. Vikings predictions, break down key player projections, and identify the matchups that could swing this one. We’ll also lay out our favorite PrizePicks picks, including projection edges worth locking in before the action begins.

Eagles vs. Vikings Predictions, Picks

Philadelphia Eagles Preview vs. Vikings

The Eagles started out 4-0 this season, but there were whispers that, behind the unbeaten record, there were cracks beginning to form. Those cracks have manifested into a two-game losing streak to the Denver Broncos and New York Giants, and in both games, the Eagles struggled to make an offensive dent.

There have been injuries that played a part in this. The OL is banged up, with star offensive linemen G Landon Dickerson and OT Lane Johnson slowly recovering despite playing each game. The defense has also had its share of injury issues, with OLB Nolan Smith on IR for another month and star DT Jalen Carter missing time.

Despite this, the Eagles remain one of the top teams in the NFC and this is a prime spot to show it, in what might turn into revenge matchup against their former franchise QB in Wentz.

Minnesota Vikings Preview vs. Eagles

As mentioned, this is a revenge game for Wentz, too. Wentz was the Eagles No. 2 overall pick in the 2016 draft and was set to be the Eagles face of the franchise, but everything went sideways after a series of injuries over the next couple of seasons. He was traded away in 2021.

This is Wentz's first game in Philly since leaving the team, and that could play a role as the crowd should be none too friendly.

The Vikings might focus on getting their ground game going in this one — the Eagles have been gashed on the ground lately, allowing the sixth-most fantasy points per game to the RB position this season.

Eagles vs. Vikings Same-Game Picks for PrizePicks

Here are two Eagles vs. Vikings same-game player picks for Week 7, highlighting projections to watch for RB Saquon Barkley and WR Jordan Addison.

You can choose More or Less on these projections on PrizePicks, along with many others, to win real money this NFL season.

Eagles RB Saquon Barkley Projections vs. Vikings: 15.5 Receiving Yards

Through six weeks, Barkley has struggled to put up the video game-esque numbers he was delivered in 2024. A fall-off of some sort had to be expected, but it would have been tough to predict that Barkley would be running this poorly, even behind a banged-up offensive line.

Barkley has, however, shown increased receiving work in 2025. He has at least 2 catches in every single game and the Eagles do keep him in and have him run routes if they need him to. The Vikings have shown a gap in allowing running backs to rack up receiving yards, as six different running backs have had at least 16 receiving yards against them this season.

Vikings WR Jordan Addison Projections vs. Eagles: 42.5 Receiving Yards

Addison’s return from a three-game suspension earlier this season proved to not slow him down, as he had 4 catches for 114 yards in his first game back.

While Justin Jefferson will grab the big-name spotlight, Addison is the Vikings’ grinder on the outside that can really damage teams downfield, and he could be a big problem for a banged-up Eagles’ secondary. The Eagles’ top CB, Quinyon Mitchell, is questionable but even though he’s expected to play, he should shadow Jefferson as he has in past matchups, leaving Addison with an easy matchup against beleaguered CB2 Adoree’ Jackson, who has really struggled this season.

Addison’s speed could be crucial here, as Jackson is an older veteran who is better in contested catch and press coverage situations than tracking receivers downfield. Jackson’s PFF coverage grade ranks last among Philadelphia cornerbacks and this could be a spot for Addison to post a big number once again.

Make Eagles vs. Vikings Picks on PrizePicks

This is a spot where the Eagles would really like to win and turn the ship around, but the Vikings and Brian Flores’ defense will not be an easy out for them. This could all come down to whether the Eagles can finally get their ground game going behind Barkley and also if Carson Wentz is up to the challenge against his former squad.
