In the final matchup of the Week 13 NFL slate on Monday Night Football, the piping-hot Patriots host a Giants team that is all but eliminated from Playoff contention. The game kicks off at 8:15 p.m. ET on and can be seen on ESPN.
In a battle of young, coveted quarterbacks, the third-overall pick in last year’s draft, Patriots field general Drake Maye, faces off against Giants rookie Jaxson Dart, the 25th pick the 2025 NFL Draft
Dart, who has emerged as a favorite for the Offensive Rookie of the Year award, has been great since taking over for QB Russell Wilson in Week 4, and returns tonight after missing two games with a concussion. On the other side, Maye is one of the frontrunners for the MVP award and has led the Patriots to be the current top seed in the AFC.
Let’s take a look at our Giants vs. Patriots prediction and picks for Monday Night Football, including the PrizePicks projections that you should be paying attention to.

New England Patriots Preview vs. Giants
Maye has thrown for 3,130 yards with 21 TDs and only 6 INTs. He’s also contributed nicely in the running game, averaging 4 yards per carry and adding 300 yards and 2 TDs.
The Patriots have seen some key contributions from their young players. Rookie RB TreVeyon Henderson — drafted in the second round but sparingly used for the first two months of the season, — has seen a breakout in the last few weeks. He's averaging 19 touches a game for the last four, running for at least 60 yards in four of the last five games as well.
New York Giants Preview vs. Patriots
The Giants have been a bit more dysfunctional this season than the Patriots, and even that might be stating things lightly.
They’ve fired head coach Brian Daboll, lost two of their top offensive players to season-ending injuries, and even had questions over the kicking personnel. After all of that, they then lost their prized rookie QB to what was rumored to be his fourth concussion of the season.
Dart returns for this game against the Patriots, but may come back a little muted when it comes to his running game — where he's added 317 yards (over 45 yards per game in starts) and 7 TDs this season.
The Giants have recently stressed the importance of protecting himself as a young player should. While Dart should maintain a heavy presence in the running game, the team hopes he has fewer head-first contacts and puts an emphasis on getting down without contact.

Giants QB Jaxson Dart Projections vs. Patriots: 28.5 Rush Yards
Unpopular opinion: I don't want the Giants to change who Jaxson Dart is. He played in a Wing T in HS and it shows. He has ELITE vision & ability to change direction laterally among QBs.

The way he sets up No. 9 here is unique.

Running is a huge part of Dart’s game. As Schneier’s tweet illustrates, Dart has been using his mobility and vision in synchronicity for years now, and the Giants just need to find safer ways for him to get on the ground.
The Patriots have been impressive against running QBs this season, only allowing two quarterbacks to have more than 20 rushing yards against them so far, per CBS Sports. However, they were Buffalo's Josh Allen and the Jets' Justin Fields — two QBs that have similar rushing upside as Dart.
Dart may be able to exploit the Patriots’ man coverage defense on the ground. When defenses play man, the corners and LBs commonly turn their backs to focus on their coverage assignments, leaving the middle of the field open for QBs to scramble.
While we could see the Patriots put a QB spy on Dart tonight, he has typically found a way to get into space for big runs, with at least one run of 15+ yards in five of his seven starts. He's also had more than 50 rushing yards in five of his seven starts.
Patriots RB TreVeyon Henderson Projections vs. Giants: 65.5 Rush Yards
According to Fox Sports, the Giants rushing defense ranks last in the league, allowing 157.2 yards per game.

The Patriots haven’t really been able to run the ball, but it would be a good week for the rushing attack to come alive.

Henderson has flashed throughout the season, but head coach Mike Vrabel and offensive coordinator Josh McDaniels have been very intentional in how they want to use their rookie in tandem with veteran RB Rhamondre Stevenson, who came into the season as the RB1.
Stevenson and McDaniels had familiarity from Stevenson’s rookie year with the Patriots, so for a couple of months, Henderson played second fiddle to the vet.
However, Stevenson hit the bench after a toe injury forced him out for a couple of weeks, giving Henderson the reins, and he ran with it, averaging 110 total yards per game while Stevenson was sidelined.
Henderson now draws a great matchup with the Giants, who give up the second-most yards per game (126.2) and the highest yards per rush to RBs (6.2), per Lineups.
The Giants could really struggle to contain the tandem of Stevenson and Henderson, but look for Henderson to bounce outside and force the Giants LBs to tackle him in space. That may be difficult when considering Henderson’s low contact balance and shiftiness, which has helped the rookie rank third in yards after contact per carry (3.73), according to PFF.
