Week 4 of the 2025-26 campaign has plenty of intriguing matchups, but few carry a higher profile than the Cowboys vs. Packers showdown on Sunday Night Football.
It’s an early-season meeting between two QBs — and teams, for that matter — with something to prove. Both Dak Prescott’s 1-2 Dallas squad and Jordan Love’s 2-1 Green Bay crew are looking to get back on track following losses.
Below, we’ll cover our Cowboys vs. Packers prediction and same-game Sunday Night Football picks to target. Use PrizePicks NFL DFS in Week 4 for a chance to win real rewards!

Cowboys vs. Packers Prediction, Sunday Night Football Preview
- Sunday night marks the 40th all-time meeting between the Cowboys and Packers. Green Bay leads the series 22-17-0, including victories in 10 of the last 11 bouts.
- The most recent showdown involving these historic franchises was 2024’s NFC Wild Card game. The Packers won 48-32, with Love and Prescott combining for 675 passing yards and 6 TDs.
- Week 4 is superstar pass rusher Micah Parsons’ first opportunity to see his old Cowboys team since shockingly being traded in August.
Dallas Cowboys Preview
- Last season was a lost one for the Cowboys. Prescott suffered a season-ending injury, prompting a 4-5 stretch in his absence and a 7-10 finish overall.
- After dropping the 2025 opener to the NFC East rival Eagles, Dallas won a close divisional contest against the Giants in Week 2 (40-37 in OT) before getting blown out by the Bears 31-14 in Week 3.
- Offense isn’t the problem in Jerry World. According to SumerSports, head coach Brian Schottenheimer’s group is ninth in EPA/play on that end.
- The issue is defense, with the Cowboys sitting second from the bottom — and below bottom with the eye test.
Green Bay Packers Preview
- With Love under center, the Packers steadily improved from 9-8 in 2023 to 11-6 last year. Unfortunately, they have yet to get over the hump in either postseason try.
- Green Bay may have been football’s best team in Weeks 1-2, taking down perceived contenders Detroit and Washington by 14 and 9 points, respectively.
- Week 3 saw the Cheeseheads come back down to earth. They looked wobbly and inconsistent in a 13-10 loss to the Browns on the road.
- Head coach Matt LaFleur’s offense is finding its footing, but the Packers’ defense is thriving. The latter unit is first in scoring and third in yards allowed.
Cowboys vs. Packers Same Game Picks for NFL DFS & PrizePicks
Here are three top Cowboys vs. Packers same-game picks for Week 4 of the season. Key PrizePicks player projections for Dak Prescott, Javonte Williams, and Tucker Kraft are included.
Cowboys QB Dak Prescott Projection: 238.5 Pass Yards
- The 2025 version of Prescott is dangerous. The 32-year-old has more tight-window completions than any QB and is football’s best when given 2.5 or more seconds to throw.
- Week 3 was unequivocally the veteran’s worst game since Week 9 of last season (178 yards and 2 INTs vs. Detroit).
- Prescott’s average of 266.7 passing yards per game is his highest since 2021 (278.1).
- In four career games against the Packers, Prescott managed 306.5 yards per outing, the fourth-highest among all opponents he’s faced.
Cowboys RB Javonte Williams Projection: 49.5 Rush Yards
- Williams has quickly established himself in Dallas. He’s averaging career-high marks in yards per carry (5.3), attempts per game (14.3), and success rate (67.4).
- The former second-round pick does damage both before (2.5 yards) and after (2.8 yards) contact. Those figures are the best of his career.
- Williams is one of seven RBs to average 7.0 expected points in the run and pass games.
- Even with the Packers’ defense ranking 10th in EPA/rush, Williams is possibly hot enough to thrive.
Packers TE Tucker Kraft Projection: 42.5 Receiving Yards
- Knee and elbow injuries had Kraft limited in practice on Wednesday and Thursday, yet all signs point to no limitations in Week 4.
- Kraft is posting personal bests in yards per reception (15.4), yards per game (56.3), and passer rating when targeted (149.7).
- Leading up to SNF, Kraft is making it clear that he wants the ball. He believes it’s in the “best interest” of the Packers to feed him.
- The Cowboys matchup is an interesting one, as the Dallas defense ranks 18th in fantasy points yielded to opposing tight ends.
