CeeDee Lamb Injury Update: Will Cowboys WR Play on SNF?

Lamb was a limited participant at Wednesday’s practice, followed by a full-work showing on Thursday. The four-time Pro Bowler seemed on track to play, then the good news officially broke Friday morning.

Coming off back-to-back games with over 100 receiving yards, Lamb could continue to make a big impact on Dallas’ offense.

Cowboys’ Fantasy Football Outlook

When looking at the passing game, Lamb and Cowboys WR George Pickens have constantly traded blows. The former Oklahoma Sooner is totaling 8.9 targets, 5.7 receptions, and 86.5 receiving yards per contest, and the first-year Cowboy averages 8.8 targets, 6.0 catches, and 90.7 receiving yards.

Lamb has featured more production over the last two, sporting 6.5 receptions and 116.5 receiving yards per outing compared to Pickens' respective marks of 5.5 and 62.5. With that said, the volume was still in the former Dawg’s favor, with 11.0 targets per game versus Lamb’s 8.5.

According to PlayerProfiler, the 2020 Dallas draftee carries a 23.4% target share and 17.2% red-zone target share. Pickens brings a similar 23.7% target share but has the leg up in TDs thanks to a 23.5% red-zone target share.

Sunday night's opponent, the Vikings, features a strong defense. It holds opponents to 4.9 yards per play (seventh) and -0.09 EPA per dropback (tied for sixth, per Sumer Sports).

Minnesota features zone coverage at the ninth-highest rate, via Sharp Football Analysis. According to Pro Football Focus, Pickens boasts an 87.6 receiving grade against zone compared to Lamb's 74.4 mark.

PrizePicks has Pickens' receiving yards projection at 73.5 for Week 15.
