Bengals vs. Commanders Prediction, Picks for Monday Night Football

Below are our top three Bengals vs. Commanders NFL DFS picks and predictions to end the week of preseason play. Build your preseason Week 2 Lineup with PrizePicks.

Bengals QB Joe Burrow — 70.5 Pass Yards

Bengals vs. Commanders Predictions - Joe Burrow

Here in his fifth preseason, Joe Burrow has been involved as much, if not more than ever. Whether it be due to injuries or the COVID-19 pandemic, this is the first completely normal training camp and August stretch of his career.

In the aforementioned loss to the Eagles, Burrow led the starting offense for a pair of drives. On those possessions, he went 9-for-10 passing with 123 yards and 2 TDs.

Burrow and the rest of the Bengals starters are expected to play a full quarter on Monday night.

Bengals WR Ja’Marr Chase — 27.5 Receiving Yards

Bengals WR Ja'Marr Chase, the best wideout in the NFL a season ago with 1,708 yards, picked up right where he left off. In Week 1 of the preseason, he logged 16 offensive snaps — good for 25% of available reps.

In those opportunities, Chase recorded 4 receptions for 77 yards and a score, dominating in a short amount of field time. His connection with Burrow remains alive and well, which bodes well for the regular season.

Even if you can't expect a target on 25% of his snaps like Week 1, Chase doesn't need to do a lot with his snaps to reach 28 yards, as he'll play a full quarter.

Commanders QB Jayden Daniels — 46.5 Pass Yards

Commanders second-year QB Jayden Daniels didn’t play in Week 1 of the preseason, but he is expected to play a "few" series tonight.

Despite that, the reigning Offensive Rookie of the Year is looking to establish a rhythm against a porous Bengals defense that ranked 22nd in EPA/play allowed a year ago, per SumerSports

Last preseason, Daniels played in two games and went 12-for-15 with 123 passing yards — 61.5 yards per game. He averaged 210 passing yards per outing during the regular season.

Are Bengals Playing Starters vs. Commanders Tonight?

Bengals HC Zac Taylor ruled out four Bengals on Saturday, but Burrow and Chase weren’t in that group. He’ll see work along with most of his fellow starters, which is good news for Cincinnati.

Taylor also said that starers will play about a quarter tonight — more than most team's starters in the preseason.

TE Noah Fant and cornerback Dax Hill will make their respective preseason debuts. Another player to watch is first-round DE Shemar Stewart, who has played well during training camp, according to local media.

Are Commanders Playing Starters vs. Bengals Tonight?

Speaking to the media late in the week, Quinn revealed that seven players will miss Monday night’s game. The group includes stars like LB Bobby Wagner, DE Von Miller, and WR Terry McLaurin.

Fortunately for the Commanders, they’ll have their starting quarterback under center. Daniels is tracking to make his preseason debut, with Quinn alluding to “a few series” for the first-stringers.
