New England Patriots at Tampa Bay Buccaneers Picks & Stats to Know

  • After finishing 2024 season 31st in total offense (292.0) and scoring offense (17.0), the Patriots have turned it around in 2025: 12th in total offense (350.7) and sixth in scoring offense (26.3 PPG).  
  • New England’s defense is among the league’s best, ranked first against the run (75.4) and ninth overall (299.0).
  • The Patriots’ 7-2 start is their best since starting 8-0 (9-1 after 10 games) in the 2019 season when this guy named Tom Brady was at QB. 
  • New England has won six straight games. The last time they won seven straight was the 2021 season. 
  • Patriots QB Drake Maye is firmly in the MVP conversation. He’s fifth in passing yards (2,285), tied for third with 17 passing TDs and leads the NFL with a 116.9 passer rating. 
  • Maye has passed for 250+ yards in two straight, four out of five games and in six of nine games this season. 
  • After throwing for 2+ TDs in 11 of 12 games dating back to last season, Buccaneers QB Baker Mayfield has one total passing TD over the past two games. He had 2+ passing TDs in 13 of 18 games last season, including playoffs and now in 30 of his 46 games played with the Bucs.

  • WR Puka Nacua returned last week after missing Week 7 with a foot injury. He left Week 9’s game vs. the Saints with a chest injury, but is expected to play. Nacau has 85+ receiving yards in all six games in which he saw action in the second half. 
  • RB Christian McCaffrey failed to top 70 rushing yards in the first six games of the season, but has 100+ yards in two of his last three. 
  • McCaffrey has 3+ receptions and 6+ targets in all nine games this season. In seven of the games, he has 5+ catches. 
  • Filling in for starter Brock Purdy, Niners QB Mac Jones threw for 275+ yards in his first four starts, with 6 passing TDs. In his last three games, has not reached 240+ passing yards. 
  • San Francisco entered Week 6 averaging 291.5 pass yards per game, tops in the NFL. Entering Week 10, the Niners pass offense is fifth at 255.0 yards per game.  On the flip side, their rushing offense is 26th at 97.1 yards per game.

  • Chargers QB Justin Herbert had passed for 250+ yards in three of his last four games and in five of nine games this season. He has 2+ passing TDs in four straight games and in six of nine this season.
  • The Chargers leading rusher in three of the last five games? Justin Herbert, who has 20+ rushing yards in seven of nine games this season and 30+ in his last three.
  • L.A. TE Oronde Gadsden Jr., son of former Miami Dolphins WR Oronde Gadsden, has 5+ catches in four straight games. 
  • WR Keenan Allen has 954 receptions in a Chargers uniform, one behind HOFer Antonio Gates for the franchise record. The last time Allen played a game without a catch was 2018.

  • Ever since WR A.J. Brown met with Barkley and Hurts, his numbers have gone up. In two games since, Brown has 10 receptions on 15 targets for 201 yards and 2 TDs.   • Jacobs has 1+ rushing TDs in 16 of the last 17 games, dating back to last season.
  • Packers QB Jordan Love has thrown for 250+ yards in six of eight games this season, averaging 258.9 pass yards per game. 
  • Love’s 107.9 passer rating is sixth best in the NFL.
