The 2026 NFL Draft is under a week away, with the first round kicking off on Thursday, April 23. This year’s edition is led by a strong group of defensive prospects, but don’t overlook this offensive class.

Notre Dame RB Jeremiyah Love is an elite prospect on offense. He’s expected to be the first running back off the board, as seen in our 2026 NFL Mock Draft, thanks to his elite collegiate production and speed.

Love has run away as the favorite to be the first halfback off the board, but who will be the second running back drafted? Below, we’ll provide payouts from PrizePicks Team Picks for the second running back selected in the 2026 NFL Draft and break down the top contenders to fall second behind Love.

Second RB Drafted in 2026 NFL Draft, Payouts

Similar to Fernando Mendoza for QBs, Love is far above the competition, as PrizePicks Team Picks gives the Notre Dame prospect a 33.33x payout for “No” to be the first running back selected in the 2026 NFL Draft.

It’s a long shot anyone surpasses Love, so let’s focus on the second running back drafted in 2026.

Here are the payouts for the top tailbacks to be the second RB drafted in next week’s 2026 NFL Draft, via PrizePicks Team Picks.

All 2026 NFL Draft payout data is from PrizePicks Team Picks. It's live as of writing but is subject to change.

  • Jadarian Price, Notre Dame: Yes 1.13x | No 5x
  • Nick Singleton, Penn State: Yes 4.76x | No N/A
  • Mike Washington Jr., Arkansas: Yes 8.33x | No 1.03x
  • Jonah Coleman, Washington: Yes 11.11x | No N/A
  • Emmett Johnson, Nebraska: Yes 22.22x | No N/A

Top RB Prospects for the 2026 NFL Draft After Jeremiyah Love

Love could be the only running back drafted in the first round on Thursday, April 23. However, a chain of halfbacks could be selected on day two in the second and third rounds on Friday, April 24.

Let’s break down the top three running back prospects following Love.

Payouts indicate real-money earnings if a 2026 NFL Draft prediction is correct; for example, 2x on a $100 entry would pay out $200 on PrizePicks Team Picks. “Yes” payouts represent a specific outcome occurring, whereas "No" payouts indicate the opposite.

1. Jadarian Price, Notre Dame

Drafted in First Round of 2026 NFL Draft: Yes 3.22x | No 1.09x

Love’s running mate at Notre Dame, Jadarian Price, has emerged as the favorite to be the second running back selected in the 2026 NFL Draft. He has a 3.22x payout to be drafted in the first round, meaning he will likely be available for day two of the draft.

With Love dominating touches at Notre Dame, Price’s workload was limited to 8.3 rushing attempts per game over the 2024 and 2025 seasons. He took advantage of every opportunity by logging 6.1 yards per carry, 50.7 rushing yards per game, and 0.6 rushing TDs per contest in the two-season split.

Standing at 5’10⅝” and 203 pounds, Price turned in a solid combine with a 4.49 40-yard dash, 1.61 10-yard split, and 10’4” broad jump. His 71 athleticism score on NFL.com ranks 10th out of running back prospects, and Price’s 8.58 relative athleticism score sits in the 86th percentile since 1987.

The former Fighting Irish back won’t blow your socks off with speed, but he’s a patient runner that usually hits the right lanes. Price’s ability to dissect defenses as a pure runner may lead to success at the next level.

2. Nick Singleton, Penn State

Third Running Back Drafted in 2026 NFL Draft: Yes 1.38x | No N/A

Penn State RB Nick Singleton was a key cog of the Nittany Lions’ offense in all four of his collegiate seasons. After logging 1,061 rushing yards and 6.8 yards per carry in his 2022 freshman season, followed by 1,099 rushing yards and 6.4 yards per carry in his 2024 junior campaign, Singleton boasted potential NFL first-round upside.

However, he stumbled in his senior season, logging only 549 rushing yards and 4.5 yards per rushing attempt in 2025. Furthermore, Pro Football Focus gave Singleton a concerning 2.69 yards after contact per carry last season. For context, he posted 4.58 yards after contact per rushing attempt in 2022 and 3.54 in the 2024 season.

The Penn State product also broke a bone in his right foot in January, holding him out of the NFL Combine and his pro day. He’s now been cleared to resume running, but his stock has already paid the price.

His speed and explosiveness are strengths, and he’s a threat as a receiver. Singleton’s vision as a ball carrier is a concern, but if this develops, he has true three-down upside.

3. Mike Washington Jr., Arkansas

Third Running Back Drafted in 2026 NFL Draft: Yes 2.27x | No 1.19x

After recording 725 rushing yards and 4.6 yards per carry at New Mexico State in 2024, Mike Washington Jr. transferred to Arkansas. As the Razorbacks’ lead carrier, he enjoyed the best season of his five-year collegiate career.

Washington finished the 2025 campaign with 1,070 rushing yards, 6.4 yards per carry, 226 receiving yards, and 8.1 yards per catch.

Backed by an absurd combine, Washington has a good chance of being the third running back selected in the 2026 class. He’s 6’1” and 223 pounds, ran a 4.33 40-yard dash and a 1.51 10-yard split, capped by a 39-inch vertical jump and 10’8” broad jump. The former Razorback earned a 9.87 RAS, ranking 29 out of 2,153 running back prospects since 1987 (99th percentile).

Washington has the size to become a bruiser in the run game, paired with elite straight-line speed. Following a strong 2025 season, a franchise will likely take a swing on his elite measurables on day two of the 2026 NFL Draft.
