PrizePicks Packs

Last updated: October 14, 2026

PrizePicks Packs is our digital version of classic trading card packs. Buy digital card packs, rip them open, and see what real trading card you pull. Every card has a Fair Market Value, and you can sell your card back for 100% of the value or have it shipped to you.

Who can use PrizePicks Packs

We’re quickly rolling PrizePicks Packs out to more Members across the country. If you don’t see it in the main navigation of your app yet, don’t worry. It’s coming to you soon, in all 50 states.

Once PrizePicks Packs is available on your app, you’re ready to go. If your identity is verified and you’re legally allowed to use PrizePicks where you’re located, then you can buy packs.

How to use PrizePicks Packs

Ready to rip your first pack? Here’s how it works:

  1. Navigate to PrizePicks Packs. Tap the PrizePicks Packs tab in the bottom navigation bar of the PrizePicks app.
  2. Choose a pack. Packs come in three types: hoops, football, and Pokémon. Pack prices range from $1 to $2,500.
  3. Rip it. Open your digital pack and reveal the card.
  4. Sell or ship. We'll show you your card and its Fair Market Value (FMV). You decide if you want to sell it back for 100% off the FMV or add it to your Locker. From your Locker, you have 3 days to sell it back or ship it to yourself.

What’s inside and estimated pull value

Each mystery pack contains one real trading card that’s stored at one of our secure storage facilities. When you open a pack, we’ll show you the real card you pulled.

Before you buy a pack, tap the What’s inside button to see the estimated value of what you might pull from that pack. Estimated pull value is broken out into tiers, like Starter, MVP, or GOAT. For each tier, you’ll see a range of FMVs and the percentage of cards from that tier that are present in the pack. Each tier includes a variety of cards within that FMV range.

You can also see real GOAT cards you might pull from that pack, which are the highest tier of card values within that pack.

When viewing estimated pull values, remember that all percentages are estimates and may fluctuate based on card availability. Estimated pull value is not financial advice.

Card value and selling back

Fair Market Value (FMV) is a data-backed estimate of a card’s worth. When you pull a card, you can sell it back for 100% of the FMV.

PrizePicks determines FMV using data from independent third-party service providers.

Our buyback offer is 100% of your card’s FMV. This means that if your card has an FMV of $20, you’ll get $20 instantly when you sell back to us. The proceeds from your card will be added to your PrizePicks balance and can be used across all PrizePicks products.

Our buyback offer holds for 3 days, and it won’t change during that window. So if your card has a FMV of $20 when you pull it, our buyback offer will remain at $20.

Adding cards to your Locker

If you want to ship your card, or if you want more time to think about selling, add your card to your Locker. From there, you have 3 days to ship it or sell it back.

If you don’t act within 3 days of the moment you open your pack, your card will sell back to PrizePicks at 100% of the FMV. The full amount of the sale will be added to your PrizePicks balance.

Shipping your card

Want to add your card to your personal collection? Easy. After you open a pack, tap Add to Locker. Then, navigate to the Locker tab at the top of the PrizePicks Packs page. From there, tap your card, choose Ship, and enter your shipping information.

Shipping fees and taxes are calculated after you enter your information. You’ll use your PrizePicks balance to pay for shipment.

You can track your shipment from the Locker at any time. We’ll also send you an email with a tracking link once your card ships.

If you have questions about your package after it has shipped, your shipping provider can give you the most up to date information. Your shipping provider and tracking number will be displayed on your order details screen in the PrizePicks app. You can use the tracking number to track your package on the shipping provider’s website or you can contact them directly for more information.

FAQs

Q: Where is my card / package?
A: If you opted to ship your card, your card shipment will need to be processed. Depending on which vault facility holds your specific card, delivery typically takes 1 to 3 weeks once requested. You can track your shipment’s current status and carrier tracking number directly in your account history.

Q: Are the estimated pull values rigged or manipulated?
A: No. All pack outcomes and pull rates are completely pre-committed, randomized, and verifiable. Every pack opened has the exact same published estimated pull value regardless of prior pulls or account history.

Q: How is the value/buyback offer of my card determined?
A: Card values and instant sellback offers are fixed based on the Fair Market Value (FMV) sourced directly from market data at the exact moment of your pack rip. This ensures transparent, real-time pricing for all buyback offers.

Q: Can I cancel my pack purchase or get a refund after opening?
A: No. Due to the randomized nature of pack openings, all sales are final once a pack is opened, and no refunds can be issued. However, you have the option to instantly sell back your card for its Fair Market Value or request physical shipment.

Q: How long do I have to decide whether to keep, sell back, or ship my card, and can I request an extension?
A: You have 3 days (72 hours) from the moment your pack is opened to choose whether to sell back or request physical shipment for your card. If no action is taken within 3 days, the system will accept the buyback offer at the card’s Fair Market Value. We cannot grant extensions to this decision window.

Q: Why are shipping fees charged per card or varying across my items?
A: Shipping fees are calculated based on the specific vault partner holding your physical card and their individual fulfillment rates.

Q: How long does it take for my order to ship?
A: Once requested, orders typically take 1 to 2 business days to move into transit and receive tracking information. Final delivery usually takes 1 to 3 weeks depending on the carrier and regular shipping times .

Q: Can I cancel or reverse my shipment request?
A: Shipment requests can only be canceled or updated prior to being processed by the fulfillment center. Once a shipment status moves past the cancellation window and is released to the carrier, the shipment cannot be reversed or recalled.

Q: What happens if my physical card arrives damaged or is the wrong item?
A: If your item arrives damaged or incorrect, please submit photos of the packaging, the card, and the certification number within 10 business days of delivery. Our support team will review the claim and issue an appropriate resolution.

Q: What should I do if my package arrives empty or is missing an item?
A: Please inspect the packaging and contact support immediately with clear photos of the shipping box, label, and contents. We will investigate the shipment and review the claim for appropriate resolution.

Q: What should I do if my graded card case arrives damaged or scratched?
A: Minor surface scuffs on the protective case do not affect the internal card's condition, grade, or value. If the case has major damage or a large crack, please provide photos of the slab and certification number so our team can evaluate it for resolution.

Q: Why is my account on hold or my card value frozen?
A: Account holds or shipment pauses occur during routine compliance or security reviews to ensure account and asset safety. Our team is actively reviewing your account status and will update you as soon as the review is complete.

Q: Do I need to verify my identity to use PrizePicks Packs?
A: Identity verification is a requirement for all Members when creating a PrizePicks account. If you've already completed the verification process for your account, then you are all set; there is no additional requirement specifically for Packs. However, if you are new to the platform, you'll need to go through the normal identity verification process as a prerequisite for creating a PrizePicks account.
